  1. I see why you said you don't post much on the message boards as your comments are devoid of meaningful content, neither praise nor sarcasm, just plain vanilla. Please go back to being a spectator. You harsh my vibe.
  2. I agree that UC will be in Cookeville........however I DISAGREE with your assessment of NCS. The only game we haven't put it in neutral in the 3rd Quarter was Jo Byrns and that was due to playing in a torrential rain the entire game. NCS on a dry field can hang with UC, GUARANTEED big boy! AND this could be the outcome.
  3. I don't think Ma xpreps is fully updated yet. C alpreps seems to have a more accurate picture of reality - http://unapproved website.com/2013/ratings/Tennessee_division.htm#1A
  4. The Contender (Union City) - 42 The Pretender (Humboldt) - 21
  5. Congratulations to WC. WC players gave 110% every play.
  6. The computer says otherwise: neutral field [2013] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 41, [2013] Grace Christian (Knoxville, TN) 31 Maybe after winning the 1A gold ball this year, we'll move up to 2A as a show of mercy to the other 1A teams.
  7. Grace Correctional Academy - Some Midway fans SOR (South of the River) told me it's a hardware-secured, residential facility in East TN that provides treatment programs for delinquent male youth ages 13 to 18. They recruit from the greater Knoxville juvenile detention centers.
  8. Well I'll be in Waynesboro Friday night with an NCS shirt on. So miss your Collinwood game and come join the fun!
  9. Well if I was serious you would have a point. I'm just rattling some cages though . I know those computer generated projections aren't that accurate when two comparable teams are involved. There's at least 6 teams in 1A that could hoist the gold ball depending on how well they execute. In all seriousness, NCS was ranked 4th in A/P this week and that's probably about right. Every team from here forward has to improve each week in practice in order to survive.
  10. I was just mocking SOME who have accused NCS of BS and stated we should be in a different division. But you have to admit Humboldt was licking their chops when they got moved down. I also didn't realize they beat up on Jo Byrns the last two years. I'm a little worried now! Seriously.
  11. Gee, I failed to realize you're supposed to factor in games from PRIOR years when evaluating the CURRENT year's schedule difficulty. You and the Ambassador love citing past accomplishments as evidence of your current team's skill level. "That dog won't hunt". I didn't realize Humboldt moved down from 2A to 1A this year. That's fishy. Being so close to Jackson it's hard to believe your population decreased. Looks like either an act of omission or co-mission. Humboldt has a population of 8,452 and moves down to 1A and a comparable town Rockwood has 5,200 and remains in 2A? There needs to be an investigation. Somebody is cooking the registration books.
  12. I wish high speed internet would arrive in Waynesboro someday. Would be nice if they could broadcast the Buttercup Bowl on the internet this Friday so I didn't have to drive two hours to watch WC & Columbia Academy. That's about the only decent game around. Humboldt playing some girls prep school as usual.
  13. Yes Wildcat, back in 2010, NCS's QB had the worst game of his career, threw 5 INT's, and we lost 49-28. But this is 2013 and I GUARANTEE you that should WC have the misfortune of traveling the 100 miles up to Nashville to take on the 2013 Eagles in a playoff game, NCS will roll WC out like wholesale carpet. Translation for the younger folks...NCS will whoop WC like Chris Brown would beat Rihanna. Are we clear?
  14. A/P Poll - 10/7/2013 http://columbiadailyherald.com/sections/sports/preps/ap-prep-football-polls-oct-7.html Class 1A Record Pts Prv 1. Humboldt (15) 6-0 184 1 2. 15. Of course for almost 40 years it wasn't an issue for you as long as NCS was losing from 1971-2009. Four years of winning football and a trip to the semi's last year and now it's a problem. Whine all you want, NCS is in 1A for the next 3 years, so deal with Mr. Whiner
  16. I'll apologize in advance for when you get knocked out of the playoffs early by a 13a team. I'm sorry. See ya soon Well it is apparent that you have never played much football much less had the pleasure of making it to the big show at the end of the year. You can take those computer models and play with them till the cows come home. Playoff time so many things can happen. Some teams wont be mentally prepared, sickness to several players, injuries, and lots of these games might come down to a field goal. Thanks for sharing that it truly shows your football experience. Rock on Computer Football Guru! _______________________________________________________________________________________ This is why District 13A is so great! I love the passionate fan base. Obviously I'm just rattling you all's cages with this stuff. I do think Humboldt is overrated, but the rest of D13 is tough as nails. Nobody, including NCS wants to make a trip over there! NCS is definitely a top 5 team but come playoff time, there are 6 or 7 teams which could win it all.
  17. Good question. I did a little research and found this and more. A magnet school with 1,200 students and no academic qualifications other than a desire to go there. A football coach's dream. They are going to be a force to be reckoned with. Their coach is in his second year there and has turned the program around. They were a losing school prior to his ascension to head coach. Almost like a private school (can draw from other schools within Davidson County) without the tuition and academic standards! About Coach Brian Waite - http://www.examiner.com/article/fulfilling-a-dream-waite-named-east-literature-head-football-coach http://www.eastnashvillemagnet.mnps.org/Page4038.aspx East Nashville Magnet School is a thematic magnet school located in the heart of historic East Nashville. There are no entrance qualifications for our school. Students just have to express a desire to participate in this Paideia-based, college preparatory program by submitting an application for the Fall selection process. Our school reopened as East Literature Magnet School in the fall of 1993 as a school-within- a-school on the campus of East Middle School. The magnet school now fills the entire campus of the historic East Nashville High School and East Nashville Junior High School. In September 2005, we dedicated our new unified campus and celebrated the completion of the renovations of our buildings. In the summer of 2012, our school changed its name to East Nashville Magnet School to honor our history while highlighting our magnet status. We are the only public school program serving grade five through twelve in Davidson County. With both a middle school building and a high school building, we are able to successfully address the unique needs of both programs. Our total enrollment exceeds 1200 students.
  18. I'll be happy until 10/25 when we take on undefeated East Nashville (#5 - 3A). That is going to be tough. Probably will humble everyone before the playoffs which is a good thing.
  19. Thanks to the Rockwood Tigers for knocking off Greenback Friday. That allowed Nashville Christian to move to it's first ever #1 ranking on M axpreps, C alpreps, & Sonymoorepowerratings.com in TN 1A Football. It would be awesome to have the Tigers playing for a 2A Title and NCS playing for a 1A Title come December in Cookeville! 1. Nashville Christian 2. Union City 3. Greenback... 4. Dresden 5 Humboldt 6 South Pittsburg http://www.unapproved website.com/rankings/football/1/division/tn/SxIZYPxL2kqlUcYCJqWUSw/division-1a.htm http://unapproved website.com/2013/ratings/Tennessee_division.htm http://sonnymoorepowerratings.com/h-s-foot.htm#classes
  20. Nashville Christian versus District 13A PROJECT A MATCHUP neutral field [2013] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 31, [2013] Union City (TN) 24 [2013] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 28, [2013] McKenzie (TN) 22 [2013] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 28, [2013] Humboldt (TN) 20 [2013] Nashville Christian (Nashville, TN) 28, [2013] Dresden (TN) 26 Sorry for the bad news fellas. You're playing for Second Place ....It's over!
  21. District 13 - Congratulations on being voted the most overrated district in TSSAA! Well deserved
  22. The one thing that continues to concern me is the penalties. The number of TDs we've had called back this year is staggering and last night was pretty bad again (8 penalties for 70 yards). I bet NCS has had close to 10 TD's called back due to penalties. That's excluding at least 100 plus yards of rushing against Jo Byrns negated by the home grown officiating in the infamous 3rd Quarter. Just absolutely hate it for freshman Mickey Martin whose had a 50 plus yard INT return and a 64 yard punt return negated. I love #9's intensity. Although he's gotten a few flags he brings it every play! r.
