No the DC is the head coach. They’re going to keep him because they think he’s worth a darn because he played in the NFL. Grundy AD is to stupid to realize that doesn’t make him a good coach. 0-10 with 19 straight losses and they want to keep him. Grundy jr jackets 0-7 and the freshman team 0-7 with the varsity 0-10 and the say wait until next year. Who in their right mind would play for him. With the new rules if had a player worth anything in Grundy I’d take them to Dunlap or Jasper. At least the kids will get to eat after games and treated better by the coaches. All they have in Grundy is a bum coach, AD, and no assistant coaches with a half of a brain. How can a coach teach a 3 point stance when he’s to fat to get i one his self? Kids will follow someone who leads by example instead of a loud mouth moron.

Good luck tonight jackets, because we all know that Grundy has zero coaching. I’m not calling them coaches. I’m going to call them bums. The head bum is the 3rd highest paid person in Grundy with an outstanding record of 1-19 with 19 straight losses. To the fat AD please hire him to a 10yr extension. Our offensive bums only have one impressive stat. They weight a combined 600 pounds because they can’t coach that’s for sure. Grundy county kids haven’t got to eat after a game in two years even though they travel two hours to Upperman and smith county for example. They feed them at 1in the afternoon and don’t even buy them drinks they have to wait until they get home which is around nine or 10 hours Since they last ate. I call that child abuse. FYI AJ the idiot in the booth before and during half time goes in the stands and starts telling the fans that the coaches are making good calls but the kids just don’t execute. That’s how much brain power that bum has. Dunlap and Jasper should get ready for some good players transferring, because I know of 3 that’s not coming back next year. The head bum is only worried about himself and all you have to do is ask the kids. All that bum does is praise himself for his accomplishments and they’re so sick of it. Grundy has kicked kids off the team for missing practice, but one kid has quit 3 times and hasn’t practiced in a month and started last week and this week. I’m not going to mention the kids name because he a minor it’s the bums fault for letting this go. Last week not one coach took the senior walk, but Virgil and he’s the trainer. Who would wanna play with that? Evan has one more game and he’s done. He’s played last week and this week with a torn MCL. Not one Grundy coach called to check on him, but 3 from Dunlap and I think 2 from jasper called to check on him and it hurt his feelings because he’s put his health and military career in jeopardy for this team. He told me I wanna take this beating with my team and it’s not right to stay on the sidelines hurt. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about Grundy football ever again and I hope they keep this bum staff together. Jr jackets zero wins in two seasons and the high school 1 win in two seasons. Grundy here is some free advice; copy Dunlap, south Pitt, Upperman,smith, or Marion county. They all seem to have a good thing going so maybe you could learn something. All Grundy wants todo fight with each other. I can’t wait until tonight and see the brilliant game plan the bum staff has put together. You morons don’t deserve to be around kids much less coaching them. Great job on firing the one coach that held the team together. Next year when he’s somewhere else I told him to put 100 on Grundy and cheer him on while he does. I’m out

Nick Meeks kept Grundy from being shut down and the basketball team and you dummies forgot that at some point. Those kids love Nick. Nick, Virgil, and Bryan and they to good for that team. I hope they sign this idiot coach to a 5 year extension because Grundy deserves this fool. I know some of the staff on smith county. Smith county coaches and staff have always been respectful and I admire the way the coaches run their program. The rso officer is a great guy. My family lives in Cookeville I was only 9 min from Baxter so i know more people from that way more than Grundy.

I agree 100% Coach Caine is a great coach and even better person. I’m only speaking from my experience, but he said good things about my boy’s and I appreciate that. Class act all the way on the Upperman bees

Yes sir he’s number #2 and the Upperman staff took care of him and made me and him feel we were part of the Upperman family. I can never say thank you enough to the Upperman staff, and doctor. You guys definitely have a great thing going on and I wish nothing but the best for you guys.

I would like to say thank you to the upperman staff. My son got hurt tonight and the trainer and doctor took my son in their locker room and checked him out. I can’t say enough about the Upperman fans, principal, and coaching staff. Hands down one the classiest group of people I’ve ever been around. I hope you guys go all the way this year, and again thank you for taking care of my son.

South Pitt will win by as many as they want. I know it’s not good looking ahead but I think the pirates won’t be challenged until the third of fourth round of the playoffs. Evan said they were a tough team. He was beat up pretty good last weekend. He also said he had fun playing against a high caliber team like the pirates.

Upperman should win, but Smith is a good discipline team and won’t beat themselves. Definitely had the the two Classiest coaches you’ll find anywhere from my experience with them.

I've always been brutally honest, and never cared who I make mad so here we go! I WAS WRONG! BRING CASEY TATE BACK! 4 more games and this season is over and if Evan wants to play somewhere else he can.play calling sucks, what a joke! Another reminder why I hate Grundy County. Call Mr mystic Nunley. I said 3-7 last year and 2-8 this year. Not taking anything from cannon county they looked awesome tonight. We got out coached and that's the bottom line.

I can promise you one thing. York was exactly as I remembered. Trashy classless red necks who like to talk until I got in ones face. I hope they never win a game in another sport. The guy doing play by play was horrible and I didn’t think anyone could suck as bad as Grundys

I hope win or lose this week Grundy plays hard and don't turn the ball over. If we do the little things right we should win this game. The second thing is I wish they'd cut prayer out of sporting events. Leave that junk at church where it belongs.

On a lighter note I started back training so I could lose weight because 236 was to heavy for me I felt. So I started gou to the gym with the boys and I was only doing half the sets with lighter weight and they about killed me. I'm 208 right now only 8 pounds heavier than I was at 17 years old. I’ve been doing intermittent fasting for my diet and just trying to keep up with the boys is my workout and then some.

Honestly I don't care about the coach I hope they get the baseball coach because his so is a Savage in football and I think he's just a freshman

Ethan is a hard worker and one of the toughest kids on the field. The past three years when we've finished the season against Smith county and two game being in Smith county we get home around midnight and Ethan had got up at 5 a.m. and drove to Cookeville to run a 5K that he finished in 18 minutes. We kept it quiet but the boys were going to Dunlap. Ethan was ready to move on, but me, my father, and Jensen had a talk with them at one point, but the only thing I said to him is give the new Coach a chance because he may end up being their favorite coach ever. They were very up VVset about coach Smith leaving. One practice with the new coach and they loved him. I've never seen them this relaxed and focused while having fun on top of that. I don't care it Grundy wins a game this year as long as they're happy. The past two years were horrible. When you have assistance coaches calling you apologizing saying It's not right treating them like he did. I have to give credit where it's due. This all started with coach Smith and I thank him for that, and so far the new guys Are getting a lot of praise from the players.

I'll agree to that. A lady approached me last year and seemed genuinely happy to see there. She ask about the boys and before she walked off she told me to bring them to Jasper and I bet they'll get treated fairly. I don't know the lady but I thought it was nice of her to say those things when she didn't have to.

I hadn't talked to Coffelt about how the warriors Will do this year. Do they have the weapons to get past Tyner and South Pitt? I hope so I love watching the SVC do well

I've talked to a few referees that called the pirates scrimmages and they said basically the same thing. The defense is nasty and the line on both sides are aggressive. Best of luck to the pirates and I hope this is the year you guys are playing for a championship. I have a senior this so I can't come watch like I did last year, but first chance I definitely will. I agree and I hope you're right. When the other kids see the players having fun hopefully they'll want to see for themselves. Even when I coached I never heard them say they liked practice, and my youngest son said he likes everything they're doing so far. It's definitely a plus when the kids are having fun and not treating it like a job.

I agree with everything you said. If they leave this coach alone and let him do his thing kids will start coming out. The my boys talk about him if I didn't play it would make me curious to see see what the hype is about. Last couple years the kids weren't excited about football. It seems they are now and I hope this guy does well and I believe he will if people leave him alone. The big plus is he doesn't know anyone so he'll play his best 11 no matter who they are
