  1. Try this. After our game they acted like they had just won the Super Bowl so maybe they had a hard time getting up two weeks in a row or maybe Oak Ridge isn't as good as Ooltewah.
  2. I can solve your puzzle. I watched the game and they did not cover him. The way they kept him from destroying them was to KEEP THE BALL. The McMinn offense stopped him better than the defense did. I don't know the stats but I'll bet they held the ball almost 36 of the 48 minutes. Tee caught about 10 passes for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns (another TD pass to Tee was called back). Puzzle solved
  3. You three guys need to travel to Middle TN on Friday nights and support Independence. If you really knew Blade, you knew that he disliked most things about OR and he just never wanted to be here. He felt like those who hired him sold him a false impression of the talent level here. He wanted out bad. So you three want him back---he isn't coming back so go join him. Do you think the defense the last three years has been soft? This year's defense isn't up to par for sure but you guys need to jump ship and head west. Go support a guy who doesn't like OR, was 35-15 while he was here, as opposed to a guy who is 36-8 the second time around and 155-32 overall at OR. I know you'll all three say what you can to demean the current staff and team so I'll stop with this post---but I sure hope the three of you head west.
  4. I worry that you are correct about our lines and I'm not sure what we can do about it. I still think we can go deep in the playoffs, if not all the way, because I don't think there is a dominant team on this side of the state.
  5. That's pretty bold Nole! My concern is that we've played three bad teams in a row and I wonder how we'll react to playing a good team. I'll take your score immediately, I just hope it's right. Their ball control worries me because I don't think our defense is good, we are only average. On the other hand, if they are real good up front on both sides of the ball, then we may have some problems. I'm excited about playing a real team for a change.
  6. I actually think our defense is bad. I can't recall giving up so many points and so many yards and missing so many tackles. That being said, you better worry about your team and your powder puff joke of a schedule. Beat us in week 10 then run your mouth. Until then, beat Farragut if you can, and then focus on your powder puff joke of a schedule that your "wonder boy" coaches put together!
  7. This game concerns me for obvious reasons (we are 3-0 and #2 and they are 0-3). I fear that we will come out flat and I feel that the crowd will be even more lifeless than our team. If we get off to a slow start, this could a much closer game than anyone would expect. If we start strong, then we will be more comfortable with the outcome. I don't think AC is a bad team at all. I doubt their QB is the "best we've seen" but I know last year at AC their fans were really high on him and I think he was a sophomore then. ROLL WILDCATS ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I'm with you and I'm talking about both lines
  9. We were nothing like UT last night. This game is more UT vs Florida in recent years with Farragut being Florida. I'm happy with the win but I thought after we went up 10-0 that Farragut took over the game in the second quarter. They're good but for us to come out down in the third quarter 16-10 and kicking off, then totally taking over the game is good, real good. I find nothing about our win anything like the emotionless and pathetic effort from UT last night against Appalachain State!
  10. You're not the only person who comments on that. I heard more people around me last week and at Clinton comment on that but still some did tonight. How hard would it be to get a cardinal or gray shirt?
  11. That's why I made the linemen comment I did. We have "talent" but we need more linemen.
  12. Don't expect any state more titles until they get some linemen moving in. Two extremely talented athletes might make you real good but not state title material. OR is never short on "talent" but I see very few top notch linemen out there. I'm talking about top to bottom freshmen team to varsity. There are some good ones but nothing like the number of linemen they have at Maryville, Alcoa, D-B, Farragut, Ooltewah, Cleveland, etc. I worry about the Farragut linemen "schooling" our linemen tonight. They have in recent years for sure and until that changes, I predict no state titles for OR.
  13. Nothing much but I'm excited about our team and the game with Farragut.
  14. Hey SS, I know that you know Coach Gaddis pretty well. Have you talked to him lately?
  15. Why isn't the play back of the game on TV???????
