Probably right. T$$AA not going to give up any money. I do like the breakdown though with 4 divisions . Right now you have 1100 student schools playing 2300+ student schools. At least with 4 classes your smallest school to largest school spread for each division is not so big. Either way there is always going to be some schools that are the smallest schools in their division.

From what I have seen you would have about 65 teams in each classification. Instead of 16 Districts you would likely have 8 regions. Based on a very quick review of enrollments from last time it would look roughly like this if you divide divisions equally: (disclaimer: based on old enrollment numbers from 2016) A 0 - 540 AA 541- 900 AAA 901 - 1346 AAAA 1347 and up I like the idea of 4 classes and eliminating districts. 8 regions is better in my opinion. Would eliminate 1 week of district tournament play (less T$$AA) but also would either allow an extra week of regular season to give more flexibility with scheduling or allow the post season to end a week earlier. Just one person's opinion though.

See where they are looking for a new coach. Historically a good job I would imagine. Thoughts?

It is my understanding that class realignments don't occur for another 2 years. Mid cycle classification changes only occur if the schools enrollment changes + or - 20%. At least that is what I was told. Was their change that big?

Given the number of teams that are not fielding teams in A and AA would TSSAA look to adjust the classifications after the first 2 year cycle? Schools in Class A and AA that are not fielding teams would have an effect on which teams end up being classified in AA or AAA as well since the breakpoint for each classification would change. Just curious if that would be revisited if these schools do not field teams next year as well.

I think Scott and South Doyle probably flip flop. Scott probably plays in District with Stone, Cumberland and the Anderson Co. Schools. South Doyle to Stone Memorial is a haul (well over an hour). South Doyle would have to drive past Fulton, Catholic, etc. just to get to all of the District 5 potential schools. I could even see them being in the Sevier County Schools District along with Cocke Co. Other than that, the travel doesn't look too bad at least for the east tn teams.

Agreed. I think the better option is to add together enrollments.

From what I was told yes, if the amendment is approved. You sign a co-op agreement you get multiplier. Doesn't matter if 1 student or 30

I actually think it makes sense. If we are setting classifications by how many students you have to pull from (enrollment) then the schools should either have to be added together or apply the multiplier if they co-op.

I am also hearing that a lot of the single A schools that are listed Co-Op. From what I have been told, there is an amendment that has been provided to TSSAA that schools that co-op in sports will have the 1.8 multiplier added to the enrollment of the larger school.

There should be but probably will not. Somebody at TSSAA needs to address it or there are going to have some tiny districts in single A. If some of these schools don't have teams or only have boys or girls and not both teams then in theory there may be a district with 3-4 teams.

Same goes for boys soccer. Many don't have boys teams. I know Tellico Plains and Greenback do not. Also what about teams that co-op. Do those schools not get their enrollments added together?

East still has Knox Catholic.. They should dominate this area given they can get kids from multiple counties. Unless they choose to move up to play AAA Soccer which is highly doubtful.

Looks like about 5-6 teams per district assuming they still do 16 districts especially in east part of state. Indian how do you think the districts will look?

They play Concord Christian School.... a first year team if am not mistaken

Based on records and margin of victory it should be Grace in A/AA.... sorry couldn't help myself. I think Chatt Christian and Greenville out of the east are the best as well. Maryville out of the east could make a run with a few others if they get hot but Houston is my pick.
