  1. The gold ball goes through Rutherford County this year. Possibly to East TN, but no chance to west tn.
  2. http://sonnymoorepowerratings.com/h-s-foot.htm 1 Maryville 2 Blackman 3 Oakland 4 Dobyns Bennett 5 Science Hill 6 Sevier County 7 Riverdale 8 Hendersonville 9 Whitehaven 10 Independence
  3. Goodpasture is really down. After last week, TC needs a 'team' win. TC wins by 21. Like McNeal said last night on News 5+, wouldn't be surprised at all to see TC in the championship game once the entire squad is back and healthy.
  4. Maryville just moved up to #26 in the nation today. Knox Fulton is #35. Ensworth #48. No mention of any West TN squads. http://usatodayhss.com/rankings/expert/boys/football/2014/ I'll say again, Blackman is for real & the Golden Ball goes through them in 6A.
  5. "If you stand up and be counted, from time to time you may get yourself knocked down. But remember this: A man flattened by an opponent can get up again. A man flattened by conformity stays down for good." Thomas J. Watson
  6. With the playoffs a week later, I would play my JV squad in this one.
  7. If they do, Tennessee gets a squad in the top 25 in the national rankings. Good luck!
  8. Blackman is for real. IF they beat Hoover AL, they will step into the top 25 in the nation. Of course after that, they have to figure out a way to get past Maryville's extremely fast program.
  9. This will be a good measuring stick to see if DCA is for real this year. 3 tough games in a row. For now, the power rankings has DCA listed as 246th in the state with an 87.44. BB is at 183rd with a 97.40 power ranking. http://sonnymoorepowerratings.com/h-s-foot.htm DCA's game against King's Academy should say a lot. Those guys put up points but have no depth. If DCA can dominate them like they have the rest of their schedule so far, might be a long night for BB in two week.s
  10. Too far to drive from West Tennessee for my kids to be part of the FCS experience. Just glad I can keep up with the squad occasionally through the internet. I-69 is coming so that should help. Once we get that built, north to south, any chance we can get some Cosby mason jars over in West TN?
  11. MJ was humbled against Blackman. Good squad but they have to start questioning if they are going to make the playoffs now. Even if they do, Blackman showed them there's no chance to compete against the top talent (Blackman, Maryville, Whitehaven) in 6A playoffs.
  12. Not a spokesman for any school But you got me curious. Who is FCA? I got on TSSAA's website and that school doesn't exist. "Information is not knowledge." - Albert Einstein
  13. Good point. I should have said 'most' of the squads they played were not TSSAA sanctioned teams. Not all.
  14. Congrats to McKenzie. Good win. Good luck moving forward.
  15. That's a beatdown. Blackman is legit. Hopefully Middle TN wins over East/West when the playoffs come around. Gotta ask though, why in the world do you schedule Hoover/AL (#7 in the country) the week before the playoffs start? Hopefully you will not have any injuries in a game that doesn't matter.
  16. Surprising outcome ... not the win but the score. Good luck to TC in the district. Didn't think it would be this lopsided.
  17. Good game tonight. Some of the freshman that play on Varsity stepped up HUGE. Next Friday is a big game for playoff seeding. Going to be fun to watch who steps up in the BIG game.
  18. Nope, I'll be around awhile. Let me know if anything I posted in only 2 statements was incorrect. The truth is a harsh reality sometimes. I didn't even bring up that the middle school baseball squad used an illegal player that under TSSAA rules couldn't transfer from Southside to MJCA midseason playing on both squads. Everyone ignored that at MJCA because they 'won' a made up conference against home-school players. “When you judge others, you do not define them, you define yourself†― Earl Nightingale
  19. The biggest difference between those two middle school programs last year though is FCS went 8-0 against real TSSAA schools (District 8 & DIV II E/M 1 & 2). MJCA only played MTAC and rec-type programs. Not too hard to go 8-0 against programs that don't even have a 2nd string.
  20. Until MJCA plays Webb, they are not serious. Taking a forfeit each year is pitiful and a terrible example for all of the athletes at this school. I would be embarrassed to be part of a program that doesn't play all of the squads in the district. First thing the new coach needs to demand is to make sure in 2015, they play the schedule TSSAA puts out for their squad. If they skip Webb again next year under the new coaches watch ... just pitiful. They should switch to MTAC or flag football.
