We scrimmaged Mitchell Co., NC and Watauga, NC in 2009 when I was a junior. 2014 - We scrimmaged West Lincoln, McDowell, Avery, and Happy Valley in a gauntlet scrimmage at Avery... West Lincoln was the only team that give us trouble then.

The Horns have a great team and I’m not putting them down, but don’t bash us. We are the only loss you guys have because we came ready to play.. if we’d learn to control the ball and not have silly turnovers we wouldn’t be 4-5 but that’s neither here nor there. Good luck against Unicoi this week and on into the playoffs.

You mad bro? We pretty much run over you buddy and did whatever we wanted to... you all have athletes all over the field and we stopped you all from doing what you do. You had some good drives there but then there were some “luck” plays you all had. You must not have watched the same game as I did. Please try to stay relevant. And please tell me exactly who all you have played this year? You guys played any bigger schools? (With the exception of Cloudland beating themselves?) Did you have Crockett and Gatlinburg?.. Oh wait. North Greene? Sullivan East? Sullivan Central? Chuckey Doak? Claiborne? West Greene? Don’t give me the 4-5 deal.

This game showed me it’s all about who shows up to play. We showed up and done what we wanted to at JC. Go to Cland, lay down and turn the ball over and Cland gets us. JC goes to Cland and JC takes the “W”. Football is a weird game and a cruel game sometimes, but that’s why we all love it.

As I stated earlier this week, please keep the Andrews family in your prayers. Logan passed away this morning.

Please remember the Andrews family in your thoughts and prayers. Logan Andrews is a friend I grew up with and played ball with all through youth club to high school. They placed him on the ventilator last night due to a bad heart valve. Its hard seeing someone you grew up with go through something like that at such a young age.

Unicoi is coming along, I think they are a year or two away from making some noise. They have athletes all over the place but they are young like us. When we scrimmage them we did what we wanted, in all truth and honesty.

We will be just fine this Friday. We have men to fill the spots of the injured as well. Should be worth the price of admission.

Can’t wait for both, and war it shall be.

This weekend at the TriPride party and parade (for those that enjoy that kinda thing), in the heart of Johnson City, you can see that King made his bold entrance onto the front page of the Johnson City Press. King Simmons everyone.

May be out of our league in the rest of the games we play this season, but I promise they’ll know who they’ve played when the final buzzer sounds. We like being the under dog.

Like I say every week. Discipline and execution will be the deciding factor. Crockett HC and I played against each other back in the day. He’s done a good job with those boys so far this year.
