41-0 in 2016… I think Ingle & crew’s record is 4-2 since 2011, with PC winning the last 2 of 3. The other loss was in OT, I think 48-45.

Glad you guys are back on the schedule. There have been some great CPA / PC games in the past. I think this one has the possibility of being the same. I would not be surprised if it went to OT or was won by special team play.

When I heard CPA was playing Antioch this year, I thought I must have misunderstood. I think we’ve played one of the hardest non-region schedules in the state for the last five or six years. Antioch scheduling Oakland also… I think the new Antioch staff must be doing a lot right and other coaches from more traditionally good football schools are wanting to support that.

Intriguing. I wish they included a factor for financial aid give also. But I guess that might mean schools would be more stingy with it and I don’t want that. I am all for students getting into a great school that normally would not be able to afford such. Not related @theawesomebro, but one of our returning WR / CB just got offers from Alabama, Georgia, and LSU this week. A first for us I believe… can’t wait for the season now that baseball is over.

We had it enforced on us yesterday for the first time. Gene M. had said you could have a normal line or cross at the TBCA conference this year, however yesterday the umpires said crosses were not allowed…

I was doing an online certification for another sport the other day and I was surprised that it reported that PED use is at 5% which I guess means out of the small percentage of HS kids that are tested (I think around 20% of total). The surprising part to me was that it’s the lowest it’s been since tracking began with a high of around 8% in the late 1990s. I would have thought with the strength and speed we see these days and things being easier to obtain via the internet it would have been the opposite.

Corn Elder Ensworth teams felt like the best teams I’ve ever seen.

Last year we had a sad end of the year because of the injury bug. 4-5 D1 players out when we got beat by McCallie. This year we will return a lot of the starters from last year. D1 players scattered throughout. Good defense, speed on the bases, some bashers, given no injuries we should have a solid pitching rotation. i love the Lex (sp) kid from Pope. That’s our region series opener. Ensworth surprised me last year. I could see them making a jump. LA will definitely be a top team, doesn’t feel like they lost a lot. Miller Green (hope I remember that right) and Hunter High are scary good. Standford LHP from MBA is a game changer and he has solid players all around him. I recall a mammoth first baseman that all pitched. It should be a fun year! My favorite time.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. You guys made the last few years exciting where things were beginning to feel stale. I’ve not seen what the non region schedule looks like beside we open with BA which should be a great first game. I’m a baseball guy, looking forward to playing those 3 region guys. Several really high quality guys in Lipscomb’s team.

Next year should be special I think.

It was a good pep talk. We won 24-7, but that was 2019. I think it’s 4 episodes, one for each year. The last two are going to be tough to watch
