  1. I get the jist that you think Alcoa wins the game but the rest is very confusing. What does this part mean? "because they’re a lot stronger in the deep inside of the ball and off inside the ball but I think that’s Kamiya good game"
  2. Without question, one of the best I've ever seen. Goal line stand by Oakland to win the game was incredible.
  3. Everybody knows. Creasy don't 'cruit. His resume needs no introduction or backslappin come on downs. Field of Dreams. "If you build it, they will come"
  4. 1. Kevin Creasy 2. Kevin Creasy 3. Kevin Creasy 4. Kevin Creasy 5. Kevin Creasy 6. Kevin Creasy 7. Kevin Creasy 8. Kevin Creasy 9. Kevin Creasy 10. Derek Hunt
  5. Lol.....Bearden.....paper tigers. Until you win something, you haven't won anything.Maryville was king of the mountain for a very long time. Now it's Oakland. Bearden.....
  6. Ligma definitely is out of consideration. You've tried this before tubdumper. Your mama know you're on the interwebs?
  7. I have a beef with Tygard. Not a personal one because I've never met him and I have never heard one negative thing about his morals or actions. I wish him nothing but the best personally and professionally. My beef is with his coaching style. It's not sustainable. I've never been a fan of coaches, employees, preachers or political folks that come in hard and fast with lots of commotion. Sure it brings the excitement and enthusiasm to a program and that's a good thing but that style can't last forever. Life and careers are marathons, not sprints. Go heavy all the time and you WILL burn out. Right now Cleveland and Tygard are still on their honeymoon. Can't get enough of each other. How about a year or two from now? How will he do without elite transfers? At Blackman he had a D1 QB, reciever and tight end all on the field at the same time. Hard not to score lots of points with those guys. They were exceptional athletes with almost no negatives. Flip side is that his defense was horrible. Is that the best he could coach them up? He didn't have the ability to manage his DC to get better results? My points are this. He hasn't done anything to warrant the salary yet. The money is wonderful for him and his family's financial security for certain so happy for him for that but until he wins a region championship or a gold ball, then his resume looks exactly as it does now. Second point is that I don't think his style will last in the long run. Hard and fast is fun and exciting but slow and steady wins the race. If in his shoes my primary focus would be hiring the best DC available.
  8. I can certainly understand why he left Blackman then. My question now is this. What has he done as a head coach to warrant the salary? No rings, not even a region championship. Sure he brings lots of excitement and a air raid up tempo offense but until he actually wins something then he hasn't won anything.
  9. False. TSSAA "punished" Oakland for Jordan James only. Someone in administration made a comment on twitter that they wished he would come play for Oakland and that was the rule breakage. I think Oakland may have been denied after practice snacks for the "violation". Which given the crime seems about right.
  10. Tygard had three good athletes. They graduated and he left. Cleveland can afford to pay him double? If true that's very sad for Blackman. Doubtful he doubled though. Uhhh....the game with Oakland. Woulda, coulda, shoulda. No prize for 3 or 4th or whatever blackman came in.
  11. Tygard ain't moving fur enough away. Oakland will still beat his brains in. It'll just be one game later. And that is ONLY if he can build a team to beat Murvil. Ol Mr Onsides kick. what a joke. Man is good at gettin' jobs but he ain't got much stick around in him apparently.
  12. I ain't around here much in the off season and this thread is why. Yall is discussin if the shoes and socks match and the like. Bunch of grown men talking about uniforms. UNIFORMS!! Anyway, sounds like the young man from DCA will be a helpful addition to the Oakland stable of running backs. He will have to compete for playing time. No shortage of very good rb's at Oakland
  13. I think this is an excellent assesment of the situation. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if all this happened.
  14. What does the IB program have to do with their football success? I don't see the correlation.
  15. Sorry but plenty of 1A teams in the mid-state all the way up to 6A
  16. Oakland will very likely NOT catch up. My assumption would be that Creasy will be recieving some very attractive offers in the future that will be impossible to ignore. If he stayed at Oakland for the next 12-15 years he very well could get it done. He has shown himself to be an elite coach with a great situation and location for serious talent. Maryville was fortunate to have GQ as long as they did. HE made Maryville become the Maryville that everyone once feared. He left and things slowly have turned. Everything has a season. Nothing last forever. One day Creasy will move on from Oakland and the same will occur there. They will still be pretty dang good for awhile and eventually things will play out. Before Creasy, Oakland had 3 state titles. Before GQ, Maryville had 3 as well if I'm not mistaken. Point is, neither team was really anything special before those two coaches showed up.
  17. Lol....Oakland would boat race virtually all of them. DLA would be a good game but the rest? Not so much
  18. 4 for Riverdale and 7 for Oakland if not mistaken.
  19. Oakland doing what Oakland does. Congrats to Beech for making it to the game and good luck next year. Congrats to the Oakland Patriots for 3 gold balls in a row and 4 out of the last 5. The road to 6A Championship ball goes through Ray Hughes Stadium.
  20. Tubdumper is talking about Ligma Rearinn. That kids just a sophomore and only plays during a running clock. Doubtful he would have seen the field anyway. Pats by 14
  21. Absolutely none that I'm aware of but then again his father is Albert Haynesworth and I trust him about as far as I can throw him. Albert doesn't strike me as a man of high moral character based on his past.
  22. The sophomore Haynesworth will be great if he stays at Oakland. He's one of those kids that gets your attention real quick on a football field. First time I saw him was at an after supper JV game I ran up to watch because I didn't have anything better to do. He caught my attention as soon as he got the ball in his hands. You could tell. He was different from everyone else on the field. I asked the mom and dad next to me who he was. They said they didn't know but thought his dad played somewhere in the NFL. Then looked down and standing against the fence was Albert Haynesworth. It all made sense then. He has played sparingly this year with varsity simply because so many great backs are ahead of him that have earned their stripes. The young man is 6'2" and right at 220 lbs. He has the ability and seems the desire to run over folks. At the same time he does seem to have decent speed. Not like the serious track speed other sophomore Tamari Hill has but still not bad. MTF is correct. Soph class is loaded.
  23. Lol...sorry.....he laid that one up on a tee. I couldn't help myself.
