  1. Homecoming too never seen homecoming this early in the season and yeah we probably will run some wildcat tomorrow too ran it alot against Maryville I wish we would put a couple of jet sweeps in our playbook for #1 get him outside because hes really good in the open field
  2. Our qb broke his collarbone in the Sevier Co scrimmage so I bet hes out til at least the middle of the season at the earliest prob #2 is our starter now hes a junior I think he has potential to be good but the injury happening at the end of the 3 scrimmages hurt because the backup has only got to be the starter for 2 qtrs of a jamboree and the Maryville game I think the more time he gets the better he'll get. As for the game I think it will be close we got up on them 14-0 last year and I thought we were in good shape after that they just ran the ball down our throats pretty much I think it ended up 41-21 them, if our offense plays like I watched them play in the Sevier Co scrimmage we should win but I won't be surprised if AC gets us.
  3. As bad as I hate to say it you might be right about this being one of the only few we have a chance the passing game looks non existent right now after Maryville went up 21 0 we pretty much just started running the wildcat all game I don't know if they were just throwing in the towel and just trying to get out of there healthy but they can't just line up and run the ball 40 times a game and win because our lines not big enough to dominate anybody they figure out the passing situation I think they'll still be a playoff team but theres some things that still need to be fixed
  4. I really thought WB was going to beat LC worse than they did I thought maybe before that it might've been a close game but now I'm gonna say Alcoa 35 and I'll give William Blount 14 just because I think Myrick is a very good qb and he might be able to connect on a bomb or two for a quick strike td but the last td will be a garbage time td Alcoa won't have much stress in this game
  5. Ok week 2 both of us played state championship caliber teams week 1 and got blown out I honestly think this is a winnable game for us if we figure out the qb situation but I won't be surprised either if AC beats us like they did last year. Thoughts?
  6. 44 6 the wildcat formation seems like it might have some success for us against other teams still gotta figure out the qb situation too and gotta fix the fumbles and we had a snap go over the punters head wish he would've just booted it through the end zone for a safety instead of running because we gave Maryville the ball on the 1 yd line but wouldn't have mattered
  7. http://vcloud.volarvideo.com/broadcast/embed/33821?slug=game-1-maryville-heritage&autoplay=1 theres the link for the game hopefully it works today because if it starts getting ugly and the rain starts coming down I'll probably head to the house and finish it on here theres about 6 or 7 other teams from around here that supposedly have this streaming thing this yr too
  8. I would love to score 28 tonight but I don't think that will happen I think Hammontree will play the 1s really late into the game no matter what the score is though just to give the new qb some work so we probably could score 2 or 3 garbage tds to get too 28
  9. This has probably been asked in the earlier pages of the forum but is Higgins going to play tomorrow with the game being on tv I'm hoping hes going to play I think whether he plays or doesn't Oak Ridge still wins though
  10. I'm not 100% that its true but I was told yesterday that we might move #12 the wr that threw in the passing competition to qb until the main qb comes back I honestly think thats probably the best thing they can do
  11. Its a broken collarbone I was told 6 wks at the earliest
  12. Yeah there defense doesn't look good at all backups or not I've heard both there o-line and d-line are going to struggle I think if you come out trying to throw against them your doing them a favor if I was a coach I would do like Alcoa did Maryville about 5 years ago and not throw a pass
  13. You guys will put the mercy clock on us thats for sure just a matter of if we can keep it under 35 before half I thought we might've had a chance to do that watching them Tuesday but finding out our starting qb is out for a while and we have to use a backup it will probably get ugly quickly I just want us to make it out of the game healthy I saw our LT today got rolled up on and I saw him on the sidelines with ice and crutches so thats not good I'm thinking it'll be something like 55-14 Maryville.
  14. Yeah I saw them mixing in a bunch of different rbs did Cobb play any tonight I forgot what number he was
  15. According to the woman in front of me that wasn't any of the wb starters playing today I was hoping to see some of the skill guys play because I've been hearing there really good
  16. You guys looked good we had trouble moving the ball on you guys but we found out today that our starting qb broke his collarbone which really sucks so #2 is our starter now your defense forced him to throw a int and fumble the only points you guys gave up was a deep pass that our safety picked and took to the house after that we put in a few of the backups and #1 broke a long run out of the wildcat I think you guys will go back to state or at least make it to the semis at the worst that #1 you guys got is a beast
  17. We won't beat anybody if we don't figure out the qb situation #2 in the maryville game looked very bad but that could always be the Maryville factor then we put in our second string once Maryville put theres in and I though 15 looked better but then in the Greenback game 2 started making better throws but he turned it over twice one int and a fumble but if he can just make the simple throws like curls and slants and not turn the ball over I think he'll be fine
  18. The starter is alot better runner though I thought the read option would've been real deadly this year running with him running the ball the backup is capable of running but hes not as athletic I don't think
  19. The last td of the half to make it 41 was the backup so they scored 34 with the starter I think they only scored twice with the backup and 2 more times with the third string
  20. The 2 qtrs of the jamboree are probably a blessing for us because I don't know how much the backup has played with the ones so they can use the jamboree tonight to get him some reps with the first string wrs
  21. Just got to hope it wasn't a bad break and that he can maybe come back some time this season we like to throw a lot of short high percentage passes we have some very good skill players at wr all hes got to do is get it to them and let them make plays
  22. I just read a daily times article Hammontree said that Cooper is good at throwing deep balls like 55 to 60 yards, but he said he still needs to work on the short and medium passes
  23. If your talking about the Carnes kid he went to Maryville we got two backups DJ Cooper should start now I was wrong hes a junior he came in the scrimmage when it was 34 14 and threw a 5 yard slant to Amburn who ended up scoring on it he looks like he can run pretty good as well but there was a few throws he made in the 2nd half where he tried to force it and was lucky they wasn't picked off. Backup will probably be Max Bowers hes #15 I didn't really get to watch him throw any because he came in during the 4th qtr and they were just really running the ball then I think hes a catcher on the baseball team as well
  24. If you guys don't want to travel to the game I think that Heritage is going to stream the jamboree they said there going to post a link when the game starts on this facebook page https://www.facebook.com/Heritage-Mountaineer-Football-by-Diamond-Clear-263516797354989/
  25. According to one of my friends step brother that still goes to Heritage our starting qb broke his collarbone the backup that came in seemed like he did pretty good hes just a sophomore
