Good point. I am for it, but this is one of the cons. I think the good defensive teams should be rewarded. Some times you have kids up defending well and the referee is not even counting. Also, if we are preparing kids to play on the next level then why not implement it?

Same thing happened to McNeal at SS last year and his guard Miller as well. He should have been COY and she was hands down POY but the jealousy, hatred and another word that I wont use played a big part.

Jackson Sun barely show the schools in Jackson love, well public schools. I am with you. I'm for all the West tn schools that go across the river. Also, I like Coach Wilkins and his teams. They play hard and are class acts!

I hate that I will miss this. Madison Hart is one of my favorite players in the area. I expect her to have a good game inside. If #4 from GC gets hot TCA may be in trouble. Its hard to pick a winner because I know how hard GC plays. Lets see how it turns out. I hope someone is tweeting or posting updates here

Injuries are awful, especially to seniors. Q. Miller on the court and SS beats WV and probably plays for a State Championship. I didn't see a team in Mboro that would have stopped her or been able to handle their pressure. I have been saying this since March. Thanks for all the prayers and prayers sent out to all the others who are injured. Really hated to see Jelks go down as well as Callins and the PG for SS. Girls and ACLs dont get along. I predict Dyersburg at least splits with Westview this season. SS and McNairy battle for 14AA.

If South Side gets by Haywood, my prediction is you can stamp undefeated on their regular season. The test every one wanted them to have was tonight. And the Wofford commit is 6'9 and athletic, that is it!

Seems like they had to tough test the past 2 nights and pulled out 2 wins over some good competition. I dont see those guys as having the big head, looks like a well rounded team to me. They play hard and fast and lets not forget they are still teenagers. I am sure they will have a bad or not so good game somewhere along the way, but how they persevere is what I want to see. As nice as it is to have an undefeated regular season, I think all good, championship caliber teams need to suffer one or two losses just so they have that taste in their mouth. If they win the championship in Missouri, I dont see any losses coming before substate. Just my opinion

I havent seen anyone mention undefeated season, guess I missed that post. But Chester was hot against them but couldnt handle pressure or match the size and strength. Bolivar shot fairly well against them as well but again couldnt match the size and physicality. SS has a monster down low and has at least 3 good size guards that dont mind going right at you and they play some pretty solid defense as well. Others may have said undefeated season, but I.m not saying that but i will say again, I dont see anyone in Rural West Tn beating them

JCS was healthy at that time and Humboldt is better than usual and they are huge inside, plus Maxon and the new kid struggled that night. I was at that game.

I heard Covington is pretty good also. You know fans always think their team is the best instead of being realistic

This game was one of the best I have sen in a while. The rivalry between SS and Bolivar may be back fro at least a year or 2. Bolivar pushed SS to the limit, but down the stretch SS prevailed even missing 4 clutch FTs in a row. The Maclin kid looked like a phenom on a breakaway dunk over a Bolivar kid who tried taking a charge. And the huge kid inside is massive. I'll hold to my word, no one in West Tn outside of Memphis beats them

SS is not necessarily missing Jelks, but she is a difference maker. As a SS supporter, they looked like a middle school team at Chester and it is always hard to win there. I expect them to handle them pretty good when they come to SS. Last night's game was a good one. Scotts Hill made several 3s to keep SS from pulling away. I think that itll be tight come tournament time.
