I did not know that but when my Bears played OR last season I kept thinking how glad I was that OR didnt really get him the ball much (not that it mattered on that particular night). I remember a wide open crossing route for a TD that was so open any kid would have scored. And then him as a corner and a kick returner. Offensively he did not appear to be much of the gameplan. I think I would force him the ball at least 15 times per game as a wide out to go along with the other things he can do. At least when it counts, otherwise staying vanilla all season only results in a snickers bar in a swimming pool come play off time.

I would wager that HV had a much better defense than west will see this week. I hope I am wrong but its likley going to be a few weeks before the Bears get it together. The Beras offense has potential now, but I think west will have better D than cleveland. Bears D still searching for best 11.

Honestly OR coaching is bad. If they just threw deep sideline balls to T from Trips and T back side 15 times per game I bet they would connect on about 40+ points per game. Seriously from the gun catch and throw my version of the OR cats would beat everbody w/o anything but a center qb and T. Leaving another 65 plays or so for the rest of the cats. Thank god they got that old school coach who has to run to win haha. OR should have been in cookeville last year and should be this year but I bet they fall short and T has about 2 touches in the game that sends them home. SMH!

That is the key to stopping big plays. Cleveland is going to be tough to beat this year. They have a very balanced O and are going to be a pick your poison team to defend. The D for the raiders has some holes but that O is capable of winning shoot outs. Cleveland will clean up the mistakes they had and can for sure win that region. SC missed on 3 TD passes vs the 1st team D that they will hit in other games so that was the biggest positive I take away. I knew the Bears would kept fighting but they were out talented tonight. When a freshman is covering a kid like Davis he is darn sure getting a fast track lesson about varsity football. Got to take it 1 game at a time and survive the non region gauntlet. When the Bears come out on the otherside in week 7 they will start winning I can just about promise that is how this season is going to play out. Week 10 could very well be for a region championship and a couple home playoff games. Thats all going to seem very far from tonight but when your young you have to have a short memory and just keep getting better each series and each week. My biggest concern is simply stopping big plays on D. The Bears are tough up front but slow at the next level. GoBears!!

Purple Rain in the forcast I think it will be foggy and slick after the half thus likley nuetralizing some of the blue raider speed. Home field is big for the Bears tonight & If they can get off to a fast start or get a few breaks we could have a ballgame. SC is a hard place to play after dark because of the fog and the jumbo TV. Ball security will be a factor I just hope its not the home team giving it away. The Bears will have to be in mid season form in 2 of the big 3 areas to win this game and I hope the defense & kicking game can keep us in it tonight. I dont think they can win any type of shoot out the Bears have got to hold the score down around 28 or less. Offense has 4 sophs starting including QB with 3 jr 4 sr. The D only has 1 soph with 5 jr 5 sr. Usually the teams that win in the big boy divisions are doing so with older starting lineups. Thats why I just cant put my finger on this team too many new faces. How many 2 way guys does Cleveland play? The Bears have only a few DB/WR that rotate in. GoBears!!
