  1. How does that not make sense? It's a rather simple statement. "strings" needs to go back and re-read what was said about #2. Is that more clear? If he/she were really in the know like they claim to be, they would have known that.
  2. Go back and re-read, strings.....no one ever said #2 was going to play. If you are so "close" to all of the players on the field, you would have already known that.
  3. I do not believe he should have put his hands on him in response. I never said that was justified. What recourse did he have, though? That is what is sad in this situation.... that the player could throw words like that around without consequence.
  4. NashvilleChristianFan.....I am not #11's mom, although I would be honored to be. I guess I need to work on teaching my kids to sit and keep their mouths shut when there is injustice that befalls them or their loved ones/friends. Perhaps you have lost sight of right and wrong in favor of gaining or losing yards on the football field?
  5. The WC player called #11 the n word......what do you expect him to do? He is a great kid and shouldn't be subjected to such from anyone, ever.
  6. NCS hasn't thrown the ball 30 times in 4 games.
  7. Whomever you are, besides a gutless coward, you need a lesson in allegiance. Speak about what you KNOW . If you have any further questions, you can direct them towards ME when you see ME on campus. I know the answers. YOU, my friend, know less than nothing. Quit lurking around in anonymity because it is vile and reprehensible.
  8. There are some great places to eat....Daltons in Bellevue near Kroger on hwy 70...good meat and three. Publicity, in the same shopping center , with a bit more eclectic menu. Cancun is pretty good Mexican food. There is a fun little spot on Old Harding called City Limits which has soup, salads and very good sandwiches. There is also great pizza (AND laser tag) at Pizza Perfect, next to to aforementioned City Limits
  9. Im actually out looking under rocks and bridges for Mirror Thief.......
  10. It is hard to believe that the football players who decided "not to play" had no idea of the ramifications their decision would have on other teams (i.e. basketball, baseball, softball, et al.)
  11. I think one or two great players are the ones who get the HYPE on a 1A team. Some of the better players aren't perhaps "promoted" by the "big media machine", but that does not negate their weekly stats, their ability, their desire, or their contribution. Last year we had, and this year have, some "hyped" players. They can't catch the ball if no one throws it to them. They can't run the ball if they don't have support on the line. It may never really be a true game of 11 players on the field, but it is more than one or two. And no....we had a lot of mistakes and penalties last week....including my own kid with a big fumble/turnover. We were off our game, period.
  12. Funny thing is that I can bake a pie AND discuss football rather intelligently. I'm also voting for Hillary...get you some of that!!!! And NCSDad23, did you remember to sign L's permission slip for the retreat?
  13. Pujo, you fight like my ex-husband.....always wanted to try to have the last word in an invalid argument. Good luck to you and yours tonight.....and Go EAGLES !
  14. Other than not going for it on that 4th down, MTCS is a very well coached team. They kept our speed right where they wanted it to be all night. MTCS was very good at the things NCS was not as good at last night.
  15. Here's what you don't understand TheMirrorThief.... These kids don't have parents who "sell popcorn and soda" at the games to pay for a private school education. These kids work in the summer, after 3 hours of strength/conditioning or practice. They work outside in the heat. I saw guys moving a mountain of sand and dirt in order to facilitate building and refurbishing our bleachers and football field. They clean gyms up after basketball games. They help teachers move and set up classrooms. They are a part of making the school better. They take pride in being a part of a community that supports each other. Moms work in the daycare, partnering with parents to raise children... To raise future Eagles. So maybe that's the "recruiting" that everyone SCREAMS about on these boards. My kid was never "recruited". He contributes athletically on a weekly basis. He has been at NCS since 1st grade. He has been part of a community that has built a decent athletic program, period.
  16. Any word on the Gordonsville player who was taken to the hospital last night?
