  1. I’m thinking Tilman by 2 scores. They just now got the bulk of their team back due to Covid so this will be a very different team than the 2-3 record indicates.
  2. IMO the two best teams in the state played last night. Game could've went either way! Hats off to both coaches for making this game happen.
  3. I wouldn't say their finished, I think they will clean somethings and reach possibly the 3rd round of the playoffs. To me that's over achieving seeing all the talent that was lost this past year.
  4. I don't see anyway HC wins this game. I just think brentwood is the better team, I think HC will hit their stride and figure things out during the long region stretch because they still won't lose to a clarksville team this year but I feel Springfield will beat them by at least 2 scores. This would be the year NE could get them but they just seem poorly coached.
  5. Station Camp 3-0 at Gallatin 1-1 (Gallatin) East Nashville 2-1 at Hillsboro 0-3 (East Nashville) Kenwood 1-2 at West Creek 1-2 (Kenwood) Portland 2-1 at White House 2-1 (White House) Rossview 0-3 at Clarksville NE 1-2 (North East) Brentwood 0-3 a Henry County 1-2 (Brentwood) Hunters Lane 1-2 at Davidson Academy 3-0 (DA) John Overton 2-1 at Maplewood 1-2 (Overton) McGavock 1-2 at Stratford 1-2 (Stratford) Clarksville 2-1 at Dickson County 0-3 (Clarksville) Antioch 0-3 at Centennial 2-1 (Centennial) Blackman 2-1 at Summit 3-0 (Summit) Maryville 3-0 at Alcoa 3-0 (Maryville) Lebanon 2-1 at Siegel 2-1 (Siegal) Lincoln County 0-3 at Rockvale 2-0 (Rockvale) Clarksville NW 0-3 at Whites Creek 2-1 (Whites Creek) Columbia 2-1 at Green Hill 2-1 (Green Hill) Wilson Central 2-1 at Springfield 3-0 (Springfield)
  6. Yeah if I remember during his tenure at Northeast he had a heck of coaching staff plus athletes! He doesn't have the coaching staff it seems like, I could be wrong I'm on the outside looking in.
  7. After watching both of these teams I'm going to take the Green Wave in this one. I like station camp but I think in this one when you look at the match-up in the trenches I think the Green Wave has the edge there. But I could be wrong because this station camp team is scrappy so it'll be a good one. Also I doubt after this year the OC for Gallatin will be the same next yeat if he doesn't change the offense, either they don't have anyone who can throw the ball or this is just what they believe in but either way it's going to someone fired.

  9. No his information is correct. They are indeed looking for another HC, did have one hired but it didn't workout.
  10. Maurice Fitzgerald resigns so who will be good candidates for this job?
  11. It is filled, coach will be named today.
  12. I heard either a hire has been made or they wrapping things up with the candidate they have in mind.
  13. Heard they have made a hire but it has not been announced yet.
  14. Don't think this will be a hard job to fill because they will have their share of applicants for this job. But will definitely have to get someone who is ready to grind it out to get the program were they are even competitive.
  15. I honestly don't know. From what I heard the staff wasn't that good and the turnover was very high each season.
  16. Seems like they might be dragging their feet with this one.
  17. Yeah I have heard of some 1A schools not paying but only 2 assistants but at a 3A school that just wont cut it if you're trying to bring quality coaches in.
  18. You can get them in, in other ways as teacher assistants etc
  19. I know a young guy who was very interested in this job and applied was told they wanted a certified teacher.
  20. Being that I minored in sociology something just popped in my head lol. I think one reason parent involvement has been down these days is because of the single households that the kids are being raised in. mainly the moms don't have time when taking care of kids and trying to work at the sametime. Back in the day you'd see the moms all around the football programs helping in their free time because of a two household income but in today's society it just doesn't seem feasible.
  21. IMO it's when you have at least 4 or 5 parents from every grade level that keeps your program rolling year in and year out. It's so much of a headache for a HC when having to put together a booster every year no consistency. I think when parents are involved and buy in and take ownership that's when you will see successful booster clubs. I also think it's pretty good good to have some loyal alum to be part of the booster because that definitely builds tradition and they just want what's best for the kids and program. One fundraiser I've always thought about doing was dads or football mom flag football game. I think it would be fun and the kids would love it especially in a small community,
