South Fulton looked solid last night. The girls seemed to come together and play team ball. They played great defense and got a stellar performance from Kaci Beadles. Congratulations on a well deserved victory over a great Greenfield team. This team is only going to improve and will upset several teams this year. Go Big Red!!!!

Just want to congratulate the Lady Jackets on a hard won game. Both teams played extemely tough defense. No it wasn't pretty for either team and both teams showed character by making heroic comebacks but in the end it came down to missed free throws and layups for SF while GF had some players step up and make theirs. I said in an earlier post that the key for SF to win was stopping Atnip and they didn't. She is as good a player in this district that I have seen. There is still alot of BB to be played and SF will be a spoiler down the road. Again good luck to both teams.

I think it will come down to who plays the best defense. In their first meeting SF led most of the game but faltered in mid 3rd qtr. If they can hold the Atnip girl to single digit points then SF wins. I also agree this game will be close. SF has really stepped it up and have started to mature as a team. Should be a good contest.

The Devilettes have come a long way since the season started. If they play ball like they did in the Xmas touney and against Lake Co. then I think it wil be a close one. I agree this could be an upset.

Congratulations to SF girls. You showed character coming from 10 points behind to win. Yes SF is young and last night several of these young players stepped up when it was needed. Keep up the hard work and you will only get better. You are entering a tough 4 game schedule beginning with UC Friday night so stay focused!

Great game girls!! Maddie seems to have hit her stride and is really pitching well. Let's don't forget the good hitting, base running, and fielding fro m her teammates which also contributed to this win. This a fun team to watch!!! Good luck against Halls tomorrow.

thats right. not every west tennessee team is bad. take the south fulton devils as a start. they play a tough schedule in basketball..now softball is a little different. they are a good droup of girls who work hard on and off the field. they have only lost one game so far. they have had about 3games canceled due to the weather. but they deserve credit where credit is due. good luck girls ! all the way to state!

I agree with you that Molly helped spark the SF offense. Harris also lifted them up with 13 4th qtr points that were pivotal. Good play from SF's other role players is also essential. Should be an interesting game. Don't know much about USJ but I do know SF and they have fought adversity all year long and have toppled some big names. They will be ready and will neverback off. This team is hungry for the big show.

Great game!! SF out played Trenton in the 1st half but Trenton came back with some defensive ajustments in the 2nd half that stymied SF. Trenton looks tough to beat down the road and could be the best single A club in the state. Good luck to them and hats off to SF for a great effort. SF still has a lot of fight left and will give USJ all they want. All year long this teamed has been overlooked by most people due to the tough district and region they play in. They have had to prove themselves almost every game. Hopefully now, they will gain the respect they so richly deserve. Great job girls and good luck this Sat.

SF will play Trenton very tough. Last time these 2 teams met it looked like a blowout for Trenton but SF hung in there and showed character and grit before losing in the final minute. Will be a very exciting game to watch. Good luck to both clubs tomorrow night.

Just wanted to say congratulations to SF girls on an outstanding game last night. You have worked hard this year and this was a very deserving win. Let's keep up the hard work so we can go on to the big show. Again congratulations on a job well done.

SF played good hard defense throughout the ballgame. They were behind 27-14 at the half and looked like they were out of it. The 2nd half was all SF especially the 3rd quarter. Two of SF younger players made key shots that sparked the team. Beadles made 2 key 3 pointers and Vinson made several key jump shots that brought SF back and put them ahead at the end of the quarter and they never trailed again. The core trio of seniors also played great with Alexander especially playing agressive defense. The Cross girl probably played her best game to date and seems to be coming around. Hats off to a great Gleason team. As usual they played physical and never gave up and I am sure it will be another good game at Gleason in another couple of weeks.
