Well after about 2 years of Horton's lack of winning, they will be looking for another coach. He couldnt get the job done at Coffee and was losing players to other schools. This is a bad hire for MC, but great for Huntland. and the rest of their district. MC was going to be down with the drop off of losing that many seniors, but now, they will drop significantly more. Maybe the powers that be at MC will learn from this mistake.

Well, she will be if they make a physical move or gets granted a hardship by the TSSAA. I would think that if she was at Community last year, that she would have to move because that would be a long drive to make daily.

The rules have changed. Once you begin your high school career, you have to make a physical move closer to the school you are moving to. Even if it is just across the road or to a property next door, a move has to be made unless there are certain circumstances that the TSSAA has to approve. You can go anywhere in the state as an 8th grader with or without a move, but once you start and have an athletic record, a move must be made to be eligible in a certain sport.

That is very good advice and accurate as well. Unless there is some issue, you would have to make a physical move, even if it is just across the road, in order to change schools.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a rematch of Greenfield and Summertown again next year. Of course it depends on that stupid draw, but those 2 have a ton of young talent and should only get better as they go through the AAU season, their summer camps, and fall prep.

Who would that be? And if they are in the 'Boro, even as an assistant, they would probably be taking a pay cut to go there, not knocking Moore Co, , but they probably don't pay as well as the 'Boro. I think that there would be a lot to consider for that to happen.

And that's all that is from what I have been told, an ugly rumor. Why would you get rid of a coach that just won 20 games and has had increased success in the program every year without watering down the schedule to do it? That would make no sense to me.

She is not there because her family couldn't afford to move, but I would go out on a limb and say that it is because her mom has an elected position in Coffee Co., and moving out of county might hinder her from being able to keep that position and/or it might hurt her in any up coming elections. And yes, or at least that is what I had heard about the last hire that they made, a Nike Flight AAU coach that had coached her. I think she had the highest point per game average in the district this year and in my opinion was a much tougher player to guard than Holt at Shelbyville or Vinson from Coffee Co., but that is just my opinion.

Yes, but she is losing 7 or 8 seniors this year. They will have no other option than to be down next year from what they have been used to for the last 3 years or so. I see why she is trying to leave. But the Boro coaches are at the highest level of high school basketball in the state. With the exception of Smyrna, Lavergne, and Siegel; the others are where most coaches want to get to. Moore Co. has been similar in A ball, but with those kids leaving, it wont be the same.

Like who, they all had pretty solid years. Unless someone is retiring, why would one be open?

Dont sleep on Moore Co. They may have the best unknown point guard in the state, with size inside, and can flat out shoot it. The may sneak in and pull an upset in that first round.

Well it looks like the announcement for the Tullahoma job will have to wait a little bit longer if the plan is to hire Moore Co.'s coach.

Congrats to Moore Co. This bunch of girls has waited for this since that 8th grade season when they were all starting on varsity. Congrats on the trip to the 'Boro!

I got Summertown, Huntingdon, Moore Co., and Pickett Co in A ball. I like Huntland, but thats a tall order to go to Byrdstown and try to steal one. in AA, Upperman, Macon Co., AAA Lebanon, Riverdale, Houston, and Bradley Central.

Why, where is he going?

Well first off, why would Rick come back to Shelbyville from MTSU where he is set? Second, he hasn't gotten alot of the Murfreesboro girls like everyone thought that he would. He has one maybe 2 on his roster right now, and I believe he is getting the twins from Riverdale this year. Other than that, he really hasn't gotten all of that talent. Now thats not to say that Tom and Nike Flight aren't the reason that so many of those kids are in Murfreesboro now, but Rick isn't pulling them in like you would think.

They did and he was fired/released in Sept. I think. They had a guy that stepped in and coached for them this year was a former and retired coach. Yes, Southern is from Franklin Co., and I could understand her possibly wanting to go back there, but there isn't an opening there as far as I know and it wouldn't really be something I would expect to be open with the year they had this year going 20-10. Why would anyone think that spot at FC would be open? He is returning a lot of those kids I think and after this year, why would he leave there?

This district tournament should be interesting to watch. I think anyone can beat anyone else on any given night. Should be a good one, good luck FC!

Nope, not a coach, just a friend of a coach that was FALSELY accused by idiots up there because their kid wasn't any good and didn't get the playing time that their parents thought that they should. I do think it's a hoax because I have heard that there was no body fluids found on the object that was used. Its funny that if this wasnt a hoax, then why did these guys go eat breakfast together that morning after it happened? Now if you have ever wanted torture your self and have ever watched one of those board meetings you would know that they have been after Tate, Helton, and Kinsey for over a year now. That what all of this boils down too and it wouldn't surprise me that they were found not guilty when this is all over with. Remember, this is Grundy Co. and they aren't below doing something like this to try and get their way.

Yes, that FALSE accusation was made and Shrum made it before he even checked with the book keeper at the school, because if he would have he would have found that there was no money missing. Now the bad thing is that there was also no retraction on that story or did Shrum, the scum bag, come out and admit that there wasn't. The coach was never charged and was even brought back to teach there this year. Teachers don't get to keep their job if they have stolen money. Shrum is a joke and doesn't have the common decency to admit that he and made a false accusation and to make sure that everyone knows that Coach Shedd didn't do anything wrong. There was no need for anything to be swept under a rug in that case.

Totally agree and wouldn't be surprised if this turns out to be a hoax in an effort to get rid of the coach and the principal. They have been after the director up there for over a year. From what I have seen some of the people and board up there would go to no end to get rid of them, even this is not past some of them.

That sheriff is a JOKE, way more than anyone else up there. He loves the spotlight and to hear himself talk. He talks about cases even before he has an ounce of evidence. I wouldn't believe a word that idiot says. It sounds like those 2 boys were suspended for that just as I had heard that Coach Brewer was suspended because he saw kids down there the day before and he didn't say anything. The coach shouldn't be blamed when those kids were their in that building without permission, or at least that was what I have heard.
