Laugh on Yankee! No one said that TCA was an elite team. The thread is about bragging rights in District 15A. I certainly do not believe for a second that Middleton is an elite team yet somehow they are ranked in the top 5 in the state. They are young and barely beat TCA in their hotbox of a gym with some late questionnable calls. When they play together as a team, TCA is tuff and very capable of beating Middleton especially at home.

Couldnt agree more. That is going to be fun to watch. After seeing some of Dyersburg's box scores and the close games they have had, I can't sy I am surprised that Westview was able to win that one last night. The District tournament is going to be hotly contested. The freshman at Martin is outstanding. She would be a lock as a major D1 prospect if she was a little taller. Still may be.....

One of the best eighth graders in the state has got to be Quanandra Miller at West Middle in Jackson. She can handle the ball and is a scoring machine. She is all they got and still noone can stop her. I think she will be going to Southside next year and will contribute as a Freshman.

I think West Carroll handles UC without too much of a problem. The GC game will come down to how they call the game. A6'4" center is hard to stop with a good guard that can feed her, but foul trouble on either side could prove detrimental. Looking forward to seeing it and i believe we will.

No idea about Bradford, but they have been struggling as of late.

GC, why did just the GC boys play West Carroll and not the girls? That would have been one heckuva preview to what might just tbe the Region championship game.

They dont really have a goto player like they did last year with Rechis. They have several that can score on any given night. Their freshman guard is a hand full for most teams and if she is scoring too, they will be tough to beat. this will be a great game. I have seen some of Dyersburg's scores and they have squeaked out some close game to some soso teams. They need to come ready to play or Westview may upset them.

District 15A bragging rights on the line here this Friday night! How do ya'll see this one playing out? First game at Middleton was a close one taken by Middleton.

Missed that on the schedule but I have seen Humboldt and that is as good as a day off. Middleton could beat Humboldt with their "second five."

The race for second through seventh could start to shape up this week in District 15A. Riverside and Middleton both visit Trinity while Scotts Hill plays Madison and Riverside and Adamsville and Jackson Christian tangle. Madison has got to be the best 4 win team in the state. They have lost a lot but have been in a position to win in several of those losses. That is what a great coach and a 6'2" post player can do. Scotts Hill shouldnt sleep on them. It will be interesting to see when Deja comes back for Middleton. They are off Tues, so maybe she will be able to go Friday against the Lions. Time will tell...

I agree. I think Houston County has a great chance to make a deep run. Several of those girls have played AAU ball together for several years and it is paying off with W's!

Agreed! I hate to see kids not enjoy the best years of their lives by trying to live up to high expectations held onto by their parents or other influential people in their lives that may or may not match up with their individual goals. My advice is to USE basketball (if that is your goal) to get a good education, don't let basketball USE you! Basketball is fleeting, an education will set you up for success for the rest of your life!

Not sure there is anyone that has a "good chance." Murfreesboro Central on a perfect night might have a "snowballs" chance!

Is the D1 signee going to be able to "go" the rest of the way? That is the big question Two straight game she has sat out. If she can't, then the Middleton discussion becomes "how far can they go?" Instead of "they are the best single A team."

What is going on with Wayne County? They beat a solid Riverside team and Collinwood but lose to Jackson Christian by 11 who is in a rebuilding year and at the bottom of District 15 A.

Toughest district is 7A hands down. District 15A has a great team at full strength and a favorite to win it all if all players remain healthy, but the rest of 15A is average to below average. The rest of the season and post season is going to be fun to watch play out!

Deja did not play again last night. They didn't need her against Adamsville, but they are going to need her to make it to the Boro. Hope she makes it back soon because with her they will bring home a gold ball to Middleton.

District 1 and District 7 have to be at the top of the list. District 9 may be up there when you consider the years to come.
