  1. Give you a break on what? Facts? The refs were horrible in both games Upperman was apart of. East game if anyone touch Levy it was a foul. PC game down the stretch officials were terrible. It was blatant and obvious that calls went Uppermans way this tournament. Those are facts, I'm sure you saw the games. Don't be bias, but do be real with yourself. I'm not taken anything away from Upperman, that took advantage of all their opportunities to win the championship. Kudos, but officials had a huge impact on games. PC had every opportunity to win and should have if they make free throws. You're right, but calls were lopsided in Uppermans favor.
  2. TSSAA Officials are terrible! They had a major impact on Uppermans run. Levy is player! She dominated the entire tournament. Congrats to Upperman the calls fell their way to say the least.
  3. Big day tomorrow for the city of Nashville. Good luck to EN & PC.
  4. Upperman can't handle the presser. East will win if Overton stays out of foul trouble.
  5. Pearl-Cohn has the easiest road to the championship game. Not sure how they'll play at 10am
  6. .....and now there's 8! Congrats to all the teams who made it to "Murfreesboro in March"! This is probably the best class in the tournament this year. Here are the 8 teams looking to capture the gold Any thoughts or predictions? East Nashville (defending champs) Fulton Gatlinburg-Pittman Jackson South Side Macon County Pearl-Cohn Upperman (defending runners-up) Westview
  7. That's true. Hate to drive across the world for a good inter city game. PC & EN has a bunch of talented girls that will play collegiate ball. PC has always be talented. 10AA has been special the past 3 years. Hopefully 1 of these 2 teams win state & keep the gold ball right here in the city. Should be a good one tomorrow. I'm pulling for the city of Nashville
  8. Pearl Cohn vs East lit... Like we all expected. Should be a good one. Who wins the region 5 wednesday?
  9. During the Region tournaments do you get officials from collective areas, or just local refs?
  10. Was at that game lastnight. PC is very talented and handled East much of the whole game. Wish East was at full strength ( missing senior PG and state MVP Kia Upton). East is young but confident. PC has a good chance at winning the state. But doesn't have any bench. This could be 3 straight years a 10AA time could win it all
  11. Pearl-Cohn or East Nashville for me. 10AA has produced back-to-back AA champs. (2015-MLK; 2016-East Nash.) These two teams have a good chance to make a deep run in Class AA
  12. I respect your opinion, but I can't agree with you. Let's give credit where it's due. Haynes-Overton is the best player in AA.
  13. Erica Haynes-Overton (East Nashville Magnet) She's defiantly has to be the favorite for AA. Hands down. There's no comparison. Her numbers alone should be an indication, she almost averages a triple-double. Miss/Mr. Basketball winners should be based on numbers - not politics.
  14. PC: I can see your reasoning. Very talent and has a high potential. They 3-4 players with D1 offers. Just can't seem to win the ones that count.
  15. All of these players will play D1 basketball.. All of these players have multiple offers, they will all be great. AA has the best outside of Riverdale.
  16. The Levy kid is VERY talented and will play D1 basketball. Not taken anything away from her. She's is not the best player in AA. There is kid named Erica Haynes-Overton from East Nashville that average 20pts 11rebs and 8stls (official stats - look it up) last season and was short changed Miss Basketball basically because she at a metro school... Also, Upton from East that clearly outplayed her in the title game. PC has two guards that are better then her (imo) Shawnta Shaw & Janiah Sandifer. Upperman will be 3rd place team in 10AA. They have a hard time dealing with strong, fast, and athletic players. PC & EN have both I am metro bias, but Upperman fans can't keep claiming to the be best if they haven't really proven anything.
  17. Quite a few. Oakland isn't as strong as the past years. They are 3rd or 4th in that district. 1. Riverdale 2. Stewarts Creek 3. Smyrna, Blackman, or Oakland (toss up for 3rd) Upperman has a great team, but a 18 point win doesn't crown them the best in AA. If it was a win over Riverdale/Stewarts Creek then okay, but Oakland. Na.
  18. I know they control a lot, if not all of Tennessee girls basketball - far as rankings, offers, and exposure. Not taken away from the players on the list, but there is no reason at all Upton shouldn't be on this. She's better than the majority of those players.
  19. How do you leave the Class AA State MVP off the list, Kaia Upton. She's easily the top PG in the state... They can't be serious.
  20. East Nashville and Pearl Cohn are two of the best teams in AA and are also in the same district. They both have multiple girls that will play at the next level. 3 of 5 starters for PC have D1 offers. Won't be surprised if they are both in Murfreesboro, if the teams remain healthy. 10AA has won consecutive state titles, fyi (MLK '15 - East '16)
  21. WACG summer program is basically running Lighthouse Christian Academy. What a shame.
  22. Just a random thought..... Example: Riverdale, Brentwood Academy (or Northport), South Greene, and East Nashville to play in a four team bracket formation to begin the season on a Saturday. It will be pretty awesome if someone held a tournament of all the recent TSSAA state champs throughout the state. They never will see each other throughout the season... So why not have a few good quality - measuring stick basketball games to kick off the new season....
