  1. Very sorry to hear that I had no idea
  2. Ivy dec Dalrymple 3-2. Dalrymple scored a takedown with under 5 seconds left in the first, Ivy then takes bottom in the 3rd, gets an escape and wins it with a takedown with 2 seconds on the clock. Heck of a finish. Ivy is legit
  3. Good question. I feel like if a call is made on the mat then that’s what it should be. But I have also seen them change the call after. If a call was never made and injury time was given, technically a call still needs to be made and would be at the refs discretion. I’d say @reftn would probably know more.
  4. If a wrestler is injured with an illegal move and cannot continue, they win. If the cause is not an illegal move, then the other kid wins.
  5. Looks like 120 will be fun. Can’t wait to see Dalrymple vs Ivey
  6. I’m confused. Why is Herron listed but no other beech guys?
  7. Congratulations to Brayden! Up and coming program with a bright future. Looking forward to watching him compete at the next level!
  8. 13-7 final. Bucs had a shot at the end but came up short
  9. 13-7 Pats at halftime. Lots of rain, lots of running the ball. 17 carries 90 yards for HC 19 carries 83 yards for Beech HC 2/2 through the air, no pass attempts for the Bucs. HC gets the ball to start the 2nd half. Should be a good finish!
  10. My point was, your basing it off of a Witt win 9 months ago.. when Isbell beat Borders less than 3 months before that. The proximity between those 2 matches is my point. I doubt much changed in those 3 months. And I doubt Witt majors or even beats Borders. Like WG said, it’s a round robin kind of thing. Styles make matches. Just cause Guy A beats B and C beats A, doesn’t mean C beats B. They are all very even.
  11. I think Bundy or Perry would both be good fits.
  12. yes, he majored Borders less than 3 months before Borders won a state title.
  13. I’d say it helps Beech. Whether it’s enough to get them to the finals is a different story. But they have to like their chances a little more if it’s wet
  14. If you think that makes Witt automatically worthy then you should rethink your logic. Yes Witt beat Isbell, but Isbell also has a major decision over 113 lb champ Hunter Borders. Isbell has also wrestled really well in the off season and had improved a lot, with some big results. I’m not saying Witt wouldn’t be 1 at 132 and I’m not even saying he may not beat Isbell again, but basing this off of a 12-8 win, 9 months ago..seems a little over the top. If you go back through my posts, I’ve said it a million times....styles make matches. Maybe Witt matches up well with Isbell. But based on body of work, Isbell gets the nod imo. But that’s all it is... my opinion. And you’re welcome to yours! No matter what though, it doesn’t mater what weight these 2 are at, they will both be contending for a state title without a doubt.
  15. Both Horst and 106 state champion Trey Bates transferred to Baylor
  16. If you think Beech won’t be able to run the ball you’re crazy. Maybe not run all over HC but they will run the ball. And they will get yards. HC won’t be able to stop it all night. And the Beech defense is playing like a brick wall right now. This will be a defensive battle. Henry County will rightfully be the favorite. But this Bucs team is young and hungry and will to fight to the last whistle. The heart and determination they have showed this far makes it hard for me to pick against them. I’ll take Beech to get revenge 2 weeks in a row. 17-14
  17. What a game! Burros lead 19-6 and Beech completes the comeback! 20-19 final. Beech will travel to Henry County for the semifinals. Lots of heart shown by the Bucs. You can never count Crabtree and his boys out when it comes to playoff time
  18. Something we can agree on! Gtown and Haven both roll no matter who is opposite them. That game might as well be a semi final. No disrespect to Bwood or Rwood, both solid teams...just not quite there yet.
  19. Where did anything say credible..? You just love to talk smack to people. I guess you have to get off somehow with no rings
  20. Lol. Read the bracket wrong. Sorry for the punishable by death mistake
  21. A rematch from week 7, a 20-7 Hillsboro win. But the Bucs have come a long way and are hitting on all cylinders right now. Hillsboro will be every bit as dangerous as before but Crabtree will have his boys ready for a fight. Should be a good one! who wins and why? ill take the surging young Bucs 24-20
  22. The next stop on the “earn respect” tour for Mt. Juliet goes through possibly the best team in the state of Tennessee, Oakland. Although I have heard this game will be played at MJ..which could be a big deal for the Bears. Mt. Juliet showing they belong by blasting Blackman...now we find out how good they really are. Winner gets the Maryville/Farragut winner in the semis. who wins and why? ill take Oakland... 27-21
  23. Well done Mt. Juliet. Respect is earned not given. Tonight they earned some.
  24. Oakland wins 28-0. Looks all but certain the Pats will travel to Mt. Juliet next Friday
