Maryville played very conservative on defense vs DB......kept everything in front of them and did not pursue all out, did not want to over pursue and give up big play. I would say this style of play had a big impact on how much "impact tackling" was dished out. MHS has some big hitters. Happy Thanksgiving to all Go Rebels

I would agree about Coach Hunt, he could be the next big thing at Maryville. If and when GQ steps down Coach Hunt will have several years of experience under GQ's wing. I would say Hunt is at to stay. He also is an assistant with the basketball team. I would make the call to Nix ......Sweetland would be ood option also.

I see this game coming down to coaching. I know Foreman is a great athlete and very fast, but can he actually put together a passing game ? My bet is Foreman will be forced into throwing the ball. Gaylor will have the defense ready to roll and make Foreman beat Maryville with his arm and not his legs. If Maryville's defense keeps the busted plays to a minimum they win this game 42-14. Nick Myers will pick apart DB's secondary. According to some people that have seen both teams play Oak Ridge is more physical team than DB. Maryville is at home, DB will be forced into passing the ball, playoff experience, all this points to the Maryville Rebels victory. IMO Rebs #23 and #1 have big impact in this game

Nick is having a great season. If given time to throw the ball he will pick the defense apart. He makes great decisions and quick with his reads. Looking forward to this game. If DB has a poor secondary, I expect Nick to have a big night. We have several play makers and the best coaching staff calling the plays. GO REBELS

DB will be in for a shock when this one is over. CLASSIC let down game after emotional win last week. I think this could be the upset of the 1st round.

Subs have gotten more play time this season than the starters have. I hope Coach Sentell let's his starters play most of this game. These kids have worked their tails off all season (starters) and deserve to play this game out. Go Rebs, Southerners, and Lil Rebs

Very dominating win for the Rebels. Best the defense has looked all year. Ready to see the playoffs start. Rebels appear to be ready for another run, one game at a time begins next Friday.

Should be a clean sweep with Lil Rebs, Southerners, and Rebs all winning Superbowl Titles.

Looking forward to seeing this game. I wish both teams the best but I think Alcoa will win this game. Alcoa is a much better team than last year and will be ready to try and take over as the Big Man in 3A. Should be a fun game to watch.
