Not sure how you figure Tellico Plains as #4 seed in Region 2 when the loss to Sweetwater eliminated Tellico and guaranteed Sweetwater a spot in the playoffs
Well Pride I think we have a tough core group of kids that have needed some time to grasp the new offense. 3 Head Coaches in last 4 years has took a toll but the boys have bought into the new system just didn't have much time to learn it before season started. Against Rockwood we fell apart from the get go like Tiger said. Best back went out on kickoff and didn't play rest of the game. Shock ensued and 5 turnovers later Rockwood's heading back across the interstate. Not sure if SW could have beaten RW but I think it could have been more competitive ball game. I look for a competitive game Friday night against the Rams.
Well thanks Orngnblk appreciate that maybe in the near future we can get a yearly GB/SW thread going I do enjoy the comradery! On another note look forward to hosting GCA this Friday and hope our boys show up and give the Mighty Rams a game. Welcome to the Sweetwater Valley Pride not sure if this is The Rams first visit or not but after the last 2 weeks I just hope it's a dry night for everyone
Maybe, Maybe not but if GB played SW again at least we take the field with local kids instead of bringing them in from Maryville, Sequoyah, Catholic oh wait that's right he went to Loudon before ending up in Good ol' Greenback lol but hey whatever it takes right Orngnblk
Have watched AE and Rockwood both this year. Rockwood will win handily AE hasn't played anybody if they had they sure wouldn't be 6-1, barely beat Tellico with a lot of luck. AE doesn't like to be pounded on and that's exactly what Rockwood does best.
Sweetwater's Defense gave up a total of 203 yards to Meigs County on 55 plays......49 total yards in the 1st half but according to you Orngnblk Sweetwater doesn't have much of a Defense so Meigs shouldn't break 100 yards total against that brick wall in Oneida!
1. Grace
2. Sweetwater
3. Rockwood
4. Austin East
5. Tellico
6. Oliver Springs
7. Wartburg
Grace is of course Grace but I think Sweetwater will surprise this year with a new coach and the kids buying in, Rockwood will be tough as always with Austin East having more athletes than Tellico, Oliver Springs and Wartburg are a toss up.
