  1. Man oh man, now why did you have to bring up the record against us at Oakland? DANG.... now I am depressed. Seems like we played on Friday the 13th every time we turned around to jinx us. For some reason yall had our number and we had some freaky finishes over the years, didn't we? The one that stands out the most to me was in 99 when we won 7-3 at your place. Not sure if you were coaching there then or not, but we lost in the semis that year, and I don't think anyone in the playoffs ( except for Sevier who put us out) played us as tough as your devils did. My son was on that OHS team and he was sore as a cobb that next morning. Your team was strong as oxes. Probably the biggest mistake Ferg made at OHS was putting another coach in charge of the weightroom instead of Moose. It showed right away. Our o line was blown off the ball every play. His second mistake was trying to go to the wingt with an OC that didn't seem to know how to set up the plays.I really think those two moves cost Ferg his job at the end of that year. Mac inherited some 3 yr starters with good technique on D. I do respect the program at LHS.There have been lots of tough players with lots of heart over the years. It seeems like whoever coaches there gets messed over by the so-called fans. We have had a few backstabbers over the years at OHS, but I don't think anywhere compares with those fools at Lebanon or seegull. Will Brown continue to coach elsewhere or will he hang it up? Riverdale could sure use a better defensive coodinator. Could you see LOD if Borwn turned up there with the lift and the laptop? How could there still be a Maynord kid there? I thought he and the brother both graduated by now. Those kids were heck of athletes.
  2. It is a new year and all the players on your school's team are considered a grade level older. What are your hopes for this coming football season? I hope we work a bit harder on the leg strength of our o-linemen this year at Oakland. It seems like they weren't as strong as in yr's past. Hit that weightroom hard in the off-season boys!
  3. Moose is well thought of in our 7AAA region and at Oakland. Sounds like he has been successful as head man at Gordonsville too. Best of continued luck to him. What about the guy at Trousdale that used to be at Riverdale? Creasy. Has he put his name in on this job? I think he could make that place competitive fast. The boys liked him in warrior country. I wonder if Britton is putting his name in ?
  4. What is this reputation stuff on the profile? How do you get points or give them?
  5. Hey buddy, hope you and your family had a Merry Christmas and are ready to start a successful new year.

  6. Do you know who has applied, wingman? Will Britton throw his hat in?
  7. I agree. He was a good defensive mind and seemed to get alot out of his players there. I know they gave us fits at OHS a few times.
  8. He was at Lincoln County for a long time. I know he was head coach at Lavergne before Hester. Then he left there to be head coach at Marshall County while waiting for Louie to retire. He recently went to LC as an assistant. So he has gone full circle. Good luck to him.
  9. Same to you all. I don't know about you but I can't wait to eat. The kitchen smells are getting to me.
  10. Hate to tell you, Kevin and Fredsamual, but pushy parents are the norm these days. It isn't just exclusive to you in Lebanon. There are backstabbers and whiners at Oakland, Riverdale, Blackman, and double the amount at Seegull. In my opinion, seegull would be the worst atmosphere to coach in. Those boosters want to make every single decision and are alot of the cause of the record that place has.
  11. Man oh man, that was funny.....but really it isn't a moving van, isn't it the SS Minnow?
  12. Congrats! What an honor to be chosen by such a prestigious university. Not only will he be playing some football, but an education from there equals dollar signs.
  13. gwave1, I will be at the Sept. 9th one for sure.
  14. It is a much easier district road at Lebanon than at Oakland, OP . It is easier to schedule games in non-region too as well. OHS is having to play the big dogs week in and week out. let's just say that Lebanon hasn't been a factor for several years now, so who wouldn't want to play them? You can only go UP there. The post above was a good one. In his earlier yrs at Lebanon , playing Brown was a barnburner . But I think everyone knows he has run his course and the folk there turned on him.
  15. It is because he found out that he wasn't immortal after all at Oakland. He took a lot of flack after that loss to Franklin. When you win, folk dismiss a few things that they don't like......when you lose....it all comes floating to the surface. Maybe Mac's skin isn't as tough as we thought it was. But then again, it could be the old "I need some money for Christmas ploy that Rankin did every yr...." I would hate to see him leave OHS, but if he isn't satisfied there, so be it.
  16. Congrats to Coach Keasler. The guy deserves his shot as a head coach. I wish him the best. Smyrna is going to have a hard time filling his shoes. With expectations high at Smyrna once again, Williams will need to find some heavy-hitter to get the job done. I don't think anyone's defense was faster than Smyrna's was this yr.
  17. Not sure how long he was at TC, but I do know he coached the offensive line there. That was crazy about the situation at LC where the Giles coach backed out already.
  18. DANG, you can tell that I live out of state for sure and am out of the loop. I had no clue. Good for keasler. He deserved his shot and starting a brand new program will certainly test the waters. Portland, all I can say is....hohoho! That is funny. They go from Coach Perry to the Tony Franklin program. I don't want White to leave OHS. I think if he leaves there that we start to decline fast. He is a reason for much of our success.
  19. Hey cat, how is the recruitment going at OHS for Brock?

Do you think Keasler is interested in the Lebanon job? Can you believe they finally got rid of Brown?

  20. Tray Aric? Scott Smith? Kevin Creasey? David Watson? Bobby Wells? Kris White? Keasler at Smyrna? Just throwing some names out for discussion. I would offer Keasler myself. He deserves a shot as a head coach. He has been the DC and made it to the state with two different head coaches at Smyrna, so who is the constant?? We don't want to lose White at OHS but he would make a good one too. Creasey has proven himself with two back to back state championships, but does it translate over from 2a to 6a? Whoever comes in better be ready to do battle with Perry at MJ and fight to keep kids from transferring to FC.
  21. Thanks for confirming. Are any of the assistants throwing their hat in the ring on this job? I had heard they were building a new school there so this could be a pretty sweet situation with a nice new complex like MJ's. Lebanon's current stadium is pretty rundown. Wonder if Scott Smith tries for it.
  22. I cannot confirm this and hope I am not passing on rumors, but I got an email that said Brown just resigned today at Lebanon. Can anyone that way confirm this?
  23. LOD, you are one of the toughest guys ever. Are you already home? Glad to hear from you. Coach Dobbs is a good addition to Riverdale. Since he came from Trousdale, you know he knows what taking it all the way means. the players that I know from RHS seem to like him and respect him.
  24. Man oh Man, Wingman...that is exactly how I like my OHS dogs.
