Junk defenses like that rarely work especially against such a talented team as SS. They would have been better served running a straight 2-3 and hoping for a bad shooting night. Obion is probably not quick enough to close out on shooters out of 2-3. Crockett may be able to. That would be my strategy. Going to be a good one, but if I were betting the game, I would go SS by 8.

If the refs call the semis and finals the same way they called the CC and Westview game, I give the advantage to SS to win it all. They will be just too athletic and physical to handle!

Not sure about 34, but probably 30. I am normally on your side intense, but a 100% healthy Moore does probably go for 30 and adds 3 mores steals to get those extra points. She is that dynamic. I say it every year, guard play gets you to the Boro.. Tca’s guard play was a little off tonight despite dominating in the post.

I think Greenfield wins Tuesday if Moore is healthy especially if GC plays like they did tonight. I believe they meet again in the state finals!

Mark this down! TCA will play in the state ch-ship game in D2 next year. D2 is incredibly weak and TCA will be way better next year when the 8th graders that got minutes this year get some starts. If I am correct, they graduate only one starter and she was subbed out tonight for one of the 8th graders in the 4th qtr.

What a complete collapse and come apart by Peabody! On the other side, tremendous comeback by GC! Congrats to both for an awesome semifinal! Totally got our money’s worth in Martin tonight! Two incredible games! Looking forward to watching the “prequel” State Championship Game on Tuesday.

Definitely not the best I have seen from Greenfield.

GC wins by 4 over Peabody. I think Peabody will get to the rim and get shots they want. They have a chance to win if they can hit those shots. In the games I have seen them play, they have not hit those shots. Had they, they would likely have 5 more wins on their record. TCA upsets Greenfield by 2. Post play and depth will be too much for Greenfield and TCA will get helped out by fouls being called in the backcourt on Greenfield's press (basing this on the way refs are calling games in the post season). They will mount up and give TCA an even bigger advantage in the post and take pressure off of TCA's guards. Good luck TCA and GC in the Boro!

Great game at TCA tonight. TCA pulls out the win in the fourth. They play much better when playing from behind. Greenfield will have their hands full Sat. Going to be a good one. Only other thing I will say about the game is the refs made their presence way to known. Terrible calls all night long. Fortunately, they were equally bad for both teams. Fantom walks, tic tac fouls called and no calls on obvious fouls. You gotta do better, zebras!

It was almost comical to see the bench discrepancy in the district semifinal game at Martin. Gleason had 14 players and their coaches on the bench and Dresden had 4 coaches and 2 reserves on the bench with 10 empty chairs flanking them.

I am sure she has plenty. She is a great player!

Huh? Oddsmakers would say Gleason should win by 10.. They are the higher seed and most would agree the better team. Peabody has better athletes but unfortunately have a tendency to struggle shooting. If they play sloppy, they will get throttled!

If TCA takes care of Dresden and Greenfield can get by Madison ( I can't even type that without laughing hysterically) in the first round, the semifinal matchup is going to be one for the ages Two great teams going at it with a trip to the Boro on the line.

Where in my post did I say cheating a kid was necessary? Your coaches all hate each other and refuse to vote for another team's best player or their arch nemesis to win COY. The Lexington coach was a Miss Basketball finalist when she played and did not win POY if I am not mistaken. She fared just fine in her career at Ole Miss! The result is..... a good player, not the best, ends up with the most votes for POY. It is a team sport anyway. Individual awards mean nothing and will mean nothing to any non-winning players recruitment to colleges. Focus on the Region tournament and put this horse manure behind you!

Booing a kid is unnecessary and classless. There is no excuse for booing a kid when their name is called for an award and all eyes are on them. The kids don't vote on the awards the coaches do and there are obviously issues between several of the coaches which unfortunately will lead to skewed votes and perhaps good players, not the best, winning awards. But booing a kid is INEXCUSABLE!!!

There are a lot of politics and name recognition involved.

Agree on the Greenfield/Madison "bye." I don't think the winner of tonight's game will have too much trouble with Union City either, after that all games will be a war!

Whitewall and Hardy Memorial won and yes they will be swept in the Region tourney.
