I can’t imagine Bearden having an problems in this one, especially if they come and play like they did against Cleveland. Too much talent for the Bulldogs.

Great win for The Ads Friday night. Always great to get a win against Oak Ridge. I remember a tike not too long ago where those were hard to come by. In the 80s we came so close so many times, but couldn’t get it done. Then there was 15 or so year gap from the mid 90s to around 2010 where the Ads couldn't beat the Wildcats. I sat on the OR side Friday night and the opening kickoff seemed to set the tone for the game, on the field and in the stands. There was no energy in the stadium from the OR fans. That seemed to be replicated in the field by the Wildcats who seemed very flat too. I was shocks by the tempo of the OR offense late in the 3rd Quarter and in the 4th. There never seemed to be any sense of urgency. I know OR was on a 4 game win streak coming into this game, but looking at their schedule, they were not quality wins. I would think the OR faithful won't put up with this for long and the seat may start getting a little warm.

If Farragut can play like they did in the first half against Oak Ridge, they should be able to win. Just looking at scores, Jeff County seems similar to Oak Ridge in the fact that the teams they have beaten aren't any good.

I knew Russ when we was a Farragut and seemed to do a good job calling plays. His personality seemed a little abrasive, so not sure how well he would be received in the community or as the head coach by players, but that has been a few years since we was here, so maybe he has changed. Anyone know a timeline on this hire?

Very well said. Adapt or die and he’s adapted while others have died. Prime example is the Fulton program, high school all the way down. Josh seems to have been the one who was able to get the players there. Their high program and youth program has dropped like an anchor since his departure.

Sounds like you applied for the job and didn’t get it. You seem to have intimate knowledge about this guy and what is role is going to be, so you must be on the inside when an announcement hasn’t been made yet. Why does a coach have to be in the building to hold a kid accountable? One would think that would be done by punishment after school at practice or workouts. Everyone keeps talking about how Bearden doesn’t accept transfers, but now it’s gonna be like a college program where whoever wants to come can come and you will be recruited over. If you really think that, it shows how our is touch you, or perhaps how bitter you are. So are you saying that every kid that started for Bearden the last few years is zoned for Bearden? I know for a fact that is not true The guy hasn’t been announced as the head coach and you are already taking about vacated wins, gees dude. Also, when is the last time TSSAA has made a football team vacate wins? I have no clue if he went to college or not, but it seems like you are saying someone that didn’t go to college isn’t worthy of being a role model. That’s a really pathetic statement by you. Woah! If the last couple posts are true, kind of a shock hire. The guy I’ve been in contact with just said the other day that interviews were done and they were internally deliberately with the intention to name a coach by Friday. Sounds like they have met that deadline.
