That whole district is scared of the letters WESTVIEW. Alana Seals is related to me, she plays for South Gibson, i watched them play Obion, they played hard and looked like a pretty solid team. When they played Westview they looked like they walked up no a dead body. Then against Crockett, they looked lik the team that played vs Obion. You cant say WESTVIEW to any of those teams over there, they freak out.

I also heard from refs that at the state tournament refs are instructed to call charge moreso than block no matter what. I wonder what refs from this area goes this year. Saw some of who I would call the worse officials in the area up there the last few yrs

The chester and dyerburg game i think could go either way. Dyersburg has great defense but struggle to score at times and Howard can not get in foul trouble. Chester has a good zone defense and 3 kids that can score on given nights, but they turn it over a lot. This is the only game i think that has a chance of the lower seed winning. JUST MY OPINION!

If Lexington wins they play the #2 seed from 13AA, if they lose they play the #1 seed. And it is my understanding that the tournament shifts to 13AA side if they sweep 14AA in the first round. I doubt that happens because I dont see the the 3 or 4 seed from 13AA beating SS in the first round, but hey its the postseason.

McNairy over Crockett will be bad.

What were you expecting? New coach, not sure if your bets player from last year was going to play until right before the season, young role players, battling discipline.

NS kids are more focused on trying to prove a point and be bullies ir try to fight instead of playing the game. A couple kids on that only talked, fouled and tried to fight the last time NS played SS. If I'm not mistaken, #12 was dismissed from the team last year for his antics and talking crazy to a coach.

No disrespect to any of the girls because they are good players and great kids but from what I saw the best player in the district is #3 for Dyersburg. The MVP doesnt always have to be the person that averages a lot of points, its the best overall basketball player in the district and I wish coaches and whoever else on these committees and start getting some of this stuff right. Too much hatred, jealousy slight in high school sports. People forget its about the kids

How does Crockett and SGC matchup with SS and McNairy?

I know a couple of SGCs kids and they didn't play WV like they played Obion and Crockett. Not sure wat the game plan was vs WV but they looked scared to death and wouldnt shoot or play hard. They did both of those things against Obion and Crockett

Just went and looked. Chester beat SS by 1 and loss to SS by 15 Scotts Hill loss to McNairy, by 14 and 36 You have those margins fairly close. Do you think the neutral site helps out? Whats you analysis? I got SS by 20 and McNairy by as many as they want if the Warren stays on the block and the guards are making shots.

The Ware kid?

South Gibson had the right plan vs Westview and got plenty of good looks but didnt capitlaize. Then they started throwing the ball away for no reason. They were without #3 which hurt them defensively, IMO, and they looked terrified when they saw the name WESTVIEW on the front of those uniforms. Crockett had Dyersburg on the ropes but they couldnt pull it off. Pankey missed a lot of layups and had a couple of costly turnovers. Region 7AA is wide open if you ask me. 14AA plays tonight, should be interesting

No doubt Wilkins will have them ready. I'm not sure I would say defense won that state championship. I saw 5 players on the floor playing hard and wanting it more, but yea they played well. I just think if put in the right situation with those two giants they can make noise, but i picked GC early on to win that district. I am a Hart sisters fan! Hard double one the coach has to find a way to get the there one going. And yea, i think i stated that their guards arent that good, but are capable of doing enough to help them win. Humboldt possibly has the best and biggest post tandem in West Tn. I agreed if they get anything from their guards, lookout! I picking them in what really is an upset even though Neal is out.
