  1. I know Coach Frost wants to be back next season; however I can not speak for Coach Frost if he intends to or what ever. I think he will be back and I think in a couple of years Community can be right where they should be. Peoples in Unionville might not like me saying this, but right now Community is just not that talented (in football). Every team we have played except one has been more talented and sometimes much more talented than us,
  2. Who wins? OK I am assuming everyone thinks Monterey wins, but is this the game Community finally finds the end zone? Also what does Monterey like to do? I know Community is 0 and 5, but for the team they are they have played a really tough schedule. I am not saying their schedule has been one of the toughest or anything; however for a team like Community it is a murder schedule. I mean their opponents records are a combined 19-3. Community Has been in every game except for one starting the 3rd. I know it may not look like it but their D is not horrible, they are just put in a bad spot a lot and it is hard to gain momentum when you can't score. I love my Vikings and I wish them the best this week, and hopefully they will find the end zone.
  3. I am no Jo Byrns fan, and being able to score a lot of points does not make you tough. Being big or strong doesn't make you tough, being tough is more mental than anything. And I stand behind my post NCS has a really good football team; I just do not think as a team NCS is extremely tough. Maybe this season you guys will be put to the test and prove me wrong. Maybe sometime this season NCS will find themselves in a dog fight, and some team will be punching you guys in the mouth (hard nosed football not literally), and maybe the entire team will pick themselves up and find the toughness to win. Until the I will just say you guys have a good football team.
  4. Nashville Christian is a really good team, but they need to get much tougher. I think to be one of the great teams (of the year) you have to be tough, and I did not see that from them. Also when you get much past their starters it goes down hill faster than a monkey on a banana. No offense any Nashville Christian fans, just my 2 cents and I do think you guys are a good team.
  5. Guys I am not trying to argue with anyone. I would think that LCA would be a very valuable asset for a child, and they would probably get a much better education than some or even most public schools. Tlynne I wasn't pointing out your child as I am sure he is a great kid and student. I also do like the fact your child can pray in school. My children went to a small rural school and thankfully prayer is accepted there. I also stated that I did not know that LCA lowers their standards and was not suggesting that they do; however what I said was a fact. I know who they are and that is all fine. I was just stating that I personally did not respect the situation where a kid could fail at one place and not be allowed to play, but come to another school and then be allowed to play. I also stated that maybe parents, and staff members didn't know. I think that if a child has the opportunity to attend a private school it would defiantly be a good thing, and I am sure LCA is a fine institution. I just do not like the one thing I mentioned. I am apologize if I ruffled some feathers, as that was not my intention. I also think instead of becoming upset with me everyone should just try to make sure things like what I was saying does not happen.
  6. I said I would leave the topic alone and I will; however it seems as if you are misinformed and I will make one more statement. There ARE current players and starters on LCA that would not qualify at other schools. Maybe they are doing their work this year I do not know. All you have to do is look at your roster, now find the players who were not on the team last year, cross reference those and find where they went last year and just see if they made the grades. I am sure some of them did, but I know for a FACT some of them did not.
  7. I am sure that many people do not think this is happening, and I am also sure some administrators do not know this is happening, but it is STILL happening. I stated earlier "current players" and I stand behind that statement because I know it to be true, and I know who some of them are. I will leave this topic alone, as I am not really trying to put a school or it's students down, and I do not be argumentative at all. I can say LCA seems to have a pretty good team this year and sometimes that comes at a price.
  8. Let's say a kid is in school and he fails, because of this he is not allowed to play football for that school in the upcoming season. Now this same kid transfers to Lancaster and is allowed to play right away; this is what happens at this school and some others. No kid should be rewarded for failing, for not applying themselves or for getting into trouble. I am not saying this school lowers their standards for current students as I do not know; however I do know they will let students come in and play sports who did not make the grades at other schools. In football in particular the same student could still make failing grades and play an entire season and then not be allowed after their grades come out. That would be two seasons in a row the kid got to play all while making failing grades, and that should not happen.
  9. This school may do good things for athletes and for families, I do not know. However I can never respect a high school that will take in kids who are not eligible at other schools and let them play sports. If you flunk out of school A, heck come on down here to school B and you can play, that is the Lancaster moto. I can name names and even current players, but I will not because this is not the students fault. The organization and parents are at fault and this type of crap should never happen.
  10. Congratz MTCS you guys are much improved from last year, good luck the rest of the season. I know players on teams that do not win and don't score at all do not get much respect; however I got to give big props to my man, defensive tackle AJ Harris. Through 3 quarters he had 8 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and a sack. Get healthy AJ.
  11. Hey your not butting in, that is what these threads are for. You gave your opinion, and reasons behind your opinion. As long as people are on point with the topic I think it is cool to join in any of them. Good luck with MC tonight.
  12. Who wins? Can Coach Frost get his team to finally find the end zone? If Community wants a win this season it has to start here, and they must find a way to play a complete game without multiple turnovers.
  13. Right or wrong, I don't know, but you got to give him credit for saying it. If that is what you believe why not say it. Each year every coach looks at their schedule and they think to themselves, "that should be a win", "this should be a win", "woa that will be a tight one", "we should murder that team" so fourth and so fourth, however no coach actually tells people this, but we all know it happens.
  14. OH, and yes this is defiantly the game of the week in 9a.
  15. I think this will be a close game, I say Forrest by 6; however I think Eagleville has the better athletes so I could be wrong. I will say that I think you are dead wrong on your assessment that Forrest has not been tested and Eagleville has. I would think a blowout win against Moore Co and a slight loss to Cascade is just as much of a test, if not more so, than a slight loss to Jo Byrns.
  16. I thought Silverdale was a tough team last year. This year I think they are a pretty good team, but not nearly as tough. I do think Silverdale will do well this year, but could have problems with good teams who want to punch you in the mouth.
  17. Hats off to cascade they played a good game and and got a deserved win. I almost could not believe staring up at the clock late in the 3rd, Vikings down by 7 and they had the ball on the 2. After Community failed to score they game was over; It almost seemed like Community lost all hope and went back to playing like they had almost all year. I got to give the coaches some credit as two weeks in a row they totally changed up the offense just to try and get something going. Last night Community were able to move the ball consistently for 3 qts, but a fumble here, and interception there, and several penalties later no scores. Moving Harris to the backfield worked wonders, they just needed a perfect game and they didn't have one. On the other hand Community has not had any kind of offense all year and I will take 3 quarters of good game play. Good Luck Cascade, also please don't take this the wrong way. I think you guys could do something good this season; however you guys have got to work hard on your special teams.
  18. I know everyone has answered you already, but man you have got to try the cheese sticks, best I have ever eaten and it ain't even close. Steaks are great too.
  19. Cascade has looked pretty good this year and Community as bad as probably any team. I love them Vikings, but Cascade should win this won easily. I will go out on a limb saying, in this game Community will find the end zone for the first time this season.
  20. I know everyone wants to win, and every kid that puts in their blood, sweat and tears deserves to win; however I firmly believe that if a man has character it will always be strengthened in defeat. If a kid loses on the field week after week, yet still gives everything he has week after week, that kid will have the character that many champions will never know. If that kid can pick himself up game after game, week after week, and still show sportsmanship and still be proud of what he is doing, that kid will win in life. High School football is about life lessons and I believe it teaches kids life lessons, and many of the best lessons I have ever learned came from defeat. If there is one kid in Richland with the heart and the desire to give everything he has got every week then Richland football is not dead.
  21. Any Richland fans on here? One of their running backs got hurt last week at the jamboree and I was wondering how he is doing. I was looking over film and on the play the kid got hurt it looked really bad. Any news would be great and we pray he is doing OK.
  22. Community has won 8 games in their 8 (I think) years of existence, but seven have come in the past two seasons. Community lost some good talent from last season, they have more size than ever (still not saying they are big), and they have a couple good of play-makers. Community tends to have bad plays or bad penalties at the worst times, and it was evident in their jamboree. In a couple of years Community should be able to play with everyone on district 9a and hopefully on a year to year basis. I say this as the freshmen and sophomores have all grown up playing football, and look way beyond the freshman and sophomores Community has had in the past.
  23. I know this isn't Tennessee or even high school, but Presbyterian, is still called the Blue Hose
  24. Are there any lineman challenges, football events or strength events going on this summer? If so what? where? and when? Thanks in advance
  25. Community Beat Red Boiling Springs 6 TD's to 1 without their starting running back and without their defensive captain. Community looked pretty good at times on offense and their D held strong. Community has an all new O line and they must gel quickly if they want to make a run and try to get to the playoffs. Community has some really good play makers, a 4 year starter at QB, and most teams will have to get a passing game going to beat them. If their line makes it happen they should win more games than they ever have; however if it doesn't it could be a long season.
