I'm not sure how WaCo JaCo became a problem for a certain OR fan but I have enjoyed his posts for a very LONG time. His off beat style is all his own and very refreshing to read. All the best to WaCo and the other DB posters. Too bad you all will have to go down tomorrow night LOL I hate that I can't see this game, it probably will be a classic. To the Oak Ridge poster I mentioned in the first sentence...I agree with what you are saying just don't get the problem with JaCo.

I graduated with Kenny Hawkins in 1982. Kenny was a super athlete and wonderful guy. In ninth grade at Jefferson, he was the starting QB and a special one at that. A knee injury ended his season. He rehabbed his knee and came back to play point guard on the basketball team but suffered another knee injury that ended his playing career. He was a great leader and we who played with him loved his leadership style I have no doubt he would have been a star at ORHS. Kenny went to college and got involves in broadcast journalism. He has worked a very long time in the tri-cities area Northeast Tennessee. I hope this explains who Kenny "the Hawk" Hawkins is.

Did you all see the Coach's show last night? We can't say Coach Gaddis did warn us if DB beats us. Their OL is huge and they do have a solid tandem at RB. He also said if it wasn't for TOs and penalties, DB beats a very good Greeneville team. We have a fight on our hands so come prepare to open a six pack of Whoopie Cream ( can't say what I wanted to say ) on them. RWR, GRRRRRR!

I found a Facebook page called, Oak Ridge Youth Football, that covers our kids teams. It appears they did join the Knoxville league and are doing well. There is a post from a dad upset his kid could not play because he did not live in OR. I hope this Facebook page helps you.

No reason to regret your opinion on Jordan vs HVA. I think you stated what happened clearly and precisely. Screens make me nervous because I am slow to recognize them. I freak out when I see the DL running free after our QB and think the OL just messed up. Then when I see the play was meant to let the DL in I feel better LOL.

The knifes are out already? I will trust the coaches over an unknown CoachT Poster making his/her third post. Jordan Graham will be fine and have an outstanding season but it will be hard for him. Every team will scheme to keep him wrapped up. With that said welcome Elitesports4 RWR - beat DB

Oak Ridge is too high at # 3 We may have the talent to get there or higher but a lot of growing will have to take place. I believe it will. I would put Catholic at #1 and Rhea County #2 even though both lost. This is going to be a great season for 5A. Fun, fun, fun.

What former star does # 2 remind you of? I hope it is Tee or Summers. My all time favorite players.

I posted or meant to post the DB rushing yards. The 422 yards concern me. Can we hold the Tribe's rushing game? I am banking on DB not having a RB as good as Dykes and we will be okay.

Just read the DB game article in the Kingsport paper. ...DB committed 13 penalties, 8 in the second half. How many did OR have against HVA? ...Lost three turnovers. How many did OR have? ...Gained 420 yards! Our defense will have to continue to improve to stop the run. ...Dee Williams took a pass on the Indians' second play 68 yards for a TD. Sounds like Stewart to Martin on the Cats first snap. I hope OR makes a load of progress from HVA to DB. Limit turnovers, penalties and DB rushing yards and the Wildcats squeak out a 21 -17 victory. In a huge upset, ORHS Marching Wildcat Band defeats the Tribe Band 5 songs to 4 songs. J/K

Tee update... Knox Catholic's Amari Rodgers is getting great reviews but Tee is still getting good reviews for his talent and toughness. Coach Dabo says all 9 of the top WRs have the ability to go Pro when their time is up. Tee will probably get snaps in the first game. The plays he gets later in the season will be more meaningful. Please, do not ask me to post in a different thread. My blood runs Cardinal and Gray.

I think the question to be asked is about Catswild's opinion on the early season schedule. He doesn't like it. It is a legitimate question to ask Coach Gaddis, though. I doubt his answer will satisfy the critics. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree. We all agree on one thing, though...... RWR!
