  1. Good luck to both teams. Should be a great game.
  2. Good luck Cornersville. From one Bulldog fan to another ...... Sic' em.
  3. It's game day! Ready to rumble! Travel safe UC. Good luck to both teams and hoping for an injury free night. DAWGS!
  4. If I could ever get a picture to load on the message board, I think you would agree from the 2 I have it was not roughing. Someday, I will figure it out again. I hate that he got hurt and had to leave the game, but Im not convinced the outcome would have been any different.
  5. That's the plan! Should be a good game. UC has always been tough.
  6. Taking photos for the team this year really provides a different perspective from being up in the stands. At times, I am as close as the refs, for instance in the end zone. I knew things were starting to swing our way last Friday night when I was in the end zone shooting one of CA's drives. Waverly's nose #77 was taking a pounding (giving too!) but I noticed how slow he was getting up off the ground. He was absolutely worn out. I noticed several others weren't talking a whole lot and moving slow. To their credit, I didn't hear Waverly's players fussing at each other like I have heard from other teams. Not encouragement but fussing. When I hear that I know things are going our way and frustration is setting in. Glad to read that Waverly's QB is ok. He'll be back. I look for him to do big things next year too.
  7. I took 902 pictures. Only posted 55.....There are some really good pictures in mix.
  8. Seen the film..... it will be ground and pound Friday night!!!
  9. Just reminiscing. How's the Waverly QB??? Hopefully, no concussion in addition to the neck injury.
  10. And I wasn't trying to be smart. The offense has evolved over the season. It's not the same now as it was in the beginning AND EVERY play is key. Some might hear their name called more often but this team shares the glory.
  11. Keep us updated on your QB. Hopefully nothing serious.
  12. I believe that CA took out two of them. I still believe that the QB from Waverly will win the honor.
  13. We run our whatever it takes offense and EVERY player is key!
  14. You would be surprised at how many moms and dads struggle to put their kids at CA. It's not to be in a preppy school, but they want them in a school where it is ok to say the pledge, stand for the National Anthem, pray before a football game, and where it is ok to acknowledge there is a God. CA is a close knit family atmosphere. If my kid gets hurt, I know there are 10 other moms and dads that may be there to help before I could get there. I had always told my wife I would work two jobs if I had to just to put my kids there.
  15. Thank you. It started several years ago with the youth football league. It has paid dividends for our program
  16. How many people do you know that want to come to little ole' Columbia? NC, Brentwood and Goodpasture draw from Davidson (over a million people and surrounding counties) I dare say CA pulls from Maury Co and an occasional from Lewis or Marshall maybe.
  17. I think some were predicting 50+ points tonight. Sorry we disappointed you and only scored 47! Now, that's the only zinger I'll throw. Congrats again to Waverly on a great season.
  18. Can I just say this, we don't recruit. You didn't believe anything all week long about CA but believe this.
  19. Duh! What type of side item with that crow sir?? I will admit it was hard to sit here all week and look at the smack and trash that was being handed down to CA. I know a lot of it was in jest, however, I really do believe you all thought it would be a run away for Waverly. Those of us around the CA program new different. I wasn't going to predict a score or a winner because I knew it would be a tough game. I of course was pulling for CA. There is something special about this team. I said that early on a forum. There is such a desire to win. Congrats to Waverly. You 've had an outstanding year. Don't hang your heads. I stated earlier someone was going to leave disappointed. I think it came down to who wanted it more. I sincerely hope your QB is ok. I am sure we will see a lot of him next year. Good luck in the Mr. Football finalist. Personally, I think he has it.
  20. 5 years as head coach. 5 years regional champs. 5 years quarterfinals, 1 semi final. 55-7 record. Not too shabby. Our youth football program started several years ago has helped our program tremendously and Coach came on as those 1st guys were entering high school. Unfortunately, someone is going to be disappointed and won't be moving on. Both teams should be proud. There are a lot of others at home this Friday night just wishing there were in the quarterfinals.
  21. I didn't crow about any predictions, yall did. I'll make sure there s a big one available for yall to gnaw on for the ride back if you need it.
  22. I do too. I don't want to see anyone hurt. I used to really cheer when an opposing player got his bell rung but I've had too many classes on concussions to do that any more. Good tough game, everyone come off the field healthy.
