  1. Glad to see the Calvert showed up. Thanks for letting him defend his self.. I don’t care where he went to school or who he supports...sure your right I shouldn’t assume. But the point was you can’t complain about Baylor doing it when they aren’t the only ones. CBHS plucked the Bowers brothers from Cleveland. And while neither was in D1 long enough to win a title..Aiden never was..that’s 2 huge additions. 2 additions that without, they don’t beat Ryan, and don’t come close to having a shot at beating Baylor. And if we are honest, even though they have “D1 state titles”, I probably wouldn’t take Bates or Horst P4P over Garrett. So that’s a HUGE transfer that has made them a lot better
  2. Lol. I agree with your statement..but assuming your a CBHS fan I must say you don’t have much room to talk, considering they do it too. It’s not fair for anyone but it is what it is.
  3. I completely agree on Ryan! If they had been on the Bros side I think I’d take them but I don’t know if anyone in the state beats a 100% healthy Baylor. It will be fun for sure!
  4. Glad to see someone joining the conversation instead of talking about bracket placement! Is it weird that I think Bradley being 3rd would be an upset? It sure sounds weird! But they seem to be on a down year. We shall see though! I know you will agree with me when I say I really hope R6 and R7 make some serious noise! Really excited to see how Centennial matches up with the “top teams”

  6. I saw them against Soddy. And while I know that’s not a great measuring stick this year, they looked great. They beat Maryville, beat Grissom, did well to hang with Bob Jones. Won Greeneville by half a point over Greeneville. Top 10 at Bradley. They are tough. I think a Hixon/Greeneville final would be a war
  7. A little boldness. Enjoy! Champ. 10. Brackets aren’t out yet, but when they are released this is where I’ll drop my full bracket predictions. however we do have all 16 qualifiers so for now, I’ll settle for power ranking the 16 teams! 1. Cleveland 2. Wilson Central 3. Arlington 4. Blackman 5. Centennial 6. Bradley 7. Science Hill 8. Indy 9. Beech 10. Heritage 11. Maryville 12. Tennessee 13. Halls 14. Houston 15. Tullahoma 16. Sevier Co Don’t know much about Sevier or Tullahoma. I feel pretty good about the top 8. 9-13 I think could go any which way. 14-16 I haven’t seen much of but don’t see them hanging with the others.
  11. Houston beats Collierville. Arlington and Houston advance from R8
  12. I figured just as much. Very strange that it got released that way.
  13. If this is legit, the bottom half is definitely more competitive. Centennial has to be pleased with it and Cleveland will probably ease their way to the final. Central and Arlington should be fun. With this draw I see a Cleveland/Centennial and Wilson Central/Arlington semifinals.
  14. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like this released ahead of time. But if this is the draw, looks like a very winnable road to the semi’s for Centennial
  15. Centennial beats Indy 33-28 to win Region 7. R1- Science Hill, Tennessee High R2- Halls, Sevier Co R3- Heritage, Maryville R4- Cleveland, Bradley R5- Blackman, Tullahoma R6- Wilson Central, Beech R7- Centennial, Indy R8- Watch out for Centennial. Pelkey has this team hot at the right time and those kids are on a mission. Right now id say my favorites to podium are (in no particular order) Cleveland Arlington Wilson Central Centennial Blackman
  16. As far as I can tell this is who has advanced. Fill in where needed please. R1- Science Hill, Tennessee High R2- R3- Heritage, Maryville R4- Cleveland, Bradley R5- Blackman, Tullahoma R6- R7- R8-
  17. Looks like R1 will be Science Hill and Tennessee High. THS took out Dobyns-Bennett
  18. Looks like everyone except for 8 are tonight. So we will know 15 of 16 teams tonight, barring a shocker at Arlington. What’s everyone’s thoughts on who will be advancing?
  19. Lol. Unbelievable. There should be some sort of sanction against them. There has to be some sort of punishment to ensure crap like this doesn’t happen.
  20. 100 times out of 100. Against ANY team in the country. Every...single...time
  21. If any of you HONESTLY believe that science hill did the right thing by not letting the kids they had wrestle, simply to “not get embarrassed” then you are making as much a mockery of our sport as SH is. How can you honestly say that jv kids shouldn’t wrestle cause they’re “just bait”. You can’t preach how much Tennessee wrestling needs to improve and how far off we are on a national level, and then say it’s ok to NOT give jv kids mat time. How are we gonna get better if we aren’t letting inexperienced kids have mat time? How are THEY gonna get better without mat time???? Y’all are acting like DB is some powerhouse that would just mangle them. Since when is DB an elite program you should be afraid of? I don’t care if it’s Baylor, Cleveland, CBHS... I don’t even care if it’s Blair or Seminary or Bergen..if you show up and you have kids who are healthy enough to wrestle..I don’t care how experienced they are.. it’s extremely disrespectful to not let them go get the mat time. It’s disrespectful to the kids cause you’re basically saying “sorry you’re not good enough to step in for one match”. It’s disrespectful to the other team who showed up and get this...ALSO wants and needs mat time. And it’s so disrespectful to the parents and fans who showed up to watch. They paid to watch the dual and then this happens. If I was a parent of one of the SH kids that was healthy and needed mat time, and my kid didn’t get to wrestle because they weren’t “experienced” enough, or because of a coaches grudge...I would be FUMING. And I’m already pretty upset at the situation. I cannot imagine how those kids and all the parents must feel.
  22. Once again, false. Trae never got near fall. The score was 4-2 at the time of the pin. If Ivey had fought off is back there would have been near fall but he didn’t, so there wasn’t. Nobody said ANYTHING about trae getting lucky. Please show me where anyone is calling it lucky. Saying he caught him doesn’t mean it’s luck. It means he caught him.. and that’s 100% true. if you watched the same match I did, Trae did not outclass him. He wasn’t on another level, he didn’t dominate or win with ease, he was evenly matched. But you continue to talk like he just owned Ivey and that’s nowhere near true. These 2 will meet again. Unless someone like Calvin pulls an upset, these 2 will meet again. And it’s gonna be good.
  23. This is false. It was 2-2, trae got the reversal and made it 4-2 and then caught him and pinned him at 4-2. Ivey got the first takedown. He’s legit and the only threat to trae. I’m not taking anything away from trae but Ivey did get caught. That doesn’t make it any less of a W. But Trae didn’t take it to him or win with ease. He was evenly matched and ended up getting the pin. We will see what happens next time around.
