Coach Knepper I see that it says "retired MTSU wrestling coach". I didn't hear that you retired. Do you know who will be taking over as head coach there or have any ideas who they are looking at? I'm interested to know. I thought you were doing an amazing job with that program. Sad to hear and see you won't be running that program.
I thought Cleveland should have let him go and went on his feet in the third. He took him down with ease in the first period. Watching that match it really looked like a bad choice. Great job Blaike Henry of Soddy Daisy finally winning his state championship in his third finals appearance
They announced it at the tournament that the finals were streaming live for free and they will be up and free till Sunday night. That's what the announcer said anyways.
Kaleb Rippy from Beech placing as well is curious at 145. He lost to Danyon Edens of Mt. Juliet that he could see in the second round. I believe whomever wins between Edens of Mt. Juliet and Cleveland of Indy beats Rippy of Beech in the second round then loses in the third round to Croley of Pigeon Forge. Just my opinion of course.
He is assciated with Beech. Beech's head coach's son wrestles for coachknepper. A few of Beech's wrestlers wrestle for his summer club team. Plus MTSU wrestled Cumberland at Beech's Invitational tournament. So I would say there is a strong tie between Beech and MTSU wth coachknepper. But it doesn't matter because coachknepper can have his own opinion on who is going to place where. I will tell you this: No way in heck at 126 does Elan McClasand of Beech beat Tucker Russo of Soddy Daisy. That's just crazy talk.
I believe Michael Murphy can not be stopped from winning State at 106 this year. Chalifoux is still a great wrestler but Murphy is toouch to handle this year.
Love of MLK should be in the finals against Freeman of Ravenwood at 145 and this could be a possible upset as well. Garcia of Hillsboro at 152 could take that weight class. The top three at 152 I believe are all super tough. I also see Musa of Overton beating Pelky of Indy at 106. Lots of great finals matches in this region
