  1. GP has played three strong teams. FCS will have its full attention on the Cougars this Friday evening.
  2. The Commanders head to Nashville to take on the Cougars who are searching for their first win. Can the Cougars stop FC's run game?
  3. First year I have ever seen FC special teams all across the board better than TC. FC OLine had worn TC down by the 4th. Once FC lined up in the jumbo package, TC had no answer. Great football game between two very strong teams. TC will benefit from this game just as FC will benefit as the season moves on. It has already been said in this thread and I agree, Iron sharpens Iron. Hope to see this rivalry continue to meet on the gridiron.
  4. From looking at the map, it did not appear that they have a stand alone football field. Do they play at the Shallowford Road address?
  5. FCS will be traveling to Chattanooga after a win on the Creekbank at Trousdale County. Thoughts?
  6. Any idea where the QB is transferring?
  7. FCS has not played NCS in recent memory. I believe FCS will be strong this fall with a large group of senior leadership with high expectations. Having said that, DCA is well coached, disciplined and always seems to bring it. DA is also very well coached and has a good returning group with a strong QB and RB and some experience on the line. Should be interesting.
  8. FCS has been plagued by costly turnovers much of this season. DCA is a well coached, disciplined football team. They came out and executed their plan. Best of luck to my DCA friends as you move toward the playoffs.
  9. This has been a very close game in the past few years. DCA won in 2011 and FCS has won the series since. The last three years have been very close. FCS defense has played very tough the last four games. If they contain Walker, it should be a great game.
  10. The Commanders head to DCA Friday night and are back at full strength. I heard that DCA may not have been at full strength in their last game. Is DCA healthy? Predictions?
  11. Although the Saints fought hard, the Commanders were just too much for them in the 2nd half. Commanders score 28 unanswered points and post the shut out. Good luck to MJCA as they move forward.
  12. MJCA is off to the best start in the history of the school. FCS is shaping up and finding it's stride. How do these two teams match up for this Friday? Predictions??
  13. This was a tough game. Webb is well coached and very disciplined. FCS was in the game until middle ways through the 4th. Best of luck to Webb as they continue through the season. I would love to see a rematch of these two teams.
  14. QB for Davidson played great. Congrats to Davidson on a hard fought game.
  15. FCS has a good size offensive line this year as well but certainly no 6'8 guys. Should be a good contest by two competitive teams on a rain soaked field.
  16. FCS scores early to take 7-0 lead. Score was 7-7 at half. BGA up 14-13, early in the 4th. Then BGA up 21-19, before scoring the last two. FCS has four turnovers not counting a snap over the punters head and 9 penalties. Penalties and turnovers. Lots of big hits in this game.

  18. Division IIA - Lineman - Andrew Wood, FCS Division IIA - Back - A.T. Taylor, FCS
  19. Suggesting that the coaches replace the current center could reasonably be viewed as an attack on the play of the center. If you have truly followed FCS for the past five years you would know that he is arguably the most tenacious, consistent lineman leading this rushing attack. You would know that there in no quit in that kid and that he will lead this team where it needs to go. Missed snaps are never a positive thing for an offensive attack. However, mistakes happen in high school football and I, for one, am confident that these young men will rise above these mistakes and make a deep run into the playoffs. #53 is right where he needs to be.
  20. Correct. MJCA canceled the two scheduled baseball games against FCS and refused to reschedule.
  21. The FCS 7/8 grade team went 8-0 last year as well. We will see in the next three years how MJCA stacks up against them.
  22. One of their coaches, during halftime of a game where they were down by 21, told the visiting crowd to just wait on these 8th graders to come up. They would be dominating by their junior year. I believe it to be a glorified feel good moment.
