  1. The 2011-2012 CBHS team was loaded if I’m remembering correctly. They were ranked high nationally. And had Oliver, Johnson, Robinson, Baker I believe.
  2. Surprising seeing Bradley in the final. I do believe Father Ryan steem rolled them earlier in the season? I don’t believe it was close.
  3. Any updates? I’m sure this was a good ole fashion dog fight like it was last year. These duals are usually who can stay off their back the best.
  4. Reiniche lost 11-0 to FRHS two years ago in the state finals.
  5. 138 should be an interesting matchup. I would say about 4 or 5 that have a chance to take this weight if they are on at state.
  6. I believe Christian Brothers still has a big chance to sneak in and win it. They did beat Baylor for 3rd 38-26, with Nicholson having to forfeit halfway through the match that he was winning. I do understand how tough it is losing Nicholson, but dont count out the Bros this weekend.
  7. Simpson pinned whitworth. Whitworth beat bowers. Where is whitworth?
  8. Surely they must reseed some of these weight classes? I wonder if these are the seeds based off of the point system and may be changed later before tomorrow?
  9. I apologize for saying "ranked" I meant seeded at the NCAA tournament. That's why all I've said is how they have done at the NCAA tournament, so you are dissecting every word in my post. I said "ranked" instead "seeded" so it looks like you work with me at the FBI. Too bad I've never seen you at work.
  10. I think you are missing my other points. You stated that you thought Elijah was ranked higher than Leen and Simpson as a true freshman. (Which is wrong) Simpson was one match from placing as a freshman. Leen was two. And Elijah was three. But Elijah was seeded higher than Leen.
  11. Jordan Leen- 2005 his true freshman year. Unseeded and finished 2-2 at the NCAA's. Then went on to become a three time all American and national champion. Phillip Simpson- 2002 his true freshman year. Seeded 10th. (Which is higher than 16th I do believe) finished 3-2 at the NCAA's. Then went on to become a three time all American and national runner up. Elijah was the 16 seed and went 1-2 at the NCAA's. He is also ranked 20th on flow. Just thought I would clear that up for you.
  12. texas23, Im glad you provided statistical facts to back up your point like the person you are trying to bash. Im sure your opinion means more than the facts. I am sure you non biased mind didn't influence this post at all.
  13. Perfectly said. Like I always say to my boys, when you step on that line you are the only person that has a chance to beat him, no matter who the other guy is. Well said Coach!
  14. I heard they moved to NJ and thought the wrestling wasn't tough enough so they transferred to Mccallie mid season, which is why they have been deemed ineligible by TSSAA. But if Mccallie can get those two in the lineup (120 and 132 I believe), then Mccallie is going to be the team to beat.
  15. Although having a little bias in this topic since im from the west, i would like to interpret what you mean go back a few years. You must be talking about the CBHS team from 2011-2012 where they climbed into the top 30 in the country when they put the smack down on FRHS in the finals 41-22. I guess you left the ag center and didnt come back for individuals when FRHS won by 39.5 points over CBHS. Also what did you mean by beating the crap out everybody they defeated Baylor in the semis by one point. Fast forward to the individual tournament and they tied for second. The only year CBHS has won both dual and individual titles was 2013 when they did win both state titles. Outside of 2013 when has CBHS "beat the crap out of" anybody? But the ribs should be the main topic of this thread rather than the wrestling.
  16. I would like to thank you texas23 for posting so often that way when I wake up in the morning I know I can start my day off with a nice laugh by getting on here to see what you posted about today. Exactly what part of my comment makes soms looks smart? I do believe just 7 days ago (I double checked my math, but feel free to check it again) Father Ryan defeated Bradley 44-17 WITHOUT state champion Raymond Eason at 120. In what way does a 27 point dual match win even remotely suggest a close invitational race? When I read your idiotic comment, that is now making me look much smarter then I actually am (and I thank you for that), I decided to look at the Bradley brackets. Father Ryan has not 1, not 2, not 3, BUT 4 starters out of the lineup, which is more than 25% of their lineup. THEREFORE it seems as though there is one plausible reason you are backing up soms idiotic post prior to the brackets being released is that you are a Father Ryan parent because you must have known they were going to be damaged this weekend giving Bradley a chance to sneak in with a FULL lineup and POSSIBLY win. But then when I look back at an old post of yours you BASHED the father ryan people for playing the "victim" of all the rankings. SO could you please explain to me your thought process on how this tournament race would be even remotely close with both teams having their full lineups? As the semis round up in Bradley the team score on trackwrestling has Father Ryan with 213.5 to Bradley's 191.5, but we all know how trackwrestling has its problems. It must be a typo they should get that fixed.
  17. A dog fight for 1st and 2nd? you surely must not be talking about Father Ryan and Bradley are you...? Oh wait you must be mixed up, the McCallie Invitational thread is right below this one.
  18. They are also the only TN team that was ranked in the nation on intermat wrestling. They also only lost 3 wrestlers out of their starting lineup to baylors 4. Bradley also lost 3 that made the state (not including their 160,195, and 220 where they did not make the state tournament) so I am not sure exactly how you can make the argument that you had not seen father ryan wrestler yet. You have seen 11 of their 14 starters wrestler last year (6 of which are state champions)
  19. Is Satterfield related to the Satterfield that went to McCallie then transferred? I believe he went to William Blount (I don't remember exactly) but I remember he was a stud that made that finals I believe and may have won it.
  20. You really think they have a good shot against archer at the Cleveland duals this year? Archer is ranked 13th nationally I believe.
  21. Not every TN goes to any of those tournaments and would rather compete against teams they can compete against rather than getting rolled up be a great Bradley and father ryan team and going home without a single individual win seems like the biggest waste of time. Rather than having it divided up fairly that way every team has a chance to compete. Rather than getting killed by the two best teams in the tournament. What good does that do? I agree with what you are saying but you are looking at it from a ricky bobby if you ain't first your last standpoint. Every team comes here to compete win or lose its to compete. No one wants to go get shutout by the two best teams in the tournament and that be their entire weekend. Divide the teams up equally give everyone a fair good weekend of wrestling.
