  1. Being a Oakland homer I have to go with the Pats. Gonna watch some Houston games tomorrow. I know they're very good but not familiar enough yet to speak about them.
  2. @Bradleysports23 I was gonna roast you up good because you certainly earned it but I'm a old man and don't have the time or energy. I will say that I've enjoyed laughing at your over the top pontificating this year. I can't even get mad at you. It was cheap entertainment. Can I get the check please? Next
  3. Don't worry. As soon as I stop laughing I will have something fer you. You deserve it. But in all seriousness, tonight you saw the difference between a good 6A team and a elite 6A team. It weren't even close.
  4. Most anticipated in Tennessee history? No disrespect but I really don't think so from an Oakland point of view. For BC I could see how it would be the biggest matchup in their history. Oakland has faced a multitude of very talented teams just in the Creasy era. I would put some of those Maryville teams right up there. Some big private schools like you mentioned LA and CPA that same year. Both games went to the final play with Oakland making goal line stops as clock expired. Also several big out of state games with lots of talent on all sides. This is certainly very highly anticipated and could certainly go either way but the difference is that these Oakland seniors have been there for almost all these games. It may be BC's first rodeo but it isn't Oakland's. Regardless, it is the matchup we've all been waiting on this year. Hope it's a good clean game with no injuries and no officiating issues. Go Patriots!
  5. Yes I see now. Quit looking at the schedule results as soon as I saw the Panola score. Didn't realize Houston played two out of state games. I thought you had to have a subscription for Googles.
  6. What you talkin bout Willis? Got beat by Germantown and didn't play Tupelo. They lost to Panola....lol
  7. Great suggestion. We have one in the Boro. Any others?
  8. I see Houston taking this one in a close game. That's based on my current system for grading and looking at all aspects and possibilities. I call my system. "I gotta feeling!" It ain't 100%
  9. Yes, it seems he has a good kicker every single year. This Fri night I don't think they will be kicking away from this or that guy. Rogers will just be kicking deep and getting touchbacks every time. Basically no wind forecast for gametime so he will be good to go. I believe he had 7-8 touchbacks this past Fri against Riverdale. The young man is a serious weapon in the kicking game.
  10. Very odd that there are two kickers. Jacoby Stevens I remember well. He was a man among boys back then.
  11. First time I saw Haynesworth was last year in a JV game. Didn't know who he was or anything. He carried the ball one time and I was sitting up straight in my seat asking everyone around me who that kid was! Yup Aivery Haynesworth. He's a legit starter for pretty much any team in the state and even though he is considered our 3rd string, their isn't much difference between him and the two ahead of him. The young man runs hard. I hope we get to see more of him as well.
  12. Lol......it looks like the "who" may be on a timeout. Not around that I've seen today.
  13. Other than what I have "heard" here, no updates other than he's playing. Like I said, it came from here so take that for what it's worth.
  14. Thanks, I know there are many that I just can't recall right now and those are all names I remember well. Some tremendous athletes have passed through RuCo. Otey was/is a seriously good athlete. Remember Mitchell as well.
  15. Welp, nothing changes for me. BC has a very talented team with several D1 players. Something BC is not used to having it seems. Over the years during the Creasy era at Oakland and seeing every home game for the last 8 years up until this year, I have seen tons of these athlethes. Both on Oakland and the other RuCo teams. Last year Blackman had 3-4, Riverdale had a few this year and Oakland has had more than their share of them. I've watched Jacoby Stevens that went on to play and win a national championship with LSU and make it to the pros. Jordan James who is having a very good season at Oregon. Trey Knox that played at Arkansas and transferred to another big school. Can't remember which. Master Teague that played at Ohio State and countless others I can't recall right now that have played for Power 5 schools. Point is that this Oakland team is used to having and playing against these guys. They are experienced. They have been there before and knows what it takes. Trust me that the moment will not be too big for them when they face BC and their talented D1 guys. Should be a good game but I have to stick with the experience and our own D1 guys which Oakland has many now. Looking for a good game with Oakland coming out on top and a chance to make it four 6A titles in a row. Never been done.
  16. Wish I knew too. I wasn't online so I missed the action. Somebody crossed a line lol.
  17. I know according to one or two folks on here that the 72' Dolphins/Bradley Bears are unbeatable with Jim "Boo" Brown buuuuttt Oakland Brentwood West Page
  18. As much as I wanted to listen to the game, events beyond my control prevented it. Good googly moogly!! Didn't see this coming. Certainly glad for it though. What happened to Graham? He get hurt or something?
  19. 104.5 The Zone is also covering the game. There's a app and it's what I like to use. I'm in Austin, TX this weekend and will be tuning in.
  20. For your information knucklehead, I may live in RuCo but my kin not only plays for MC but they go back in MC to the early-mid 1800's. I'm a MC football and JD sippin fan.
  21. Based on what the pa guy said it was MC but I hope you were joking about an apology. Us RuCo folks ain't THAT sensitive! Well, maybe some of them are. But not me.
  22. Don't be draggin the RuCo folk in this. Man said it was MC selling bbq for the MC Blue Helmet Club. They were out of brisket before the game even started. Must be some good stuff. I was getting ready to jump up and get some then the PA guy announced the brisket problem. I just got teased. Dang.
  23. I'm pretty sure you didn't see him this past Friday night. I already knew how mobile and elusive he was (he's a glider) but was most impressed with his arm this past week. Young man can sling it when he wants/needs to.
