  1. That was my point I tried to state earlier: They seemed able to compete more early in the season before the changes the last half of the season. Getting shut out by 2 below average teams is not a good look. I am not really familiar with the situation, just looking at the numbers on their schedule. I hope the best for the kids. Tough jobs in all of Cheatham County.
  2. Are they not letting Coach Daniel come back to his original spot in the school system? Not sure they were better when the coaching additions/subtractions happened. They were shut out in a couple of games by bad teams the 2nd half of the season, but they did give up fewer points down the stretch. East Hickman was bad and scoring only 20 against them is not better. But, it was a tough situation for everyone involved.

I have to be honest, I had no clue Summertown was even looking for a new Head Coach

    Siegel

    Looks like Doppelgänger called it
  5. If they don't want Quinn, that is all the more reason to go after Wade. I don't think Wade is scared to walk into the interview and tell GPS exactly what he wants and needs to succeed. GPS will either give in or look elsewhere. I tend to think GPS will do whatever it takes to get football back on track.
  6. It didn't take Belew a year to figure it out. He probably realized it July 22 when the students reported for 1st day of school. At that point, he had to stay until Monday, November 4. Also, I'm sure his Dad was telling him he was an idiot for taking the job in the 1st place. But, young coaches sometimes have to find out the hard way.
  7. Valid Point. If I remember correctly, at one time TSSAA had Cookeville traveling down 111 through Sequatchie Valley to get to Ooltewah, Bradley County, Soddy Daisy, Cleveland for region games. ALso Cumberland County before Stone Memorial came along. I don't see that scenario happening again. If they put Cookeville, Warren County and Coffee County together, I can see White County jumping back into region play.
  8. Putting the Rutherford County schools together and the Williamson County schools together would make too much sense........therefore it will not happen. RuCo: Oakland, Riverdale, Smyrna, LaVergne, Stewart's Creek, Blackman, Siegel, Rockvale WilCo: Brentwood, Ravenwood, Franklin, Centennial, Indy, Summit & Nolensville (if they move up) Speaking of RuCo: Who is going to get the Siegel job?
  9. Not sure why this job is taking so long to fill. Unless they have their eyes set on someone still participating in games. Goodpasture is a great job. I believe they have played in the Big Dance 9 times while winning 3? Someone can correct me if I am wrong. Pretty enticing gig, especially now that Private schools can pluck kids away now. .
  10. Thank you! Way off course. Go from a coaching search to a battle of PA announcers. SMH
  11. I guess I missed something. I thought NCS was at full strength v USJ.

    Siegel

If Siegel offers him the job, he will take it. Centennial is in the area of Williamson County with no growth. They are landlocked. All the growth is outward toward other Williamson schools. No one is moving into Centennial zone. He realizes this.
  13. Maybe I'm wrong. I haven't looked back in posts on CoachT, but it seems like I remember people talking about NCS having a bunch of transfers that came in late last year or maybe this summer. Maybe I am way off base. Supposedly great athletes. Again, they had a great year. Not sure that would be considered pot stirring either.
  14. While NCS had a great year, I am sure there is major disappointment in not winning it all with all the transfers that became eligible this year. A lot of potential college players playing against the smallest division in the State of TN, I can see why NCS fan base thought winning it all was expected in 2019.
  15. I am hearing from some reliable sources that the 5 class plan is gaining some momentum. I know another thread addressed this issue a couple of weeks ago, but I am starting a new thread to hear thoughts and opinions. How will that affect the teams that are teetering on the high/low side of enrollment for each class?

  17. I sense your “lol” is saying people are crazy to think Wade would leave DCA? Since you are probably a former player of his, you already know that he always puts himself in the best position to be successful. Somehow he has been able to pull it off. The move to Goodpasture will be no different. He is a Madison guy. Goodpasture is tradition rich. They will pay him probably double what he makes at DCA. Will probably have better resources at Goodpasture as well. He has quickly turned it around at DCA. They are solid. Very good on defense. Very young as Weill from what I understand. If he stays at DCA, they will probably continue to be solid, especially at the lowest level of DII.
