Watched MC completely dismantle Eagleville this past Fri in person. D.White is a fantastic athlete and would probably be a starter for most any team in the state in any classification. Not as QB for any team but definitely would be on the field somewhere. Great pure athlete. That being said. MC ain't a one trick pony. They have several really good skill players in my opinion and the bigs get it done in the trenches on both sides of the ball. This is a very good 1A team. I realize that Eagleville isn't Mckenzie but this also isn't the first time I've been to one of the MC games this year. If Mckenzie wants to get it done they better strap up and bring their absolute best game. I say MC takes it and runs away in the 2nd half.

My wife is from Moore county. She reeds reel good. Purty decent at ciphering numbers two. Now wheres that whippersnapper MC coach that hangs here lettin' us know whut we can and can't discuss.

Pick em game. Could go either way really. Leaning towards Riverdale getting the win again but certainly hope I'm wrong. Hopefully Creasy and other coaches have figured out a way to slow that very quick and short passing attack. Tough matchup for the corners to make plays out in space against some of those D1 players. Although the Riverdale qb has the arm and accuracy to go deep. I don't think that the qb will have the time with Oakland having a pretty good pass rush. Go Patriots

Is the scheduling about job security? Hard for qb club to get to mad when your winning 8-9 games and region champs on a semi regular basis.

Little secret. I love the Eagleville folk. My oldest boy that is 25 went to Central Magnet and played with the Eagleville team back then. Spent a lot of time out there and really like that community. Ya gotta make the ice cream! I'm bringing a hot thermos of coffeewith a little Lynchburg local flavor in it.

I hope you are correct. For me I have been cautiously optimistic with Oakland the entire season. The past several seasons they have been elite and basically unstoppable. I personally haven't had them with that "elite" status at all this year. They can certainly get it done and Creasy will have them well prepared for each and every game. They just have to go out and execute. C'mon Pats, lets make it 4 in a row. Has anyone in 6A ever done that? I would assume if anyone has it would be Maryville. As far as Mt. Juliet goes, I don't think this is the week that Oakland exits. Oakland by just about as much as they want in this one. Mt. Juliet as others have said has had a easy road with no real competition to be battle tested like many of the others still in the playoffs. For them it's been a case of "If you're the smartest person in the room then you are in the wrong room"

Try the tamales. I grew up in the Mississippi delta and theirs are as close to authentic delta tamales as you can get. We have a Champys here in the boro. Good food. Great fried chicken livers too

I usually will watch theirs but when I went to the site this past Friday I couldn't see a link to watch it. Did I simply overlook it? The kids that ran the graphics for that were usually sitting right beside me in the pressbox when I was working the games running the scoreboard and the 25/40 clock. Nice kids but almost none of them knew anything about football at all. They were all in the AV program at school. Even still they do a really good job. NFHS? Not so much.

Yup NFHS only during the playoffs until finals it seems. Some NFHS broadcast are better than others. Oakland's was horrible last year but Moore County has a great one. Never know what you're gonna get. Hopefully y'alls will be a good one. Good luck Murvil. Hope y'all get it done. With a little luck Oakland can make it there as well. Hey no problem. It has nothing to do with Wise. I just don't appreciate feeling like someone else is trying to tell me what I can and can't discuss. I'm a full grown man and don't generally take kindly to it. And seriously, that ice cream recipe is the bomb. Replace the banana with Smuckers strawberry jam and you have some of the best strawberry ice cream you ever tasted. I make it for all my Moore County family folk.

Here's my recipe for home made Banana Ice cream. 1 3/4 cups of heavy cream 1 1/4 cup whole milk 3/4 cup of sugar (sometimes I add a little extry) 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract 1 banana The secret to good ice cream is the proper banana. Ya know how your wife freezes them nanners for nanner bread when they turn brown? That is the exact same banana to use. lay on a plate and thaw for bout 30 minutes. Then put the banana in a blender but when you do, make sure to squeeze all the liquid drippings out of the peel. Pro tip: That is where the real flavor comes from. Then just make the ice cream as you always would in one of those homemade old school icecream makers with rock salt and ice. Although I do use the electric and not the truly old school crank model. I did my time on those when I was younger. Have a great one for strawberry as well if anyone wants it. Your welcome.
