  1. I'm talking about big kid that transferred from Lebanon. From what I understand the Faulkenberry kid is developed into a real good player. I may be off on my predictions because I have not seen these teams since their Freshmen year. I would've picked SC to finish first based on the last time I seen them play. As freshmen these seniors were better basketball players than every other team in the district but a lot has happened between now and then. Lebanon should be top two but somehow their talent doesn't transfer to wins. I'm not picking WC last simply because my son is on the team. He no longer is a difference maker but at least he is back on the team after two years. I don't know who Kyle is.
  2. If this remark was directed toward me I'm not sure why. Ive only seen the last two years games between the two schools. As someone else said most of the kids say there's nothing like the MJ week. Since we don't have a history here it's just like any week my son is more hyped about this week against all his old friends and teammates at McGavock than he is MJ.
  3. Someone told me that the big kid from SC has transferred again? If true MJ SC Lebanon Hendersonville Gallatin WC Beech Portland I have not watched any of the games the last year for a couple reasons. First of all my son has set out the last two years and this district is really bad basketball. It pains me to even watch what they call high school basketball here in middle TN.
  4. Why is it that the past several years no matter how much better WC may be on paper, they seem to lose to you guys? As I said earlier we have only been here a few years and don't have all the MJ history.
  5. Well since it always happen maybe your coach will give your kids the week off since WC is so bad.
  6. It's nice seeing everyone recognizing Hafners talents. His dad would be so proud of him. I've known him since he was 5 and this kid is as good a person as he is talented.
  7. Why would they be looking towards WC. Everyone says WC is not very good and it is lucky that they are 3-1. All I hear is every year all MJ needs to do is show up and WC will collapse. Everyone should know WC running backs are slow and are just getting lucky to be putting up 500 yards a game. Oh and the line can't block or open up huge holes to run through either.
  8. I would consider "being arrogant" saying that it's ok to lose a game because we are Mboro and we are going to probably win our district anyway. After watching WC the last three years I am no way arrogant about that school. I am just happy my son is on a team that is finally winning games. As I told him last night we could win the rest of our games on our schedule but we could just as easily only win 1 more game.
  9. That was for the one who said I lost my mind and for everyone who predicted WC wasn't any good and was going to get rolled by Siegel.
  10. Your biig LB came into see me at work yesterday wanting back on the work schedule and he was walking like he had never hurt his ankle. He said he wasn't playing tonight but I could see him playing next week. I'm sure MJ is happy he's not out long.
  11. That 7 year stuff don't bother me. We only been in the area a few years. I pull for WC because my kids go there.
  12. Overhyped? WC has been picked to lose every game. Some even picked Antioch. MJ and Siegel are both 0-3 and everyone says they're better than WC, how can you say overhyped? I believe I'm the only one picking WC this week. I still think 2-1 is a better record than 0-3.
  13. The other two, backs have played great. When he's on the field it just gives the team one more threat to deal with. He claims he's done what he needed to be back, guess we'll see Fri.
  14. WIlson Central is going to beat Siegel by at least 2 TD's. You all are blinded by mboro bias.
  15. Nothing against Siegel but the only way they beat WC is because of mistakes. WC was running with 2 good backs because the starting back from the last 2 years has been in the coaches doghouse. He has not had more than 2 carries in a game since getting hurt against Gallatin scrimmage game. On a different note, how common is it for a player to run, pass and receive TD's along with starting at safety, inside and outside LB all while in their varsity years at a 6A school? I am a basketball person and don't know enough about football to judge.
  16. I just love the respect for WC. Whether any one believes it or not they have the talent to win the district.
  17. WC has a new policy that if you have an F in a class one week you are put on notice. if you do not increase that grade the next week you miss the game. It was his first week with an F and the coach by not starting him was trying to make him see that they were serious. Since he didn't get the hint he will watch tonight in dress clothes.
  18. SC was close to Wc because #23 for WC had some grade issues with WC's new standards. He was held out of most of the plays and really only played when he was needed, as was on SC last extra point. Had he played all the downs on defense and been in to help run the ball WC would've won by 3 TD's. He had 15 yards on only two runs.
  19. I have an employee that plays for MJ. The players don't feel like the Gallatin game was a blowout. Some things happened early that was unexpected. The Cane Ridge game was the result of a QB having a really bad game. I don't get the impression from the young man that the players are as ready to give up on the season as the people on these message boards.
  20. It was a pretty bad leg injury but from the WC stands it looked scary. It was the kid that we had trouble catching all night.
  21. Any word on the kid from SC that hurt his leg? It didn't look good from the WC stands.
  22. How many games can a 6A school,win playing only 7 seniors?
  23. i've watched the Wilson Central video of both Napier and Mason. They are a little different but I believe at 100% Napier is the better of the two. Napier hits the line very quick and you better get him with the first tacklers or he's gone.
  24. Beech blocked the first punt of the game and took it into the endzone. Napier and Vanzant both played that helped keep WC offense off the field. It took our coaches 3 quarters to figure out they need Jordan Wilson and Bowes on the field at the same time.
