  1. BIGPURPLEMACHINE , Thanks, too many screens open!
  2. Good thing about the playoffs, a Carter County crew nor a Greene County crew will be officiating crew will be there, Go Devils!!

  4. The Devils will score at will, Betsy will score but will not match the Devils point production , therefore a Devils win is highly probable. Same issue that AC has , not met anybody of Greeneville's caliber all year. Agreed Witten is a good coach, but Greeneville's talent on both sides of the ball is just too much to try to overcome. Greene Devils by what ever the clock allows!
  5. Cade Ballard is as good as advertised, Martin plays in a weak region without the needed tools to surpass Cade for the Mr Football award. Cade already has two wins over 6A schools that are normally better than their records this year. Lots of football yet to be played, but none the less, Cade Ballard should without a doubt win again hands down this year. With his command of a great football team, he has mastered the QB position,. and continues to impose his will on lesser talent. Betsy and the Toppers have nothing to counter the Devil attack, and no real way to score what will be needed to challenge the Devils. The State Championship awaits.
  6. Going to be lots of tears shed over points this season, still crying in Kingsport. But we all know it has to be this way sometimes if you are on the Eastern side of the state. Good teams get no respect otherwise. The Devils will mercy rule a few more I am sure, just hope its the right ones. DB is way down after seeing what happened the other night, Oak Ridge will do the same with them or worse.
  7. Would like to see the 2s in the 2nd half tonight, BVD who do you see the Devils getting 1st round?
  8. Coach Carter definitely brought his brash arrogance with him from Colonial Heights when he made the move. But to call out Maryville and GQ with silly comments is no way to start a healthy rivalry with the number 1 team is the state. Gonna be rough sledding for the Hill for a while to come. The road goes through Blount Co. to Cookvegas, and I don’t see that changing anytime soon! I have lived in JC for 20+ years, and have tried my darnedest to warm up to this school, but they won’t let it happen…… Go Rebels!!!
  9. Take I-81N exit 57A to I-26 toward Johnson City and Ashville, you will travel 11 miles to exit 20, the N. Roan St. exit off 26, turn right on N.Roan St proceed approx. 1 mile past the mall to the top of the hill where you will turn right onto Liberty Bell Blvd. proceed approx.1/4 mile as you approach the stadium, the closest parking lot to the Visitors seating will be on your left, on Cotty Jones Ln. or you may also proceed around the stadium to the Freedom Hall parking area. Good Luck and safe travels to all the Rebel fans!
  10. Stick a fork in the Hilltoppers, they are quiet toasty done! I wish they could play every year, OH YEAH! They do now!!! Welcome to Big Boy Football!
  11. I’ll start by saying, Science Hill will score a few, but they will not stop the Red Rebels from scoring at will! Their defense is very suspect, and can’t or haven’t been able to really even slow down their opponents offense. Maryville has more than one player to key on, so that’s the end of that. I was glad to hear that #1 will play Friday, as reported on the Science Hill coaching show on radio last night. Also glad that SH gets to make the trip to Blount Co, so that they can reflect on their season on the long drive back, and get to see what a state powerhouse really looks like, up close and personal. The difference in this game is preparation and coaching, not to mention Maryville’s size and superiority at the skill positions. McGue doesn’t scramble by choice, he does out of necessity, and yes he extends plays very well, and is quick and elusive, but it’s because he has to. Without him SH is very average, with him they are respectable and hard to prepare for. He also has made the SH coaching staff look better than they should. As much as I would love to drive down and witness what is about to take place, I will catch it on the radio, and save my gas for the drive down to UT Saturday. Best of luck Rebels, from your fans in Johnson City!!!!
  12. 910am WJCW carries the Toppers. I don’t see the beat down happening that they experienced last year at the hands of the Eagles, but this one could get ugly if they don’t get out of the gate the way they have in previous games earlier this year. BA will be looking to right the ship this week, but won’t use their injuries as an excuse to not play at their full potential. The Toppers may be the best 6A team this side of Blount County, but that is yet to be determined as well, there’s a 50/50 chance that they are. That being said, past years and streaks don’t mean crap, it still all comes down to when and what round they meet Maryville, and if they get there at all. The result is the same, no gold ball comes back to JC. It’s a pipe dream, and it’s still not the caliber of football played across the rest of the state, just sayin ….. BA 35 – SH 20
  13. They played Sullivan South, and they took the birds deep into the 4th before throwing up a couple of quick cosmetic scores after the game was decided. And I have a great crow recipe, I call it (Broadway Broil), hit me up Saturday morning before you head out to basketball practice. Devils - 49, Yard Birds - 21
  14. Wait a dam* minute, we have a budget? Since when? New s too ME!
  15. Saw a truck in Johnson City yesterday with Knox Co. plates, looked lost. Solid conspirancy theory! LOL!
