  1. DoreFan, you were a part of some very good teams. Some of the "others" that you mentioned were outstanding "role players" who were also state placers including Brian Larimer, Ethan Elzen, and Clyde Clemons. Coach Gabriel had some VERY SOLID teams from top to bottom during the late 90's!
  2. KG, Thank you for the clarification. Looks like he avenged his loss in the "Upper" State Championships and Won the State Tournament. I've never saw the kid wrestle but I know he's pretty dang good if he can beat Henderson 13-4.
  3. I had never heard of the Milasauskas kid until last night when I was looking at some scores and saw that he majored Henderson. The score alone was enough for me to realize that he is an OUTSTANDING wrestler. But when I looked at last years SC Upstate AAA state championship 126lb results, it shows #1 seed Chad Milasauskas from Indian Land HS being "upset" by #2 seed Jared Smith from West Oak HS by a 2-1 score. If this is true, that would make him a SC State Runner-Up and not SC State Champion.
  4. Another CONGRATULATIONS to Cody Chittum and Grant Lundy for their Championships at 126 and 145 as well!
  5. Congratulations to Wysong on his 132LB Championship at Dixie.
  6. Wrestling God, just got you some more work to do bc I don't think Union Co. Ky will be at the Beech tourney and also believe that WeRazzlin forgot to list MBA as well.
  7. I think you are exactly right FBfan. There aren't very many private schools up East compared to the Middle TN area. The private schools get some of the "elite" athletes near Nashville while they are more likely to stay at their district school in ETN IMO.
  8. We are still here DevilMan. I have been very impressed with y'alls team, your O way more so than your D. I know we've only scored 7, but we had a couple of chances to score early in the game and "shot ourselves in the foot" and were able to run a little more than I expected us to be able to. Great job Greeneville and Congratulations.
  9. Mt Juliet finished 5th, Wilson Central 6th, Beech 7th,and Clarksville 19th
  10. Gotcha, Hope your boys get healthy and guess I'll see ya next yr.
  11. Are you or have you ever been a teacher/coach before?
  12. MrFix, how should I look you up?
  13. I asked a few people in the SD section if you were there and they didn't know. Coach T didn't help out this yr but he is still teaching down there.
  14. Think it is 1-1 Bump. Believe Bowers won by 4 or 5 (maybe 9-4 or 9-5) at Dixie Duals in March and Palmer won 8-0 abt 6 wks later at TN Ironman. Either way,it should be a great semis match with TJ waiting for the victor!
  15. A-AA most anticipated finals will be whoever is left standing in 113 and 138. AAA most anticipated finals will be 106 with Nelson and Horst, 113 with Hicks vs. the Bowers/ Palmer winner. I also wanna see 138 Pendley vs. the Wilkins/ Ingram winner and just about any 120 match after the first round.
  16. MrFix, Hope y'all have a safe trip up and your guys get healthy. I'll come over to the SD bunch and hopefully we can both see Ole CoachT. He's getting a "lil long in the tooth", but he's still THE MAN!
  17. You gonna be there Fri night? If so, I'll come over to the SD section and introduce myself to you. The real Coach T (at least in my small mind) was helping y'all last yr bc I spoke to him and Russo.
  18. KRider, I'm willing to bet the farm that 15yr old man/boy you call a son is in the finals. He got a very nice draw. What he does in that finals match against Noe/Olinger is what counts. If he wrestles well, it could just be one of a few he wins. I enjoy watching him wrestle. Just make sure you get there early and Getcha a good seat.
  19. MrFix, does the real Coach T still help out SD with their big guys?
  20. Agreed, was actually debating Henderson and Kligensmith. Even though Henderson has whipped him a couple times, I chose Kligensmith bc I liked his side of the bracket better aside from his first rd match with Helton and they're not wrestling each other. Actually think both will surprise some people this weekend.
  21. Thank you MrFix. Bet you really like my 70 and 95 picks I spent a little time on them before throwing names out and tried not to pick obvious choices outside of Teaster and Lundy, who often gets overlooked bc of Landers and Mc.
  22. Bump, I liked several of your bracket buster picks. You made it difficult to offer 2 more so I'm gonna offer just one in most wgts in addition to your two. 106- Thomas(Summ) and Seeley(SH) 113- Pendley(TN) 120- Nielson(Halls) 126- Kligensmith(Summ) 132- Lundy(EH) and Schnedler(Indy) disclaimer: Lundy prob shouldn't qualify as a bracket buster but he did finish third in his region so I'm taking him. 138-Can't disagree with Phillips(Arl) or Freeman(Rave). 145- Harter(TN) and Teaster(Heri) I Think Teaster could possibly be in finals if he was in the bottom side of the bracket! 152- Brown(Leb) I liked the Bonee(Tull) pick as well. 160- Strong(HL)I really like the Garrett(Beech) pick! 170- Maynor(SD) 182- Carney(Summ) IMO, you took the best two with Moore(Arl) and Williams(Clk). 195- Settles(SD) you took the best two again with Medina(SH) and Miller(McG) 220- Scott(TN) Bump, you're pretty good at picking the big guys. Roaten(Arl) and Barbour(NW) should do well. 285- Ellis(SevCo) and Salyers(DB) may surprise some people. They're not beating Boykin or "Little" Kramer but I think everyone else may be fair game.
