Lady Cubs will be in the same spot as last year. Can they break through in the sectional game wil be the question? They definitely have the talent, size, speed and shooting to make state. Need to win that region and get that sectional game at home. District should be theirs for the taking.
Fairview: win out and region champ
Cheatham: beat Harpeth and east and guaranteed 2nd regardless would need Fairview to lose twice for 1st
Camden: win out and have Cheatham lose
Harpeth: win out and have Camden lose.
Pretty sure this would be the pathways for first place in region without getting into all the tie breaker stuff.
3 way tie: overall record gets first place, then you go head to head for 2nd and 3rd.
Hey howdoitknow is this all correct?
I agree with you swarm. Camden left some plays on the field with a couple of big drops. Their D line was impressive, especially big #52. It is good to see Cheatham playing better, just being competitive, and we will take a win any we can get it!
Seems to me from this game and Cheatham game that they get a good lead and think it's over. Could be wrong but that's impression I'm getting. Then they get serious and turn it back on
East Hickman has never won more than 7 games in a single season. The year they beat south Gibson they were still below 500 so they have never been a dominant type program. The big thing to me is that is a small county with limited resources to begin with and then you split the talent pool for sports by building east Hickman. It's first year was 2007. Hickman County was never dominant at football, they would have a good year hear and there but never consistently and then you take a 1/3 of the kids to east Hickman. This same thing has happened in Montgomery county as well.
I believe all the Cheatham county teams will be down this year just based on what left and what came back.
Cheatham: lost Douglas and Goode both are playing college ball. Have some experience returning but no one who has carried a team.
Sycamore: lost Brown and Baker, both playing college baseball. Will Darius James take control?
Harpeth: lost Newton and the point Gaurd. Still have Copeland who balled out some last year,Also breaking in a new coach and system.
I thought White House was bringing back the most and will probably be the preseason favorite.
Any freshman on the radar or transfers?
They have improved a lot. Finally have a Coach that wants to be here, with a good coaching staff. it really shows what can happen with a program when the same leaders are here through the offseason. This team is very young as well and only look to get better
