  1. I'm taking Rockwood big 35-14 over the Roadrunners. AE couldn't stop the run against Tellico, so can't see them stopping it against The Tigers.
  2. Thank you Orngnblk for pointing out my autocorrect messed up the name
  3. " Fat Hats" good place to eat Raven, try the Superburger and Fries, hard to beat!
  4. Not sure how you figure Tellico Plains as #4 seed in Region 2 when the loss to Sweetwater eliminated Tellico and guaranteed Sweetwater a spot in the playoffs
  5. Not injured, I'm thinking had more to do with weather conditions.
  6. Well Pride I think we have a tough core group of kids that have needed some time to grasp the new offense. 3 Head Coaches in last 4 years has took a toll but the boys have bought into the new system just didn't have much time to learn it before season started. Against Rockwood we fell apart from the get go like Tiger said. Best back went out on kickoff and didn't play rest of the game. Shock ensued and 5 turnovers later Rockwood's heading back across the interstate. Not sure if SW could have beaten RW but I think it could have been more competitive ball game. I look for a competitive game Friday night against the Rams.
  7. Well thanks Orngnblk appreciate that maybe in the near future we can get a yearly GB/SW thread going I do enjoy the comradery! On another note look forward to hosting GCA this Friday and hope our boys show up and give the Mighty Rams a game. Welcome to the Sweetwater Valley Pride not sure if this is The Rams first visit or not but after the last 2 weeks I just hope it's a dry night for everyone
  8. Maybe, Maybe not but if GB played SW again at least we take the field with local kids instead of bringing them in from Maryville, Sequoyah, Catholic oh wait that's right he went to Loudon before ending up in Good ol' Greenback lol but hey whatever it takes right Orngnblk
  9. they have put up gaudy numbers but against some really bad competition, Rockwood will roll
  10. they were good enough to smack Greenback in the mouth in the spring and if I'm not mistaken lost to the same Loudon team this season
  11. Have watched AE and Rockwood both this year. Rockwood will win handily AE hasn't played anybody if they had they sure wouldn't be 6-1, barely beat Tellico with a lot of luck. AE doesn't like to be pounded on and that's exactly what Rockwood does best.
  12. Sweetwater's Defense gave up a total of 203 yards to Meigs County on 55 plays......49 total yards in the 1st half but according to you Orngnblk Sweetwater doesn't have much of a Defense so Meigs shouldn't break 100 yards total against that brick wall in Oneida!
  13. I think we will see a good old fashioned slobberknocker here. Gonna take the Cats at home in a close one over the Tigers. Should be a great game!
  14. 1. Grace 2. Sweetwater 3. Rockwood 4. Austin East 5. Tellico 6. Oliver Springs 7. Wartburg Grace is of course Grace but I think Sweetwater will surprise this year with a new coach and the kids buying in, Rockwood will be tough as always with Austin East having more athletes than Tellico, Oliver Springs and Wartburg are a toss up.
  15. Just so everyone knows the majority of Sweetwater fans are excited and proud to have Coach Edmiston as the leader of our football team. The excitement he has brought so far has definetly made a change in the attitude of the players that can be seen on and off the field. Anyone that attended the scrimmage with Greenback the other night saw glimpses of hard hitting smash mouth Sweetwater football of the past and it was a welcome site for a lot of folks in Sweetwater. I think fans will see that the Sweetwater Administration made the right choice and I for one say Good Job Mr. Weaver and Welcome Coach E!
  16. What's GP look like this year? Years past I remember a big physical line, solid running game and a defense that flies to the ball, anything changed?
  17. True 3 years ago 1st round CAK then 2 years ago beat Tyner in 1st round then felt the F5 in the 2nd round but if your gonna beat makes it easier to know it was to eventual State Champs
  18. I think every team in 3A, minus the obvious Johnson County, is glad they don't have Alcoa first round not just Sweetwater!
  19. I enjoy going to GP, Sweetwater played them few years ago was a good trip and GP has a long tradition of great football. Should be a good game
  20. It does Thank You but Alcoa and CAK are Natural Quad 1 teams while Sweetwater is a Natural Quad 2 or that's what was on TSSAA website anyway
  21. See that's what's confusing to me cause according to the TSSAA we are a NATURAL QUAD 2 not Quad 1.
  22. Really?? So Wouldn't that move Upperman or York since they are further North ? Just curious how they do it since I can't find Distance as one of the criteria
  23. Why would Sweetwater be moved from its Natural Quad 2 North to Quad 1 instead of another team from Quad 2 with a lesser record?
