Fairview 41 WHH 7

Assuming he was a Fairview poster, but not knowing his identity, not sure. Fairview has basically 2 levels of fans, as I am sure most schools do. Hard core, homegrown, loyal been coming to cheer on the team on Fridays no matter what, and parents who are just engaged while their kids are there. A small level of those who are in between who come and go. But like you, I do wonder where he went and miss his contributions to these threads.

Thoughts on who wins week 5 games?

Not sure this will even be a game to put on the watch list in Region 6, but Cheatham and Fairview have a history of battles! I never make predictions, but Fairview JV will be playing the second half of this game.

Waverly the only winner from last night? The long Fairview road trip has me in brain fog today! Lol Fairview did have a great second half of football showing what this team can really do when they decide to play for team and not “me”! Thankful for the next 4 home games!

Fairview with a win over SC 40-7, but watching it felt more like a close game! How did everyone else do in the region?

I was not at the Fairview/CW game, but did "hear" Fairview did not play well, and they squeaked out the win. MCHS has been a great scrimmage for Fairview the last 2 years, but it is obvious they are a very talented team. Even though this game is at CW, which can be a tough environment to play in, MCHS wins this one easily.

If I have looked up scores correctly, is Fairview the only winner from the region in week 2? Missed my first game in I don’t know when due to work commitments. Having said that, I assume most teams like Fairview will have a region match up in week 3? Looking forward to the long ride to Stewart next week, it’s always a dog fight there!

I 100% agree with you on the heat! Thinking back to last year, we (Fairview) made many mistakes too - typical first game stuff having had graduated 22 kids from the previous season, mostly starters. We lost maybe 4 key players last year, but in positions that are tough to replace. I look for this to be a good game, and close like it was last year. I do love this match up, and glad it is the first game every year for Fairview. The hype in the county built up to it, and the schools is what TN high school football is about. Good luck and prayers for all players to come out healthy!

I can't imagine much has changed in a year for Camden. However, Camden is always a team that scares me because of the good games I have seen them play in the past (talking 10+ years ago!) - but Waverly comes away a big winner here. Too many key players on their team, and add the fact they get to have a home game for the first time since 2020 - they will be pumped. Running clock on this one.

Can you show a screen shot of a school so I can see the content? I know he got a late start and will not judge, I am trying to figure out if I want one, or wait until next year. I get a MF book every year - BUT - last year, my son's senior season! Never could find one!

Just wanted to get this topic started. I think this is a big game for Wilco, but not so much "state wide" interest game. Last year Fairview I think could have pulled this out, but being first game of the season, with not many returning starters, new QB (excuses could be many here! LOL) - it did not work out for them. Fairview returns many starters on both sides of the ball this year. In pre-season I do not think we have seen the potential of the team yet and I am excited to get the season started. Page - I do not know much about them. I believe the starting QB this year is the one who came in and took over last year against Fairview. from what I remember he was fast, could throw and run. I believe they also have a Tennessee commit lineman (not sure if he is D or O). Depending on where he lines up he could be up against #77 for Fairview, who is big and been making improvements at camps all summer. Looking forward to this match up, and excited that Fairview gets to have it back home this year! Their field was not ready last year due to turf install, so they had to go back to Page. This will be an exciting week for the school and community getting to host this game again, and I cannot wait until Friday! Wishing all the teams getting started this week and healthy season!

I think that QB for WH will be too much for Smith County defense. Much like you, it will be close, but I think WH will just be too fast at the end for some of those SC kids. Based on what I remember from WH and saw Friday night.

Obviously being a Fairview fan we got beat by both, so I’ve seen them play. Offensively the olines will match up even. Both teams oline were bigger than ours, but WH QB will be the difference. He will pick apart and do as he pleases with Smith County D. IMO. Pulling for WH, not cause SC put us out, but got to pull for our region now!
