I went to practice to watch the Eagles final prep for this game. When practice was over, we went to lunch, and I told some of our boys how some folks on the T were picking DA to win. Oh man, was that a mistake! They proceeded to tear that place apart. One of our linemen was drooling at the mouth, another one slammed his fist and broke the table in half. One of our linebackers got in his truck and headed to east TN where he chased down a bear, killed it with his bare hands and then fed it to our Eagle mascot! Very scary stuff!!

Coaching decisions at NCS leave me shaking my head. We have won some big games in the past despite, not because of coaching.

In private school sports programs, you are always one bad hire away from disaster. All of the publics picked on the privates for recruiting. The thing the publics dont realize is how difficult it is to keep and maintain a private school program. Publics have little to worry about when it comes to losing players to other schools. Yes, I know it happens, but not at the rate it can happen to privates. It appears that Lipscomb has fallen victim to this very thing. All you have to do is look at Ezell Harding and what has happend there in the last few years and you get the picture. I would think CPA has taken a lot from the mid-size private pool.

In the history of UT football, 22 tackles or more in a game by a player has been achieved just ten times. Bituli had 23 and a forced fumble which led to a TD on Saturday night. People on the T laughed at me a couple of years ago when I said he would only be at UT for three years. I still say that.

This is a young team. Best player is a junior and there is another super underclass player to be eligible soon. This Watson gal is a freshman and might be one of the best in the state soon if she keeps working.

Same here. My son and nephew are seniors, so it was their last time. WC looks really good, and Im sure Coach Rice will have them ready to run for that gold ball this year. I think it's safe to say that we are all rootin for y'all.

Our boys will be facing a mighty hungry and worthy opponent this week. We will have to scrap and fight for every yard. I hear they have good size, speed and leadership. If we play well and make no mistakes we will have a chance for a win. The Columbia Academy boys are well coached and will flat hit us in the mouth. Hopefully our boys have had a good week of practice, and hopefully the coaches have a flawless game plan to stop this powerful team. This will be a tough fought game from the kick off till the end, and a great early test for the Eagles.

Backpedalling? I said then, I'll say now, I don't think CPA was very impressive. You know there are teams who are good, and I guess when their fans talk about it, it comes across abrasive to some. Hahaha! Booger, this poster always has trouble staying on topic. Another one of his favorite things to do on here is try to turn a football topic into something to do with girl's basketball, softball, tiddlywinks, badminton, etc.

Sometimes it is hard to see what a team really has especially in a scrimmage. I know coaches sometimes have an objective other than what fans want or expect to see. Could be the case here.

All I can say here is what you already know; that he did transfer. As far as details, the decision to share anything more should be left to young Mr. Wilhoite. Hopefully all other NCS posters will respect Lelan on this matter.
