Lots of good teams in 3A this year. Maryville has already defeated SM this year and they are probably the 4th best 3A team in the Knoxville area. I’m going to say the state champ come from Knoxville.

What I was told, the assistant coach stated feeling bad mid week so he got tested and got the results back Friday. So they did the right thing and shut down the basketball team. I was told that the superintendents son was not doing anything basketball related just for this reason.

No. The superintendents son was at the Bradley game but did not coach, he hasn’t been to basketball practice he is only coaching football. The other assistant coach tested positive Friday, that’s why the basketball team was put in quarantine. I said Meigs would win by 20.

I did see were Cookeville beat Stewards creek by 20, and after seeing Bradley play, It could be a tough year compared to what there used to having.

McMinn girls just got drilled three straight games, they lost by 40 to Maryville, the same team that Meigs lost to by 20. But like you said we will find out Monday. Back to football.

Lol are serious? You do know that Meigs has won 15 out of the last 20 games, and should win by 20+ Monday because McMinn is really bad this year.

Meigs ran the ball all night but had 7 or 8 falls starts. That put them behind the chains, TC tuck advantage of Meigs OL being very aggressive and would shift the DL, causing Meigs to jump. Good coaching by TC.

Meigs could be up 14-0 if they would quit shutting themselves in the foot.

Some interesting games today from some of the top 3A schools vs some of the top 2A schools. Upperman vs Bradley, Meigs vs Maryville, and Northview Academy vs Bearden.

Not many small schools close to Meigs and the ones that are want play them, and to be honest the only quality competition is the bigger schools in this area.

It could be like the 2018 game when both offenses were hard to stop and what defense could get that one key play.

It should be a great game. I don’t think TC can stop the Meigs offense because it’s really good, but Meigs will have to stop the TC as well.

They said the same thing in 18 when Meigs went to the creekbank and Meigs lost 32-29. It’s simple the O-line is what makes Meigs go, they are really good, and you put #34 and #2 back there they are really hard to stop. I haven’t seen TC play this year but I have seen Bledsoe play and Meigs is a lot better on both sides of the ball. 28-14 Meigs

SG losing composure

I said when I watched SG and Hampton play that Hampton was better.

I hear that we were struggling to find teams to play this year, so he had to schedule some bigger schools. It will definitely be tough especially not having much depth.

Meigs plays Bearden next weekend and they have Bradley central and Farragut on the schedule. Should be some good game but tough.

I hear that Meigs picked up Kings Academy for Saturday at 5. I think they had a good team last year so it should be a good game.
