  1. Doesn’t Sacharczyk wrestle for Blackman?
  2. Will you be uploading these after the show? I know the first couple episodes were, and I was able to go back and watch them. The last couple have not been as far as I know. I would love to go back and watch the others along with this weeks. I just can’t ever watch the live viewings with Sunday night church.
  3. There's been a lot of good discussions about 106. How are some of the other weight classes looking, and who are we thinking those favorites are? I know it might be early, but I'm curious where it is looking like kids are going to end up at. I'm sure a lot of kids have grown over the summer.
  4. Very unexpected. I thought he would be at Cleveland for a long time.
  5. Any notable individual results? It looked like there were some very interesting matchups based on the lineups that were posted.
  6. I was thinking the same thing. Regardless of how their past matchups went, Shrader won the latest match. He gets my vote until proven otherwise. The same thing with Palmer. I'd pick him over anyone but TJ. I think Hicks beat Simpson by like 10 points this season. It's like people are voting with their hearts instead of the actual results that happened this season. There are several other weights where the results were ignored besides the ones you mentioned. Walling has 67% of the votes, but Wesnofske has already beat Walling this season in an actual match 4-0. Bowers pinned Simpson, but Simpson got voted in. Rippy lost to Fowler. Fowler lost to Mathews in the same tournament. Yet Rippy got voted in over Mathews. I'm sure there are a lot more that way if I took the time to look through the brackets.
  7. Here's this year's middle school state champions. 70 - Caleb Uhorchuk (Buccaneer Wrestling Club) 75 - Hayden Bodo (Admirals) 80 - Keyveon Roller (Eagle Talon Wrestling) 85 - Brayden Ivy (Hammer Wrestling) 90 - Dayne Dalrymple (Wave Wrestling Club) 95 - Trey Bates (Beech Buccaneers) 100 - Trae McDaniel (Higher Calling) 105 - Jackson Bradford (Higher Calling) 110 - Braxton Mann (Seymour Eagles) 115 - Hunter Borders (Wildcat Wrestling) 120 - Jacob Stamper (Alcoa Tornadoes) 125 - Evan Anthony (Wave Wrestling) 130 - Mason Smith (Beech Buccaneers) 135 - Matheson Meade (Seymour Eagles Wrestling) 140 - Cael Laxton (Higher Calling Wrestling) 145 - Landon Lewis (Soddy Daisy Wrestling) 152 - Joseph Skidmore (Pigeon Forge Wrestling) 160 - David Dixon (Buccaneer Wrestling Club) 171 - Parker Bennett (Wildcat Wrestling) 189 - Grey Carroll (Alcoa Tornadoes) 220 - Trevor Linderman (Union County Youth Wrestling) 250 - Tydrell Mitchell (Tullahoma)
  8. I wouldn't change a thing unless you really wanted to. It might matter more if it was an actual tournament that was going to be wrestled. I was just trying to explain how I was thinking it was seeded. The one somewhat easy thing that could possibly be done is to seed the state placers like the TSSAA seeds the region placers. For example, AAA 1st, 4th, and 5th placers are on one side, and then the AAA 2nd, 3rd, and 6th placers are on the other side. That would guarantee that the finalists from one division are on opposite sides of the bracket. It would take a lot longer to look at head to head results from all 3 divisions. I've just been having fun with it. Thanks again for taking the time to set all of that up.
  9. I thought that too. It looked like the small school state champs in a lot of weight classes were way overseeded. For example, at 152, Reiniche and Dendy are the best two in my opinion out of all divisions at that weight. They are meeting in the semis, because Williams was seeded higher than Reiniche. At 113, Gross was beat in season by the AAA 6th place finisher Decarlos Allen, but Gross got the higher seed over every AAA placer besides Hicks. I think Bump just seeded them based off of where they placed, so the 3 state champs are automatically the top 3 seeds. Even though the 3 state champs probably are not the 3 best at a lot of weights, I wasn't too worried about it. It's just a fun little game for us to make our guesses. Thanks for taking the time to set this up Bump.
  10. And on top of that they have kids like Whiteside that should be back in the lineup.
  11. I'm going to reply to several of the posts at once. See below... 1) Boykin beat Evans head to head this season 5-4. 2) I want to see Bump's bracket as well. 3) I'm not sure why this thread has turned personal lol. It never seemed to me like anyone was hating on either side of the debate. Durdon was just posting results that supported who he thought would win. It didn't seem like he was trying to say anything bad about Noah. Maybe there's more to it than I know. 4) I still think I would take Horst in a close one. Maybe it's just because I haven't seen as much of Whitworth. Anyone that's been around Tennessee wrestling all over the state knows Noah where Whitworth is a somewhat newer name to me. With what little I've seen of him, I'm very impressed though. Congrats to both on their state titles. I bet we'll get used to hearing their names a lot for the next few years. 5) Bump mentioned what Beech has in the lightweights. If I lived closer I think I'd pay to watch one of those practices. I'd be especially curious to see who comes out on top out of Horst and Palmer after their performances this weekend.
  12. 106 - Horst 113 - Hicks 120 - Martin 126 - Wheaton 132 - Landers 138 - Pendley 145 - Fuller 152 - Rippy 160 - Sells 170 - McMahan 182 - Hicks 195 - Walling 220 - Boeck 285 - Kramer
  13. Thanks for the recap. Looks like it was closer than the final result shows. I hope his ribs are okay, and we get to see the rematch.
  14. Very impressive win for Reiniche. Wouldn't have expected him to pin Dendy.
  15. What a match! Jones got the pin with 18 seconds to put Cleveland back in it.
  16. Bowers head butted TJ. TJ retaliated with a head butt of his own.
  17. I shouldn't reply because I knew my opinion wouldn't be the popular one, but I'm going to anyway. First, why do people have to start throwing jabs when someone has a different opinion? I lost all credibility because we disagree? It's okay for people to disagree on here, and have differing opinions without getting so upset. It's just a message board, and I'm sure Boykin doesn't really care if I have him in my top 10. Second, I never said being a heavyweight takes their appomplishments away. I'm a big fan of Boykin and Evans. They'll probably go down as some the best HWT's TN has ever produced. I love watching them wrestle, and hope to see big things from them at the next level. I hope my previous post wasn't took as me trying to put them down, because it wasn't intended that way. Third, for MY pound for pound list, I threw out their past accomplishments. I was looking at it from a pure stylistic matchup, and I stand behind my opinion. There's a completely different style of wrestling between the big boys vs the smaller wrestlers. In MY opinion, that skill set doesn't translate well against someone like King. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm okay with that, because it's just MY opinion, and I don't expect everyone to think the same way I do. Fourth, at the end of the day, we are really comparing apples to oranges. It's just for fun, and all speculation. Pound for pound lists are just everyone making guesses. We're never going to know. I doubt we ever see King vs Boykin or Sells vs Evans and so on in the future. There's nothing to get bent out of shape about, because people don't have the same guesses as you about wrestling matchups that are never going to happen. We're just having fun with hypothetical scenarios.
  18. I agree with King as well. Boykin is the most credentialed, but that's not what a pound for pound list should be based off. A pound for pound list should come down to if everyone steps on the scale and weighs the same on a given day, who comes out on top? It probably won't be the popular opinion, but I wouldn't have any HWT in my top 10. I just can't see them keeping up with the leg attacks, scrambling, etc. of the lighter guys.
  19. I figured that if Wilkins makes it back, he was dropping to 138 as well. Weist has dropped to 145, and has been wrestling there for a little while now. I don't think he would of cut down to move right back up a couple weeks later. That's just me speculating though.
  20. I can't believe Whitworth isn't the 1 seed. Didn't he beat Bowers earlier this season?
  21. Cleveland - 30, Bradley Central - 29 Bradley was up 5 going into the last match. Garcia got the pin to give Cleveland another 1 point win.
