  1. I think she is a heck of a player and I have heard that she is holding out for Kentucky as well, BUT, as a former JUCO athlete and D2 athlete and coach, I dont think she has the motor to be a Power 5 guard nor does she play defense consistently. Again thats just my opinion, dont hang me, again i think she is a good player. I say go dominate at a high mid-major or low D1.
  2. Ensworth is not all that, IMO. I think Kentucky has this tournament format
  3. I definitely agree here. I never argued this at all. I agree
  4. This probably should be on another thread, but i attended the tournament in Medina last night. I didnt know Ayers coached the middle school for Dyersburg. Also, Coach Wilkins is about to get 3 girls from that middle school team that he can plug in quickly. Madison Hart's sister can flat out GO and there was another girl that can shoot it. Future looks good in Dyer
  5. Correct, CC shoots the 3, and of course 3s always give you a good chance to win, but i have seen them in a few games where its not falling and that is their downfall. Other than Pankey, no one on that team can create shots, I think that will hurt them in the tournament.
  6. Certainly not trying to wish it away, just gets exciting and gives me a time to get away and enjoy the sport i love for a couple weeks.
  7. Its very possible that you could. We all know SS will be there, the question is who else will? I dont think anyone in 14 is better than 2-4 in 13. They may be equal, but not better
  8. I cant wait til March. A lot of these teams that are being mentioned either wont be there or get popped first game. Its always crazy every yeear there are teams that we all know should be there but for whatever reason that substate put a stubbling block in their way. I am just ready for 2 weeks vacation, nothing but HS basketball, "the best" in the state!
  9. hearsay is that he didnt have the proper paperwork and some of "the people" wanted him gone
  10. I have seen every team in that district and I am still not sure that i pick SGC to win it. All the teams are kinda along the same lines to me. SGC - guard play is not what it was last year, solid bigs. Crockett - good guards, small inside Dyersburg - well coached and plays very hard WV - pretty well rounded team. Very tough Milan - seems to be a bunch of young talent that could play well any given night Obion - still trying to learn the Ralph Turner way
  11. I saw a game last night that was 50-7 at halftime and the starters only played 4 mins in the first quarter.
  12. How does a deep run help? I thought the award was presented at the beginning of the tournament?
  13. You have your opinion as I do. I will agree to disagree. End of discussion on my end until someone beats them. It was stated that the loss is scheduled so i'll wait for everyone's wish to be satisfied
  14. I will accept that. I didnt realize Chester hadnt won a district game, I'll go with Lexington in the top 4
  15. As I stated I was there. PB is good team all across the board, I could careless what their record is. Not sure what film you saw, and what big guard from Bolivar you are referring to, but the first game Norment from Bolivar had about 20 in the first half, 2nd half SS had him Non Existent and the game at SS he was Non Existent, couldnt get a shot off and didnt look real aggressive against that weak defense you speak of. Southmore was a good team with 2 D1 recuits and one being about 6'10 and he could only dunk, he wanted no part of being physical with #35 and #12 from SS. 14AA boys are awful, 13AA not too much better. I hope they can hold it together until substate hopefully against Covington who I hear is the real deal. Like i stated on another post, IDC what the schedule is UNDEFEATED is impressive and folk dont give credit where it's due in West Tn
  16. I am still waiting on the explanation for the post that said just wait the loss is scheduled. They will have an undefeated regular season unless something foreseen happens. No one in the district will come close to beating them, Thats just my opinion
  17. The last sentence is what matters! But its hard to slsight a team with the possiblity to have an undefeated regular season. I dont care who on the schedule or who not to go undefeated is a major accomplishment and I believe SS girls did it a couple years ago and made it to the boro with a what was then called a weak schedule. Yes that got beat first round but how many teams can say they was there and how many win it on the first appearance?
  18. I was at the missouri tournament and contrary to you belief. Poplar Bluff and Southmore were good teams. Memphis basketball is always tough just because of their style of play and how the officials let the game be played. Hard to play a lot tough teams with so many teams in that district, but the out of district games were pretty competitive teams.
  19. This is why we're here, to state our opinions and entertain each other lol. I get a kick out of a lot the threads
  20. I love the assessments, both you and dmm are spot on. The only thing that is iffy is you last statment. That is kinda of an inconsistency. Warren for McNairy, IMO is ineffective outside of the paint. She has not shot the ball well from 3 in the games that I have seen her play the last couple years and this summer. SS wins if she plays outside.
  21. And yes a restricted area is much needed, probably more than the shot clock
