  1. A- Tess Darby, Chloe Moore AA - Akira Levvy AAA - ??
  2. Not sure but after checking their remaining schedule, I am not sure they have a win left on the schedule. They are getting blown out on the regular! If they are young, their best days are definitely ahead of them.
  3. Best game I have seen all season. Great atmosphere and I agree it was a slugfest. Congrats to CR. They are definitely going to be a tough out!
  4. Congrats West TN on being well represented.
  5. Correct. Shutes is the best player in 15AA!
  6. I believe SUmmertown will win it all as well but if I was Greenfield or Huntingdon I would not forfeit because Summertown still has to beat someone and I think it may just be Greenfield in a close championship game. I expect Huntingdon to make the field of 8 as well but Summertown is just too tough.
  7. I agree with you that it will be SUmmertown v Huntingdon and could go either way. Looking fwd to watching it.
  8. 12AA - No-one stands out from what I have seen. all teams are average at best and on individual player stands out to me from what i have seen District 13 - Tasia Jones District 14 - Hands down, Khyla Wade-Warren this kid can play and has proven she can put the team on her shoulders and carry every last one of them!
  9. gonna be tough and they are all district games and HAVE to be made up.
  10. ....and i just checked the score and realized that my justification for my pick was wrong! Congrats to McNairy and your daughter on the win!
  11. two great players and a great team with unselfish players! fun to watch and I think Murfreesboro is VERY possible. Go Super Sophs!
  12. wasn't trying to discredit anyone especially not your daughter. she is an awesome player. what i should have said was riverside's best player is a guard who handles the ball on every possession and Mcnairy's is a fwd that dominates everywhere else. in those circumstances, i take the team with the best guard...Riverside. my apologies if i offended you or your daughter.
  13. You are loading up to make three runs! 2018, 2019 and 2020!
  14. Realistic45, are you in fact, Stephen A Smith?

  16. I have to agree with you GC. I think Greenfield would represent west TN well and would be less likely to get awestruck and lay a turd in the Boro like so many teams do. Moore and Darby have played enough big AAU games to not be intimidated by the bright lights of the state tourney. Peabody making it would also be a great story especially given the fact that just a few years back they went an entire season (2012-13) without winning a game and not even being close to winning a game. Just think how bad of shape a program has to be in to be blown out by EVERY Single A girls basketball team you play for 27 games. Incredible turnaround!!
  17. You are probably right about Huntingdon. I have seen them several times including last year in the state tourney. They sometimes look good at the guard position and other times appear careless. What I may be saying here is that west tn may not have any teams that can compete for a state title. Two will make it, but will they really even have a chance for the gold ball? The answer is "no" unless they have consistent good guard play. Still a lot of season left....
  18. I got Riverside over Mcnairy simply because Riverside’s best player can handle the ball and McNairy’s cannot although she can do everything else. Who won?
  19. Agree. In single A you don’t necessarily have to have a true Big but you do have to have Great guards. That being said, I was able to make it to the GC v TCA game tonight expecting to see 2 teams that may be able to make it to the Boro and compete. Both of these teams are Light Years away from competing for a state championship or even competing with Huntingdon and Greenfield out of west TN. On my count, between the two teams, there were over 40 turnovers and the defensive pressure applied by either team was not even that intense. You can’t win big games turning the ball over so easily. Neither team seemed to have a guard that was willing to dribble through pressure and then attack the basket. In my opinion, if you don’t have that, you cannot even begin to compete at the state level. Greenfield and Huntingdon appear to be the best bet for a west TN run at state.
  20. I really thought Dresden would be a little tougher this year than their record indicates. I know they graduated a great guard to Bethel, but they are very well coached, talented and picked up the good PG from Clarksburg. Anyone close to the program have any input?
  21. Me too. They may lose but I think it is close. It will be interesting to see how HuntingDon reacts after getting drummed by Greenfield. This game could go either way.
  22. Don't misunderstand me, I don't think they are "beatable." They are and outstanding team and very well coached, but if you have ever seen Upperman and SG play, you would agree that those two are probably a little better.
  23. GC, Do you think Gibson County may be able to mount a run and sneak into a substate game or maybe even win a berth to the Glass House? I think it is possible, but luck has to go their way in district and region matchups. What do you think?
