  1. SO QUIT SAYING WE HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE OFFICIATING BECAUSE WE DIDN’T!!!!!!! The only thing WE control is on each play. Where was the outrage when your #24 ripped our TE helmet off? Video. Check the video 2:13:00. C’mon. Yes your team had a lot of penalties but you can’t argue 2 unsportsmanlike on coach, 1 on player, 1 person foul, delay of games, false starts, offsides. YES you can argue holding penalties, it happens every play! So you are saying GCA pays off a 8 man crew every week? Serious allegations there brother.
  2. We are all Gods children. Posting sarcastic posts alluding that God cares enough to give one school advantage over another school is ludicrous. God has more important things to worry about than HS football. Calling out numbers are we? Like your #24 did to us right in front of the ref? Diamond Clear Media video 2:13:00 GCA vs GB. Take a look. Don’t think you want to. Don’t see us getting on your threads whining about it every week. Yes we had penalties also this game, plenty. ND won because they were the better team. Plain and simple. Implying that “home cooking” by Knox County referee crew is why you lost the game to us? No sir, you lost because we were the better team that night. We adjusted at the half and you didn’t. You know how that feels, because you did it to Coalfield. So go build a bridge back to your DI A/AA and get over it.
  3. I knew I shouldn’t have used Irish Spring deodorant today. Have no idea what I was thinking
  4. Safe travels to ND team and fans. Good luck both teams and pray for no injuries on either sidelines. Pray for good sportsmanship and controlled aggression. Hope the luck of the Irish flips sides tonight. If the outcome I want happens Coach Rusty Bradley will leave the field victorious and be re-named Coach Rusty O’Bradley!!
  5. Remember all GCA Rams fans. Eat Wheeties, Cocoa Puffs or whatever for breakfast tomorrow. Whatever you do, don’t eat LUCKY CHARMS!! #Boycottthe4leaf
  6. He will be slumming in the press box eating all the hospitality food. He’s 6’3” 240 LBs and looks like a mix clone of Brad Pitt and Ernest T Bass. Probably be wearing a blue bedazzled tank top with a Power G on it. Always wears a toboggan. He responds to a dog whistle. cant miss him.
  7. You never know, maybe, maybe not. Friday nights at GCA= great environment for an upset...or a beatdown. Lets hope for an upset. Stranger things have happened! In the words of the academy acclaimed actor of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures:"Ted, Strange things are afoot at the Circle K dude! Bill S Preston Esquire
  8. I guess in this situation you can play smart with class, but sounds like the problem was a year or 2 ago when games were scheduled. In district games cant be avoided if they are poor team, nothing you can do, but out of district games they should be as tough of a school as you could schedule. We consistently schedule over our heads in basketball, football and baseball as a rule, not caring how our overall record is as long as we cruise through districts on the way to tougher region or state bracket play. They aren't popular schedules with overbearing, stat driven parents, but they don't know squat anyway. I guess I would play my starters to middle/late of games for the benefit of my starters and I'd have to shelve my feelings for the other team
  9. There is winning with class(pulling starters at end of the 1st quarter on a bad team), and then there is playing smartly with class(leaving in starters until halftime or middle of 3rd quarter). At this time of the year, teams have either 2 or 3 games left for regular season. With a bad team, I personally would play smartly with class, leaving in my starters until half or middle of 3rd quarter. I wouldn't want to enter playoffs with starters who have only received 5-6 quarters of play in the last 3 games. If starters are pulled real early in games, then yes they will be rested and healthy, but at what expense to the team come week 1 of the playoffs. I don't fault teams who leave in starters a little late on bad teams this late in the year, as long as it's done tastefully and it's preparing team for the playoffs. I'd much rather see that then send in second string in the 2nd quarter and have a team come back too close for comfort and have to see starters come back late 3rd/4th quarter to mop up. Just my opinion.
  10. I'm glad we stop posting about pancakes, black pudding and eating nails. I was starting to get hungry. Sounds like (according to both sides) there is gonna be Bisquick in the trenches Friday night. I'm bringing some syrup just in case.
  11. Don't you mean the Halliburton/Haslam Petro School of Knoxville now? Adding the Halliburton to it makes it sound more mysterious/scandalous.
  12. I feel this game will be closer than most people expect. I know that ND has the advantage of the oversized trenchers on both lines and that will be an advantage. I think we will sling it around and keep it close. Attrition is something I don't think will be an issue. Our boys have been good with the forced hydration in the days leading up to games, so cramping for the most part have been avoided. They put in the off-season work and are game conditioned. I think our defensive bookends have played stellar this season and if we contain the run and force running between the tackles, then our D-line and LB's will take it from there. As for the pass threat, if we play our responsibilities and swarm to the ball which we have, then I don't see an issue there. Offensively we have to play hard in the trenches and be 2 dimensional. If we play to our ability and every player gives their all for the betterment of the team, then I see a GCA victory. Inevitably the victor will be the team who wins the play clock battle, minimizes penalties and wins the special teams game. Go RAMS
  13. The GCA guys (including me) are just busting your chops. We're use to the Div I boards where everyone talks smack and meets on Friday and joke about it. The Div II boards are usually like a library. We feel a duty to get this thread up and alive like the Div I A/AA is. This is all in good fun, roll with it guys!!
  14. Diamond Clear media GCA/GB game 2:13:00. I guess our player just sneezed too hard and his helmet flew off. Where was the outrage? Bottom line, both sides guilty, new week. Let's play football
  15. They upgraded to the MacIntosh computer. The Commodores floppy drive is out of service
  16. Appreciate it. Good luck to you guys also. BTW Booger can't swim well so make sure he wears his water wings when he gets in the pool to cool off before the game.
  17. The stats I got were from unapproved website and GCA was the only ones who put the stats on the box scores for both matchups. If I had Webbs or Alcoas stats, they would've been included. They didn't enter stats. GCA uses Statsman app and it send them to the sites
  18. Ok I'm going to do this for BC and Spartan. With GCA being the only team that both your teams have played then I'll provide a little data, no entry by Alcoa or Webb, (courtesy of unapproved website) and you guys can gauge your hypothetical 2017 matchup then go at it, so this thread can get back to ND/Webb football. I am impartial and respect both programs. First off, both teams treated GCA well, played great and had awesome, respectful athletes and classy coaches and fans. Alcoa game- 30-14 Alcoa 1stQ Alcoa-6 GCA-7 2ndQ Alcoa-9 GCA-7 3rdQ Alcoa-30 GCA-7 4thQ Alcoa 30 GCA-14 GCA total AP yds- 342 Webb game- 48-21 Webb 1stQ Webb-7 GCA-13 2ndQ Webb-21 GCA-13 3rdQ Webb-35 GCA-21 4thQ Webb-48 GCA-21 GCA total AP yds 466 OK gentlemen get in the ring, the bell has rung. Go Rams
  19. The sounds of the crickets chirping on this thread are so calming and therapeudic.
  20. I feel these protesting players are only doing it for attention. Ask how many players have attended a protest for police brutality, inequality or racial injustice on their own time devoid of the media. VERY few. They are using the media for their own agendas and political bashing and people paid to watch them play football not express their political views. If you're protesting Trump, then tweet it, Facebook post it or whatever. If owners would say when you suit up, you work for me. You do as I request or be released. It would stop. You have freedom of speech and expression but a employer dictates how far you can exercise that right, same as every other American with their employer. On their own time, if they want to protest, then fine. The flag and national anthem is not the time or place for it. At that time the focus should be on America, freedom and the ones who have served and who's caskets were draped with that flag.
  21. If any GCA people go there by way of Bristol Highway, then beware of Piney Flats speed camera. I paid a small fortune until I finally found it. Go slow. Ridgewood BBW is great. The BBQ place on the creek right by the school is good also.
  22. What happened today is a disgrace. I had to watch Calgary versus Saskatchewan in CFL. I won't watch a NFL game if players disrespect our flag and anthem. Players say we have freedom to protest and that's partly true. You can disrespect our flag if you want on your own time, but if a owner says his players aren't allowed to kneel, then you don't have that freedom. You are a paid employee of that owner and you have to respect their wishes or be fired. Same for every person with a job. Say or do what you want, but on company time things are different. I wonder if these unpatriotic players would protest on their own time if they weren't getting paid or the media attention. I think not, they don't care for the cause, they just want to be center of attention.
  23. I might go to Beef O'Bradys or if not many in party, go to Gregs Pizza
  24. On that play the white hat was standing on the 12 yard line right hash. Watched it again. No arm movement
