  1. I'm not sure either. I do know they're is a set of tiebreakers for such occurrences. Seems like last year there was some concern about Covid cancellations having a bearing on tie breakers. Hopefully none of that matters. We're planning to just beat everyone in the region so we dont have to revert to tie breakers.
  2. I can't speak for other aforementioned 2a teams but I can speak on Westview. They are very good. In every phase of the game. Spectacular on offense even. Also well disciplined with a special teams kicking field goals as fast as Simpson throws TDs. They pile up points QUICKLY. It's going to be a tall order to defeat them IMO. Not saying it's impossible though. A very powerful running game and a great defense could pose them problems. Does anyone in 2a got that?
  3. Mine too. Can you imagine the atmosphere in Fairview when Waverly comes to town and the region is at stake? Even if it's for seeding or a home field playoff game. Same with White House. We don't have a history yet but they have a gigantic and proud fanbase. I look forward to many great Friday nights ahead.
  4. Looking forward to the game. Thanks for the info. We have been around 60/40 run/pass thus far in the season. I would characterize us as fairly big and strong upfront. I wish we were a little speedier but the fellas are sure tacklers. I've been very pleased at the number of tackles our DEs and DTs have been accumulating. Im not sure how we'll compare to Franklin-Simpson, KY though as I'm not familiar with them. I feel like we're pretty evenly matched on the athlete front and it will be won or lost in the trenches.
  5. Mine too lol. But seriously. We still have work to do but I think we'll give you guys all you want.
  6. We have won this region 4 of the last 5 years. We operate out of the shotgun in a spread offense mostly. Defense is listed as a 3-4 but we mix up defensive looks quite a bit. There's too many numbers to call out just a couple. We don't have the one Mr. Football type guy like we've had a few times recently. The offense is a blend of a half dozen ball carriers and pass catchers with big linemen. Our starting QB has been out for the season but may return soon. The backup is a receiver who has done a fine job. He will burn you with his feet pretty bad and is starting to get going with his arm. I think he's threw for about 500 yards in the last 2 games. Tell us about Heritage this year. We played a home and away 3 or 4 years ago. You guys were very young then.
  7. Sonny Moore favors Fairview by 14 prior to last nights data. The Jackets are liable to give that difference up in special teams kickoff coverage and offensive turnovers unless something changes. This will be a 4 quarter game that could go either way.

Yes. Just found out he's not been cleared to play... #23 sophomore ILB
  9. I don't know whether to feel sorry for Lewis County or envy them. No one else on this website has a 24/7 dedicated hater like they do. At this point LC probably wears it like a badge of honor.

I'll be at Ensworth/MUS tonight and will try to update the score if anyone is interested. I have a family member playing for the Tigers.
  11. Bad memories bruh... lol. But seriously Stratford beat both #1 seeds Pearl Cohn and Fairview at home in their playoff run. And like you say went to overtime with an awesome Covington team at Covington. James Moore was a bad man. Several others too. Suffice it to say when East, Stratford, PC etc. get off the bus you'll say WTH lol
  12. Also It just occurred to me that Milan and SG are both in 4a this year. Covington and Dyersburg will be the dudes in west TN 7-3a. Really looking forward to seeing that game. I hear Dyersburg is very good and Covington has proven to be a reliable top 25 statewide team year in and year out.
  13. That's true although it's a different level of competition. You can write them off if you want. I'll wait until around Halloween to make my prediction how good they are lol.
  14. East Nashville and Stratford will both be tough outs. The jury is still out on them as usual but they're playing teams like FRA, Riverdale, Independence, Davidson Academy, etc. Come November they'll be rolling. I'd love to see 6-3a pull through round 3 for once though. But it won't be as easy as looks right now I promise.
  15. Was a dandy game. Waverly really got alot of momentum going toward the end. Coach made a mistake on each of the last 2 PAT decisions IMO. The dropped passes were back breakers too. Congrats to both squads on a hard fought battle. It was fun to watch.
  16. Waverly looks stout against the run. WH QB has been able to find a couple seams. If I were Waverly I'd spy him continously in the 2nd half with my best linebacker and dare him to throw.
  17. Very nice. Glad to see the Reb's being so proactive.
  18. Ridiculous comment. I'm a City fan too but that's just preposterous.
  19. Wait until Page plays 3a Giles County soon.
  20. I'm pretty sure you guys are the only previous state champs in the region. Obviously it's been a good while back but still a great and honorable achievement. I'm a Fairview guy btw
  21. Waverly/White House is intriguing. I cant really pick a clear winner on film but I'm a Tiger Fan when we aren't playing each other so I'll pick Waverly in a close one. The environmental effect could be real so in that case momentum could carry either team over the top. Or... it could be like a scrimmage given that the stadium will be at less than 1/10th capacity. Who knows? I don't. White House has a decorated history though. More so than my beloved alma mater or Waverly. I have much respect for history. So based on their history of being State Champions, I'll consider my team and Waverly as the underdog in our upcoming contests.
  22. I suspect you could be right. We couldn't run the ball on them. If we could have it would have been a much closer game. When they score so regularly you have to match it if you cant stop it. We couldn't do either last night. Lessons learned.
  23. No doubt. Just glad we're playing quality teams. We'll be a tough out by seasons end. Hopefully we can stay healthy and possibly add a few guys who haven't been able to play this year yet due to injury.
