  1. Hey, its not like I didn't say Ringgold wasn't good. I wasn't at the game but the paper says the game was closer than 6-0. I'm pretty sure that Ringgold threw their Ace and Gordon Lee may of been at 3 or 4 in their rotation. Still both very good teams. NW Whitfield is another good team to watch.
  2. OK, the best Team in Chattanooga this year is McCallie. However, the best team in the Chattanooga area is little ole Gordon Lee. I guarantee you they are a powerhouse in any classification , pitching staff is crazy good and YOUNG. They have 3 to 5 D1 players on that team. While Ringgold is good as usual they don't have their normal pitching staff. As far as the Hamilton County schools, I've got to give that to East Hamilton, they have a lot of good players with Ooltewah not far behind. My opinion!!!
  3. I know one thing, It is unbelievable that Cleveland's QB doesn't have multiple D1 and FCS offers . I think he is better than several of the D1 QB's that have signed out of the area the last few years. I feel the same way about Mike Mike from Ooltewah. He should have multiple offers.
  4. I'm with Passive on this zoning topic. NO ONE CARES ABOUT FAIR WHEN IT COMES TO THEIR CHILDREN. Every great school has many kids from outside the zone for more things than just sports, Band and Academics, IB programs, etc. . And really who cares? I read an article on West High School having footballs players there zoned for other schools because of their IB program. Guess what, they played in Cookeville this year. They are a school that has it together and families get there at their expense. Good for them. You don't think Kids come for all over Knoxville for Maryville and Alcoa. Yes they do. I recently meet a guy that takes his son from Crossville to Alcoa! I bet you can even find students at Central zoned for some inter-city schools. When a school has it together, families will come.
  5. Maybe not on these boards because he played for a North Georgia School. I always heard he lived in Ooltewah but his mom worked for the Walker County School System which allowed him to play there. I noticed a lot of Tennessee Talent in the bowl games. In the National Championship game for FSU the starting safety number 13 a true freshmen is from Smyrna, TN and played a at BA. The QB from Pitt and a few more.
  6. After watching a lot of McCallie Football the last few years there are two transfers back into the public school system to watch out for. Both of these kids will be Juniors Jeffery Coleman-- at East Hamilton (Athlete-DB, WR) London Elrod -- at Ooltewah (QB) Both are excellent players
  7. This even has more of an effect in Chattanooga. Two DII teams (Baylor-McCallie). These guys pull the best player from each middle school almost every year. Plus, there are another 5 or 6 private schools fighting for good players. ND, SBA, Boyd, CCS, Grace.
  8. This looks like a good pre-season poll. You have to go with West and HC at the top since they played in the Championship Game. However, this person must know that Ooltewah is loaded with talent! Their upcoming JR class is legit!!! and the upcoming Senior class is good as well.
  9. Boy the Owls are a tough and well coached team. Its hard to beat the same team twice. I think the passing attack of EH gives them the edge. However nothing surprises me about the Owls. A few turnovers here and there swings the game either way.
  10. One thing is for sure. If BG played in TN they would not be like 35-0
