  1. Love the QB we've got but also would like to see a more balanced approach. Haven't seen a lot of CAK football, but getting to watch most the games last year I was impressed by 5, who I understand is a freshman, and 21 did a good job catching the ball out of the backfield when given the chance. I think you're right that those 2 will give us a good chance at a really balanced run attack next year
  2. So since you seem to be the person who knows the most, what is your gut feeling as to who our new coach will be? A defensive guy makes sense since our offense is so good but maybe the offensive coordinator from Kennesaw might be good to give our kids a fresh start? Your thoughts and/or gut feeling would be great. Go Warriors!
  3. What is happening at Grace that their 2 best MS players are transferring out to another local private? I understand why their best player did it last year but this seems odd. Also heard one of them is ineligible next year after repeating 8th grade and playing again.
  4. With respect to his current job, I'd prefer to leave his name out. I will say that it's a local guy whose name I haven't seen thrown around in this forum. Defensive minded coach with an emphasis on the weightroom. The players will definitely become stronger and tougher under this man. Again, it's all rumors and "things I'm hearing" so take it for what it's worth, but where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
  5. Wow, I truly can't believe what I'm hearing out of CAK. If this ends up happening, it'll be quite the interesting season moving forward.
  6. Rumor has it that Witten was on campus today tifwiw
  7. CAK coach Rusty Bradley will be USJ's new football coach
  8. Looking forward to hoops! Rumor has it that one of CAK's top players has quit the team. Will be interesting to see how this affects our program this season!
  9. Had forgotten about 21 getting reps last night until you alluded to it. As a grizzled old veteran of the trenches, it's easy for me to identify why 78 didn't play last night. 9 will be a really good player if he continues to put weight on and retain his speed. One thing that might be the case is 21 is considered a better blocker than 9? It seemed pretty obvious that 31 was moved back for blocking purposes, so it's entirely possible that was the reasoning there too. You all have seen these boys more than I have though so I could be way off base.
  10. I know I'm new to observing the team but it's my opinion that 5, 9, and 78 are all going to be big time players, but none were quite ready for a game of that magnitude. Next year, all will play pivotal roles in the Warrior success.
  11. No more Bread of Heaven buffet was a truly sad moment in my life. Lots of fond memories taking my grandparents to eat there. Wouldn't hate to have 1 more "all you can eat" trip down that line!
  12. If you went to watch CAK, how can you give a first hand account of the Ensworth/CPA game? Weren't those games played on the same night? At this point, you're just being argumentative for arguments sake. Face facts, CPA isn't as good as they were last year (when, if you're going to cite injuries for losing that Ensworth game that you somehow also attended, Alcoa never loses to CPA without injuries to 2 of their 3 best offensive threats) and will not beat Alcoa, or even CAK for that matter, when the state title game comes.
  13. I do appreciate you trying to teach me a lesson with your wit but when you tell someone their list is incorrect because they don't have your team at #1, that's not discussion, that's being a Richard. Have you actually seen Alcoa or CAK play? Or are you just saying you have. When have you had the time to travel to Knox area and seen both of those teams play? if you want discussion, CoachT is the absolute best place for it, but what you're doing isn't discussion, Richard.
  14. They dress 752 kids?! Man, can't imagine what that dog fight over a specific jersey number is each year.... Also, stop getting your panties in a wad over subjective rankings... CPA's schedule looked unbelievable in the preseason but at this point, no one not wearing purple and gold is impressed by beating bad teams, barely in some cases and even losing to maybe the worst Ensworth team in 10 years. Is CPA one of the 3 best teams in the state in 3A? Absolutely. But color me more impressed by Alcoa at this point in the season than CPA.
  15. Is this Central or County? I think we're playing Central
