  1. Oh, and I am assuming you meant to have a comment about CPA because afterall, that is who this thread is about.
  2. Called it the way I saw it. We will be thrilled to see a passing offense.
  3. Hahaha! What a pompous bunch! We catch them first game of the year.
  4. Booger, I understand you just fine as well. Im just havin some fun on here. You are right. If it were divided up anymore there would be no one to interact with.
  5. We had several games last year that were 4 - 5 hours round trip. We travel twice this year to Memphis. Those will be 7 -8 round trip.
  6. Yeah, but neither you or Booger have seen Billy Madison.
  7. What you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
  8. Yeah, it is hard to read into a lot this time of the year. The CPA line is huge.
  9. Wow! The D2 threads are cold as ice! We sure miss crackin' on y'all and gettin slammed back! Not much talkin goin on on the sweater vest boards. All you have to do is look at the number of posts and it is clear that 1A and 2A lead by a few hundred thousand. I've done some thinkin, and I think it boils down to the D2 folks think they are a classier bunch. Well, being a public school kinda guy stuck in a private school league, Im gonna do my best to trash the whole board up a little. No profanity of course, but my goodness it is awfully hotty toddy over there. I invite all you John Wayne County, Huntingdon, Union City, SP, Greenback folks to come over and bring some Dollar Store and Wal Mart attitude to this Neiman Marcus crowd. Tell ya momma and them ole carguy says hi. Love ya, mean it!
  10. Sometimes I wonder about ole Murphy. In the front of the book he refers to Billy Graham as the "late Billy Graham." Unless he passed very recently, Rev. Billy Graham is currently living.
  11. Looking forward to seeing all you good Wayne Co. folks at our place (NCS) on August 11.
  12. Now that's some funny stuff right there!
  13. In the 7 on 7 I didn't see many athletes. In the scrimmage, I saw some big boys up front, but no one to carry the rock. NCS starters didn't meet much resistance from the D.
  14. C'mon people! We (NCS) are new to D2, and I can't believe how little activity there is from y'all on this board. Bunch of sweater vest wearing snobs!!
  15. I assume this is sarcasm? Im sure they will think long and hard on it. Thats why we have a good team. No doubt they will put much more effort with much better knowledge about the players' abilities and limitations than we have, but hey, we are going to talk about it. That's why we come here right? Otherwise, what are you going to talk about?
  16. I dont see Parish as having the speed to play outside. He had an outstanding year in the middle. Led the team in tackles, or close to it. He's only going to get better. Can you imagine that kid as a senior? He is someone I would love to see on the offensive line as well. I think 9 could play anywhere in the defensive backfield as well as a linebacker position. I think losing Sully is a bigger position to fill. That's not taking anything away from Slater at all. We simply have more players who could play at saftey is my reason for thinking it. It's fun to play off-season coach!!
  17. Wouldn't Clarksville be more of a mid state area than Cookeville? Cookeville has a direct link with I-40, Chattanooga and Clarksville have a direct link with I-24 and Chattanooga also has a direct link with I-75. If coming from West Tenn. I'm guessing their is a problem with a direct link to Clarksville. Yes, Clarksville is more mid state than Cookeville. How is there a problem coming from Memphis? You hop on 24 and you are there in 45 mins. Otherwise, you have an hour and 45 with no traffic, probably more like 2.5 hours to get to Cookeville.
  18. Next year's team will be run heavy. The QB position will be interesting to see. Will Kinnard get the nod? If so will he be throwing much? Though small, he is a tough, smart kid and knows the offense. I think it would be interesting to see a little wildcat action as well. Backs are second to none. Line will do nothing but get bigger, stronger and better. Defense, just like always will be our meal ticket. Lawless, Jack and Joseph will be hard to move. We have size and speed in the linebacking corps. Parrish is a beast in the middle. Willhoite and Watson are fast and aggressive. Sid and Will are going to need to step in and start or give a lot of mins. They are ready I believe due to lots of playing time this year. We have to solve Sully's departure. The secondary will be a work in progress with the question being at free safety There are rising juniors who can step up and get quality playing time. This number 9 I think will find his way onto the field. Ive seen him play at LB and I wonder if he could step into Slater's free safety role. This should be a great year. There are players hurting and some surgery on the way, but there is time to heal. Go get that gold ball Eagles!!! Sitting at home watching it almost made me sick!
  19. So you obviously have an axe to grind with someone. Too bad you cant just let it go and appreciate the man. So what if he leaves before you think he ought to. He was a big part of Dresden winning a championship. You could have won it? I bet you dont have a clue about coaching a team. Keeping kids motivated in the off season to work out, Making sure they are doing well in class, Keeping a kids mind on his team when his home life might not be going well, encouraging them to stay on the right path and steer clear of trouble, Encouraging a kid when he's down, keeping them humble when their heads get too big. Oh, and they also do the stuff that everyone knows more than them about like evaluating talent, putting together offenses and defenses, special teams, etc. Then there is the thousands of hours of game film. No one knows a thing about coaching except coaches. So give the man his due!! BTW, that second half blowout...THAT WAS COACHING! Dresden coaches went in at half and came out with the answer. Stick to golf!!
  20. You have always been pretty objective Bass. The whole west domination might be coming to an end soon. Im sure SP is on the rise.
  21. Hahaha! All this crap about telling a team who mercy ruled you being the better team TODAY!!! Funny funny stuff! Just as last year, GB is not the second best team in the state. That would be Wayne County. West TN football just has too much speed ALL over the field. They are also better coached.
  22. Ballgame! Im just gonna call it right now. 50 will start playing dirty now.
